It's a pretty good food vendor offering some typical or "authentic" Korean dishes as the sign suggests. We opted for bibimbap bowls to play it safe this time. I was not disappointed. The only objection I had was that eggs were fried hard, but I'd understand food safety issue it may cause if it were sunny-side-up with runny yoke. Vegetables (spinach, carrots, cucumbers, zucchini, mushrooms) and ground beef were nicely flavored. I wished if there were some flavored shiitake instead of button mushrooms, but... You can choose to have poured some soy sauce, gochujang or both. If you like it really spicy, you can get lots of gochujang.
According to the photo menu posted they offer: Nürnberg bowl (three pieces of Nürnberger bratwürsts on a bed of steamed white rice with kimchi), kimbap, assorted maki sushi, etc. Bowls are all 7,80 €. Judging from what I had today, kimbap (6.50 €) should be good, as well as some maki (like California rolls). You can also get some kimchi on a side.
I'm not sure how often this food truck opens in the Hauptmarktplatz (in the city center where they hold Kristkindlesmarkt [Christmas market]), but it offers solid alternative to Nürnberger bratwürsts and other staple food items at this location.
It's worth at least one try to see if you like it or not. Bon appetit! read more
