BUYERS BEWARE!!! DO NOT ENTER THEIR YELP REVIEW GIVEAWAY!! THEY WILL NOT PAT YOU OUT!!! The crooks at Authentic 209 located on McHerny in Modesto are by FAR the most poorly managed business I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Some of the staff are kind of nice but they are barely trained and can't even answer the most basic of questions. This location sells vape carts for $10 more than the dispensary located on Hatch in Modesto. After each transaction, the staff is directed to inform the customer of a $100 gift card contest they're having for customers that review them on Yelp so I decided to review them. I was informed I won the contest on Yelp and didn't hear anything further so I contacted manager Michelle and spoke with a young woman claiming to be a big boss and explained everything, she took my number and congratulated me. Fast toward one week later, I still haven't received a call from Anyone so I called them back today and was informed the verbiage of my congratulations on Yelp wasn't clear enough and that I did not win. Dont waste your time with these crooks unless you like giving your money to selfish rude people that have absolutely no loyalty for customers that have spent thousands of dollars at their store. Was in the area and looked up dispensaries. Authentic looked to have the best selection so I gave it a try. I was hesitant when I saw 2 armed guards, and asked if it was a sketchy neighborhood, but they were nice and said it was regulations they had to go by and that it was a nice neighborhood. The guy at the desk was very friendly and informative. Two minutes later and I was entering the store/ pharmacy. Big, bright, super clean and lots of inventory with everything on display. 2 more minutes and I was talking to a budtender, Ally. Place is garbage and the staff is horrible - worst service I've ever experienced - rude as f***. The worst is the big thug security guard, I think they call him "Big Oaf", looks like he's straight out of prison and tries to intimidate customers. Even heard him cussing at one of the homeowners who lives adjacent to their property. Wtf? Another example of the downhill trend Modesto has been on for years now and why all the decent people are fleeing and leaving it to the thugs, tweakers, and bums. It was my first time visiting and everyone was super nice. The staff was very welcoming and quick to let us know about the specials going on. Ashley was especially helpful and more than willing to explain all the different products (there are A LOT) and promotions going on. She was super friendly and fun to talk to which is something I love to see when I go to a place. I'd go back again just to deal with her. If i could give this place more stars I would! The security here is VERY RUDE, prejudice and disrespectful. Today I witnessed the tall white Security with tattoos yelling at a guy in the parking lot, the security looked like he was trying to fight him. Then the Security told the guy " tonight I'm going to f*** your mom"!!!
