TRAGIC NEGLIGENCE: Lost of our Nicole to a routine cleaning!…read more Do not trust Fette Veterinary with your beloved pets. We brought our healthy, 4-pound Maltese, Nicole, here for a routine teeth cleaning. Because of their severe medical errors, lack of critical awareness, and delays, our baby is dead. * The Severe Injury: During the procedure, Alyssa Nelson and Hannah Edgar tore Nicole's trachea during intubation, causing air to leak under her skin, making her body swell and her lungs collapse. * The Dismissal: When we picked her up, she was gasping for air with a strange "hiccup" sound. We immediately took her back inside. Nelson dismissed my concerns, minimized the issue as "just fluid in the lungs," gave a Lasix shot, and sent us away. * Critical Delays: As sat in their parking lot and her breathing worsened, we rushed back demanding she be seen by Alyssa Fette. Alyssa Fette put her on oxygen but left us waiting for hours in the lobby with zero updates, severely delaying life-saving emergency care. * The Fatal Outcome: 3 hours later they finally sent us to an emergency hospital in Cleveland, claiming they would cover the bill. The emergency team discovered a massive 2-inch tear in her trachea near her heart. After a CT scan and two agonizing surgeries, her lungs failed completely, and we had to make the devastating decision to euthanize her. * All from a routine dental procedure that both Nelson and Alyssa Fette should have both prevented. You can see from these numbers from their reports about this dental cleaning compared to the past there was an issue and they should have aborted the cleaning and addressed the tear they caused. * Josh Fette stated several times on the day of the surgery they would take care of all expenses at the hospital. When we contacted him numerous times for payment because he did not pay the hospital, he would never answer our emails or text. Instead, some insurance guy call and we had to file the claim and relive the whole ordeal. To this day it still has not been paid by Fette or their insurance.

Ebert Animal Hospital - Izzy was also neutered there and did super well.

I…read morehave watched him do everything he can to care for it despite living on a very limited fixed income. What has saddened me is seeing how anxious he becomes when seeking veterinary care. He worries constantly about costs because he simply cannot afford unexpected expenses. In situations like that, kindness, patience, and clear communication matter tremendously. Unfortunately, from what I have witnessed and from conversations with him after his visits, he often left feeling dismissed rather than supported. Asking about costs should not make someone feel uncomfortable or ashamed. For a senior citizen trying his best to care for a beloved pet, a little compassion can make all the difference. Veterinary medicine is expensive, and I understand that practices must charge for their services. My concern is not the cost itself, but the way vulnerable clients are treated when they are frightened, anxious, and trying to understand their options. I hope this feedback is received in the spirit intended: as a reminder that empathy and respect are every bit as important as medical care. P.S. Afterward, I was able to locate several organizations in the area that specifically assist pet owners on limited incomes. It left me wondering why struggling clients aren't routinely provided with information about available community resources.
