Three of us embarked on a two day journey originating in Phoenix, AZ and terminating in Davis, IL which was marked by a stop at least every two hours to accomplish any combination of these goals. I drank more coffee, sodas. and energy drinks in the last 48 hours than I've consumed in the last month. The Skyway Travel Center was located conveniently within eye sight of the I-40 Freeway. We saw it from the freeway and had plenty of time to change langes and exit. It is located just off the freeway with easy access both getting on and off the exit and had reasonably priced Shell branded gasoline, cue checking off list item #1. The restrooms were clean, check off list item #r2. There was a Subway Sandwich store inside the same building as the convenience store, but it was too soon after breakfast and too far away from lunch for us to want to take advantage of it, but there was a good selection of drinks in the refrigerated case and the fountain offered both Diet Pepsi and Diet Dr Pepper, so Tyoni and I had no trouble finding drinks to help us survive the next leg of the drive, check off list item #3. I wandered around a room filled with Native American themed items for sale and kept myself entertained while Tyoni picked out a Sudoku book to keep herself entertained. It was Ron's turn to drive, so we checked the last item off our list and hopped back into the car to resume our journey

We knew that it was going to need attention but we were in the middle of the trip, not familiar with the area and tired. We stopped, ate, stayed at a nearby hotel. The next day I searched for local mechanics that were AAA certified. Lo and behold, just a couple miles up the freeway was Ed Corley's Ford and they were AAA certified. I've never found a dealer that was AAA certified. Being Saturday we were surprised and happy that Jess (Butler) got us in right away and had us fixed up and ready to go less than 4 hours later. This was key for us, we had plane reservations to fly back to TX on Monday and could not lose a day for repairs. Ford dealer, parts in stock and repairs done. The truck hummed along great the rest of the way, even better than when we started, so this issues was going to happen eventually. My wife and I were grateful that not only we were led here but that we could fix this before gifting it to our son. In talking to Kevin Bond were happy to be in this dealership. He was very confident about the staff and they delivered. All in all we felt that it was meant to be for us to stop in Grants for the night and find Ed Corley's Ford. We got there in time, got our flights out on Monday and all ended up great.

It became apparent to me that one of my 10 ply tires on my trailer was dangerously bald and I was worried to make it through the mountain pass and the isolated rural desert roads to get back to Las Vegas. So I called around and found Delta tire. They got me in even though it was right toward the end of their day and they were getting ready to close. Colby (or Coby) and the other staff were so helpful and accommodating. We got a very fair price for two 10 ply tires and then we were on our way. We still had about 6 and 1/2 hours left to our journey but at least I knew that we were going to be safe going to the desert and not be stranded with some flat tires without any help. The thing really did a number to my tire; it blew out my front right side tire. We called for a tow truck, and the ETA was 300 minutes. 5 hours for a TOW!? Luckily, Lorenzo offered to drive on the freeway, jack up the car, take my tire off, drive back to the shop, put the new tire on the rim, then drive back to the freeway and put the new tire on. It was A++ service. He and his family were incredible, great, friendly, and hardworking people! He works with you, and the price was fair as well. One of the best experiences I've had with tire service. I highly recommend them for any help or new tires!
