ALP has been our first and worst experience with ABA therapy for my son. They have very unqualified BT's that do not what they are doing and are not patient or attentive with the children. They also take forever to answer your concerns. At first they tolled me they would give me updates every 6 months and they never did.I did a grevience with my insurance company and they completly lied about everything of course they dont want to loose clients or the insurance that pays them.Even our BCBA said that the company takes more than they can handle. Autism Learning Partners (ALP) deserves negative stars. Even a single star is too generous considering the ordeal they put innocent children and families through. Their actions do not benefit the children they claim to serve. They lie and deceive parents, lack transparency, and their leadership fails to follow through. No parent should trust this company with their child, especially if your child is non-verbal autistic child. My son had been receiving ABA therapy from another provider and thrived under their care. However, due to an insurance change in April, we switched to ALP. I made it clear that I'd like to consider continuity with his previous therapist as she was very effective with him and they have already developed a rapport. I was told to have her apply and go through the hiring process like everyone else. Fine. I wasn't expecting to cut corners. After about two months of waiting, ALP finally matched my son with his therapist, and it was a fleeting moment of relief. She was someone who they recently hired. My son was excited, they developed rapport the first day and he was looking forward to seeing her for his second session the next day. I brought him home from school early so that he could begin her session with him. She didn't show up. I received no communication from ALP. We later learned she had quit. With this therapist, ALP sent someone to my home who didn't know what autism is and had interest in working with autistic children. ALP's approach seems to be a haphazard rush to match any therapist with any child, without regard for compatibility or the child's needs. Their so-called solution was to send yet another inexperienced therapist. Obviously I was concerned that the very same thing would happen again. ALP is apparently used to this happening and they will just get another therapist quickly trained and get them matched to m son. That's their solution. ALP's model is fundamentally flawed, constantly shuffling children between therapists, wasting precious time on rapport-building and setting nonsense goals rather than delivering effective ABA therapy. When I spoke with Jessica about the possibility of my son continuing with his previous therapist, she claimed it was against their policy--contradicting their earlier advice to have her apply. This inconsistency eroded any remaining trust I had in them. ALP clearly does not prioritize these children's success. Their practices are detrimental and they fail to advocate for the children they serve. I am now seeking another in-network provider because I cannot trust ALP with my son's care. No other parent and child should have to endure what we did. ALP's model of constant therapist turnover is harmful. They need to support families genuinely, not perpetuate high egos from their leadership team and push for poor practices. read more

This company is acquisitive and provides terrible services. They are only looking at the business aspect and have no care for families with kids that have ASD. The therapists are barely trained and have no prior experience with kids (or kids with autism). More than that they are unwilling to work and just sit idle in the sessions or using their phones. They are always extremely understaffed and the supervisor never showed up as promised. We were always informed the plan was changed because they only provide tentative plans as per their policy. The teams are very unprofessional and made derogatory remarks often. I have even seen their supervisors gossiping about clients with the therapists. We always had to ask for data and progress because its their policy again to not have parents see the data that the team is capturing. And then when we asked on the progress and that the sessions were not going effective, they even threatened us to stop services and they actually cut off a lot of hours for our son. There are better ABA companies out there that care about kids with ASD. read more

I would give them no stars if I could. They are not up front with you when you talk to them. They won't work with the schedule for the kid. If they recommend hours and if it's too much for the child they don't care or change it. They won't give you service. They don't take in consideration what is best for the child. Don't use them keep looking and you will find a better company out there. read more

Mean supervisions, poorly trained technicians who are mostly high school graduates. Don't waste your time with ALP if you have an option.

We had a terrible experience with this company! As a parent thrown into the pool of your "child has autism" not knowing much you have to trust what you are being told! We were given great assessments and goal plan, BUT the therapist that showed up to help my daughter was so green that she had NO idea what she was doing and had a severe lack of supervision! She went through a 3 week training- that's it... for how much you are paying (about $200 a week) this is appalling. Our therapist quit without notice. We spent $700 for NOTHING ABSOLUTELY ZERO. This place is extremely unprofessional and not willing to listen to your needs and concerns. Also, they send out surprise invoices on the 10th of the month and just pull the money out on the 20th. Horrible customer service & experience. Avoid this company!! read more

I wish there were more reviews for ABA companies online. I think it's because parents of kids with Autism are so busy surviving that they don't have time. So, here's to all you parents trying to find an ABA company! Nov. 2017 we applied to 2 companies literally days after a diagnosis. We applied to ALP and Trumpet. I had to keep up with ALP, Trumpet would send me an email every single month asking if we wanted to stay on the waitlist, every month I replied. Finally in April I called and then was told we could begin services. After more paperwork and evaluations we began therapy the end of June 2018. While our first therapist was sweet, she was not implementing programs. Being new at ABA and currently going through medical troubles about 6 weeks in I chatted with another mom and she said.. wait all she is doing is playing? You need to ask for another BT asap. So I did. We seemed to have semi regular meetings with the BCBA and the senior BT. Both who were very nice and understanding. 3 therapists later (June 2019) we left for a 6 week vacation to Europe. We were told our spot would not be saved, I understood, but figured being a previous client we hopefully wouldn't have to wait long. I was wrong, we were placed back on the waitlist. COVID-19 happened and then I got an email from both companies.. Trumpet.. did you count?? Yes, that is 2 years and 4 months later on the waitlist, and ALP. I promptly said yes to Trumpet and no to ALP. Because many people were putting services on hold we decided to start services with Trumpet. I will review them so if you want to see my review you can look them up. Honestly, ALP doesn't seem to be as organized and well run. Again, it's the people that make it and really love the kiddos. Yes, there is turnover with BT's, but I am not sure if that can be helped. We also did the social skills group at ALP and my son enjoyed it. Having my child receive services through them has been a terrible experience. Yes, there's the usual issue of the BTs cancelling at the last minute and frequent changes of staffing without notification, but that's not my chief concern. The organization cultivates an atmosphere of punishment and victim-blaming for anyone who complains about anything, from supervisors to BTs to families. I complained about the many cancellations without notification and about new BTs coming into my house and behaving in ways that made me uncomfortable, and was punished by having my child's coverage cancelled. I had also at one point expressed concern about behavior from mid-level supervisors and my family was placed on a "family improvement plan" due to my concern about THEIR inappropriate behavior. It wasn't until I spoke with an employee who had been fired because of speaking up for families that I received confirmation that my FEELING that my family was being punished for standing up for themselves was the REALITY of the people who run the organization. This is such an unhealthy company! We only stayed because some of the actual BTs who do the work were pretty good, but they were all cancelled without notification and without saying good-bye to my kid because of the retributive attitude of the core staff.
