We appreciate how honest the therapist was about how she didn't see any underlying concerns with her in this area and was not pushy about continuing therapy sessions. But we did discuss perhaps occupational therapy to help her with feeding for future development. So we booked a few feeding OT sessions with Nadia and my daughter was in love with her from day 1. She was kind, patient and instantly connected with our daughter in trying to pin point the best way to encourage her to open up on how she interacts with food. Would highly recommend.

On recommendation of our dentist, we tried some videos to help him with speech, but we were not successful on our own. After a Zoom call with Ariel and Ahmad, the speech therapist, we felt very confident and comfortable with Fairfax Pediatric Therapy. After the first session, my son made huge strides in his "sh" sounds - he was actually able to articulate it correctly, even if it was a struggle. Long story short, as of today (3 months after starting) Finn has met all of his speech goals and no longer needs the services. Both Ahmad and Finn worked hard to make this happen - and in such a short time. I didn't expect progress so fast, to be honest. Not only that - my kiddo actually looked forward to the sessions. Ahmad took the time to get to know his interests - chess and strategy games - and built the sessions around play. When we left today, for the last time, Finn said he was going to miss his friend. We have had the best experience! Thank you.

Our journey started with a thorough evaluation and a clear, personalized plan to help expand our son's language skills -- and it truly worked. We began seeing improvement within just a few weeks, and now, a little over a year later, the transformation is incredible. Ms. Sonika met our son exactly where he was. She struck the perfect balance in sessions -- warm and flexible, yet firm when needed. She set age-appropriate expectations and boundaries, and gently but consistently encouraged him to reach them week after week. I can say without a shadow of a doubt that speech therapy has changed our son's life. He can now express himself confidently and has the language skills to engage in meaningful conversations with friends and family. We are beyond grateful for Ms. Sonika. Our time in therapy has come to an end, and our boy is leaving confident, capable, and well equipped for the future. We couldn't have asked for a better therapist.

Literally the worst ABA company. The miscommunication is insane, they have a high turn over rate,…read moreand the manager Lisa Brown is horrible. My insurance allowed me 30 hours per week. And for longest time I was doing 6 hours per week (3 days) with no issues. Then once summer started, I added an extra day with 4 hours, 4 days total. Lisa miscommunicated to me that our therapist would only be available for one long day and needed to add this 4th day. Which I agreed to. Well come to find out, Lisa had me down for TWO long (4 hours) days. I kindly let this office know this is not what was talked about and to only do the 4 hour day that was talked about originally. We tried having a long day for 2 weeks in a row and my son was not having it. 4 hours was too much for him to where he was fussy and crying and I did not want to deter him from wanting to do his therapies. Mind you, he's only 4 and does other therapies on top of ABA. I emailed the company and CC'ed multiple people that I wanted to shorten my added 4th day and do his regular hours, which was an hour and half. Just like the other 3 days he's been doing. I get no response. Then a week later I am waiting for the therapist to arrive for our session and she doesn't come. So I call the company and they inform me that they are having a monthly staff meeting and normally let their clients know that therapy has been cancelled. I never received a phone call or email notifying me of this. Also, this happens a lot, failing to communicate with parents of changes. Then I also say I want to confirm my schedule change since our 4 hour day was the following day and I had yet to hear back from the office confirming this change. I speak to Tamica and she lets me know it's been approved. Only after she had told me she had no idea of this change request I had made to begin with, despite me including her on the email a week prior requesting to shorten our 4th day. Well hours later I get a call from a supervisor telling me Lisa wanted her to call me and let me know they cannot accept my schedule change and that I actually need to do a minimum of 15 hours per week now. Gives me a fake story about insurance authorization needing it this way and how I HAVE to do 15 hours minimum. And also due to some issue I was having with my copays. Well the "issue" is that I just met my deductible and no longer have copays. I also upgraded my plan to a higher one. How ironic that now all of a sudden this company tells me I HAVE TO have a minimum of 15 hours when I was doing 6 hours since I began (9 months) until a few weeks ago when I added an additional day. Regardless if I cut back my hours on that day, it's still an additional day and still more hours than what I was doing. I went from 3 days to 4 days. I called the office and spoke directly to Lisa after my conversation with the supervisor. I asked her to explain this 15 hour requirement. And it was clear she was making it up. Clearly Lisa felt some type of way over their miscommunication with the long days and now that I had no copays, the payout clearly wasn't worth the hassle. It's clear this company wanted to bully me into doing more hours so that they could bill my insurance. My insurance allowed me 30 hours, it is up to ME how many I want to use. And I refuse to force my child to the point that he's crying after doing ABA for hours, just to stay with this company. This incident was my last straw to end my services with Comfort Kare. Whatever you do, do not use this company. There are tons of better ones that actually care and communicate with you. These people don't even communicate with each other, best believe they won't communicate with you.

After years of trying to find the right mental health provider, I finally feel like I'm in the…read moreright hands with Mary Hart-Johnson, a highly trained and board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner. She is the first provider I've seen who genuinely listens. Most of my past appointments with other doctors felt rushed and focused only on renewing prescriptions, but she actually takes the time to talk with you and understand what's going on. That alone sets her apart. She goes far beyond quick check-ins. She asks thoughtful questions, remembers your history, and works with you to figure out what's helping and what isn't. If someone wants a fast prescription with minimal conversation, she isn't the right fit. But if you want a provider who truly engages with your care, she is exceptional. I also appreciate her balanced approach. She prescribes medication when it's needed, but she also recommends vitamins and supplements to support brain health so you aren't relying solely on pharmaceuticals. It's not an extreme holistic approach and it's not a medication-only mindset. She blends both in a thoughtful, evidence-based way that supports long-term improvement. Over time, I've felt more supported and more understood by her than with any other mental health provider I've seen. She looks at the full picture, not just the symptoms on a chart, and that makes a meaningful difference in how I manage my conditions. If you're looking for someone who combines expertise, compassion, and real attention to your needs, I highly recommend Mary Hart-Johnson, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC. Five stars without hesitation.
