I also loved that it was packed full of veggies. I may have asked for extra veggies but my convo is limited in both German and Vietnamese (hello, thank you is about it). I ordered some summer rolls (€5.20 or so) to start and a vegan Pho Chua (€12.90) as a main, that features a tamarind lemongrass broth. It took quite a while for even the rolls to be brought out: close to half an hour. But it turns out, it was worth the wait. The summer rolls were very nicely made, with fried tofu, shredded veggies, noodles, and served with a rich peanut dipping sauce. The pho was more like a tom yum noodle soup with all that tamarind and lemongrass. The broth was tangy, tomatoey and quick rich yet balanced. It came with plenty of tofu, seitan, mixed mushrooms (button, seafood), carrot, and medium-width rice noodles. Very satisfying. Great vegan-friendly, central spot. Recommended.

The restaurant was pretty busy but there is plenty of tables so I didn't have to wait long for a seat. I started with some summer rolls with shrimp, which are served with a peanut sauce, delicious. It was a rainy and cold night in Erlangen so a warm soup definitely caught my attention. I ordered the traditional Vietnamese soup with beef, it was delicious! We were happy with their extensive menu, the speed at which they prepared the food, and the taste of the food. The only negative thing I can say is that seating is limited, most or all of it is outside, and they did not clean up the ashtrays full of ash left by previous customers who were long gone (Ew!). The ramen came out in under 10 minutes. The broth was light but flavourful, and amped up nicely by the chili oil and chili powder on the table. Good portion and everything works pretty well together, but I'd have preferred non-deep fried gyoza. Friendly service and reasonably priced. Recommended as with all the other Takumi locations I've visited.

The dipping sauce was good. The tempura mix had too much oil. It's like they reused the oil many times to fry the tempura which didn't have a good after taste. We also ordered sweet potato fries and that tasted like candy. Super sweet, yummy and crispy but again, the oil was recycled. Despite the oil issue, they offer a variety of food that I would order if I'm ever back in this area.

The lady who sat us was very nice and didn't seem to be angry we spoke English however our waitress wasn't very friendly, I wasn't aware of their only accepting cards from Germany so I had to walk to the atm to get cash. She kinda of barked at me when she found out don't have a German bank account. The pink decorations are very cute and help with the ambiance of the restaurant.
