Since this house was an older house, he filled me in on all the latest that I should be aware of. Just recently, Ken came out to service the tankless water heater and handle some other plumbing issues. We discussed installing a filtration system (especially after Helene), which we will move forward and install. He makes it very easy to discuss plumbing technologies as they are much different from just a few years ago. I recommend Ken and Carolina Plumbing Contractor.

Tommy of Alpine Heating and Cooling is absolutely fantastic. He installed a brand new heat pump and…read moreinterior coil in my home for cheaper then anywhere else in town, and the brand of unit he is installing is higher quality and more energy efficient then similar quotes I got from other companies. Not only is he affordable, but extremely knowledgeable. He was able to come to my home and do an audit on my system and identify the problem immediately. The problem, I might add, was that another company in town cheaped out on my old unit and not only installed a used unit, but one that is severely undersized. I am so thankful to have an honest affordable local company come in and fix the issues. Most importantly, the turnaround time by Alpine Heating and Cooling was extremely quick. I informed him the day I was ready to proceed, the next day the new unit and parts were ordered, and now a day after that my unit is being installed. That is a two day turnaround time, which is remarkable, especially as it is getting to be the hottest part of the summer and all HVAC workers are swamped with calls. I highly recommend contacting Alpine Heating and Cooling for any of your heating or cooling needs.

I needed some work done in my kitchen, and on a fairly strange timeline…read more I had purchased a new faucet for my kitchen sink and after asking friends for advice, the majority suggested that I hire someone suited for the job, rather than trying my hand at the task with the assistance of Youtube Videos. I came across Troy and his business The Right Hammer on Facebook and messaged to see if he'd be willing to take on the task, and on my less than optimal schedule. He responded quickly, and said that not only was he up for the task, but would be willing to work with my schedule and would be happy to come over on a Sunday morning without charging extra for working on a weekend. Upon his prompt arrival, Troy was pleasant and professional. He made short work of the faucet replacement, as well as taking on another task that I threw at him as a curve ball... removing an undersink water heater/dispenser. He didn't bat an eye, and all of the work was completed within an hour. I cannot say enough nice things about Troy and The Right Hammer. I am looking forward to using his services for a wide variety of tasks around my home that I have no clue on how to complete myself!

Junaluska Electrical…read more Junaluska Electrical was contracted by our builder to do the complete electrical for our new home. From day one, Dan was wonderful to have on site. He was professional, did what he promised when he promised, and did it well. Our builder turned out to be very unscrupulous and caused many wasted hours for all of our subs, but Dan didn't complain and he continued to do excellent work. When the Builder unexpectedly pulled out and departed our unfinished job, never to return, Dan was professional enough to continue to finish the project with us. Dan was also much more aware of codes than the builder, and he was the one who got us to completion - again having to take on tasks that were not his responsibility. We are very grateful that Junaluska Electrical was contracted to do our job, and that Dan was assigned to us. I do not know what we would have done without him! Beware of this company that will rip you off…read more If you want the absolute bare minimum job done, without a shred of a reasonable good faith, this is the company for you. I do not recommend you use this company that will fleece you for an inch (literally). We used this company for moving our RV 3 miles, and paid the full amount someone would pay to take this a lot longer distance. The driver did the very minimum and took our RV from point A to point B without issue. The issue arose when he let us know it would be $150 extra to back the RV onto 2 leveling blocks. He did not let us know ahead of time that it would cost us $300 to drive 3 miles and then roll forward 1-2 inches onto these leveling blocks, so we were taken aback. The driver had also taken our blocks home which we needed to level our RV (accidentally), but was unable to return them the next day. He was unwilling to make a fair decision to roll our RV forward 1-2 inches onto these blocks, so he deferred to the "boss man" as he called it. I had called the office to see if they would be reasonable and they returned my call and let me know that they would be able to cut me a deal to have the driver roll the RV forward 1-2 inches for only $100. I let them know that was how outrageous that was due to how much I had already paid and how little they had to do the previous day. I denied their ridiculous offer and asked the driver simply return the blocks instead. It is not a good idea to hire this company if your goal if you would like to avoid getting ripped off by them.
