I would warn anyone from buying a car from This place or their other company Friendly auto sales on…read moreGalbraith rd. I purchased a 1999 Ford Expedition for $1400 in June of 2013. They told me the overdrive was out but no other "major issues". I needed a car to get back and forth to work so that wasn't a big deal. It was sold to me "as is" so no warranty, which I also understood. 2 days after taking the car home I went out to go to work in the morning and it wouldn't start. I was upset but I'm a mechanic for Mercedes Benz and I knew it was the starter by the way it sounded. So my girlfriend drove me to work I got the starter for $150, my gf picked me up and I came home put the starter on and everything was good. Four days later I'm driving to work and long story short the transmission goes all the way out on me on the highway. I get it towed back to my shop and find out the transmission is all the way gone. It needed to be replaced or rebuilt. I knew it had transmission problems so I didn't call or complain or anything, I bought a rebuilt transmission for $600 and put it in myself at our dealership. Once again everything was fine. I drove the car for three days and it died on me on the highway after the engine started making some really loud noises. Got the car towed back to my shop and found one of the connecting rods had broken and busted through the oil pan. Basically the engine blew up. I called the place and got the answering machine, called again a few days later after not getting a call back and left a message with someone and still no call back. But a few days later they did take another payment out of my account. I called back furious and left another message telling them to not take any more money out of my account and to come up to my dealership and tow the truck out of there that I was done with it. I didn't hear anything back from them for another week until I called and got someone and asked them to have the owner, Shawn, to call me back. I never heard anything. Once again a week later I get paid, check my account and they took ANOTHER payment out of my account. By now I'm furious so I call them back and leave a message telling them to stop taking money out of my account. Finally I start getting text messages from someone I thought was the owner asking them if there is anything we can work out to make things right, but no. Whomever was texting me that day did nothing to offer any kind of resolution to the situation. Just basically 'yeah, we screwed you and now you have to deal with it'. So now here I am with a truck that I seen advertised for $1400, I paid $1800 through this lt, plus $750 in parts, and now I get to paid to have it towed to the scrap yard for $500 after driving it a total of 9 days. So if you feel like being totally ripped off please buy a car from Klein Motor Company on Vine street in Hartwell, they will cheat you right and then make you feel like it was all your fault. They buy cars from auction and just throw them on their lot without doing anything at all to them.
