We were looking for a place to recover the seat of my husband's 25 year old motorcycle. He has had…read moreto do this at least once in the past, but our previous option is no longer in business. At high elevation, the sun is strong and our summer to winter temperatures vary greatly in this climate. Seats do no last long. There are a few places in Denver, one known for fancy stitchery of a very different sort of bike. We were looking for someone who could do the simplicity of our original seat style and not far from Boulder. Boulder no longer has any repair and replacement options for motorcycles. I called a few places I found on Yelp and Google. I found this close and easy to access option with 5 star Yelp reviews and thought we would go talk to them. We did that a few weeks ago and they measured the seat and decided on some simple textured black marine grade covering. It's what the bike originally had on it when we got it new. They ordered the material, gave us the price it would cost to have it done and it seemed totally appropriate to us so we approved it. The work was done in their shop, even though they were in the process of moving the entire establishment to a location about 6 blocks away. Total time was a few weeks, as promised. We could see that they also do furniture and vintage cars as well. Michael and David were so friendly and helpful and true to their word. They are still in need of a new sign out front, so check the directions well to find the parking lot on the west side of Main St, between a restaurant and a used car lot. Note the new address when Yelp posts the change I submitted. It is 1120 Main St. And definitely call first before going out to see about your project.

I told him the repair was "still visible" and wrote such on his paperwork. He said it was impossible to hide the repair. The service repairman then refused to let me take a picture of the document that I just signed where I wrote "still visible". In fact, he snapped his folder shut, not letting me take my picture. I said I knew the owner of the furniture company and would communicate directly with him that the repairman was very disrespectful. The repairman then hit my doors with his tools, damaging such. I am nonplussed to say the least.

He was prompt in responding to my bid request, provided information on the Sunsetter product and quality, compared it to competitive awning providers and gave me a bid at our initial meeting. No hard sell. Just helpful information and a price quote which was more than competitive with other providers. It came down to the fact I liked Steve and felt comfortable dealing with him. We had an educational and enjoyable exchange without hype or pressure, firming up our needs, tuning our choices, and learning about options that have added value to our awning (e.g., drop-down shade for the western sun, wind sensor for auto retraction). Steve's calm assurance as he scoped out specifics for installing on our deck gave us confidence in selecting his services. HIs good humor was a bonus. Installation was a joy, with Steve handling all aspects, while we were out of town. In sum, selecting Steve Linfield to supply/install an awning for our deck gave us a pain-free project with an A++ result. Highly recommended.
