Staff may not always be particularly friendly unless you're a regular customer, but they are very…read moreefficient, and manage to sort through quite long lines very quickly. As with all post offices, there's a lot of weird gift things, which seem to be quite expensive for what they are, but I suppose someone must buy them, or they wouldn't have them. In this day of "do everything on the internet", it's good to know how useful Post Offices are (and probably good to know now, so you'll know where to go when your computer/internet breaks...)

I run a small business from home and so I have plenty of packages coming in and out of the house…read more Most packages are delivered to me by the Oxley Post Office and all packages I send out are through them as well. As I have been dealing with this post office on a regular basis, they now know what packages to look out for on my behalf. The staff are so attentive and friendly, it makes it very easy to deal with them. The post office itself is quite small, but they do have all the basic postage needs required such as the boxes, packets, sleeves, bubble wrap, envelopes, stamps etc. However, because it is quite small, there normally is only two staff behind the counter and during lunch time is can get quite busy. So be sure to expect this at that time or come earlier or later in the day. Conveniently located next to the Oxley train station and plenty of parking space in the area.

The service is swift, knowledgeable and on-point when it comes to seeking the best postage and shipping options for sending around Australia and overseas. The busy nature of this post office, and perhaps most, doesn't afford time for friendly chats or smiles and greetings when it's your turn to be served at the window. But that's okay...you'll get what you came for and that's all that really matters.

You can feel the arrogance emanating from the staff. $29.90 is the price for a police check for a volunteer position or $49.90 for a normal check BUT the gap staff refused to listen and tried to charge me $60. I called customer service for the post office and they confirmed that I was right. The gap post office takes pleasure in wasting your time and money. My advice to anyone is to take the next bus to the nearest post office that is NOT the gap's.

The guy that is always there is friendly and helpful, I had a parcel that had to go out that day and he told me the mail trucks pick up times and where to go If I missed the last one so it would still be sent that day, as well as the parcel I was also planning on posting a letter in the mailbox and he noticed I had the wrong stamp on and helped me. They sell weird trinket stuff that I don't think anyone buys, but they have all the bags and boxes and things you would expect. Overall, great little Australia post, nothing fancy, but then... Who needs a fancy post office...?

Everyone was so friendly and helpful There was also a sweet woman at the front of the line to direct you to the next available counter for service. While my friend was in line to mail his holiday cards and packages, I wondered around to look at the last minute gift ideas they had available in the store. My friend also picked up some beautiful cards he just couldn't live without. We will definitely be back. Lots of cute gift ideas- both for yourself and others. I was especially drawn to the adorable doggy doorstop. What a perfect gift for my dog loving friends who already have everything... except this.
