The bridal suite was not only perfect for the bridal party to get ready but also to allow the blushing bride some alone time before the ceremony. The weather cooperated but the event staff were prepared with tents if the ceremony needed to be moved at the last minute. The bathrooms were even stocked with emergency essentials should they be needed. A few of the guests had mobility challenges and the rustic walkways and loose gravel did present a bit of a challenge for some, but otherwise zero complaints.

We looked at several other venues and chose Bentwood because of the serene beauty of the grounds. The reception area has beautiful wood tables and a stage with a lit dance floor. Stage area set up for DJ or Band with lights strung throughout. There is a wonderful walkway down to a pond area with an alter. There are 4 rooms that come with the weekend package. 1 with bunkbeds, 3 with queen size beds. The grooms area was set up with a pool table, dart board and refrigerator to keep the boys occupied while the girls got ready in a beautiful bridal room. Other venues we looked at gave you a couple of hours before and after the event to set up, have the ceremony and then clean up. We liked the fact that with the weekend package we could set up on friday, enjoy saturday and clean up Sunday. They have several packages to cover almost any need. We have been to several weddings this year and I have to say that Bentwood was by far the best venue.

Right from the start, Mel very clearly grasped our daughter's theme and "vision," and she was also extremely mindful of the budget as she helped us navigate all the details. Her shared spreadsheets tracked every detail and she provided so many helpful recommendations and services that we would have never known about or thought of. We were very confident going into the wedding day, knowing Mel had coordinated final contracts and deliverables, arrival and departure times, and any special needs on the day of with all of our vendors. On the day of, Mel and Emily worked their tails off to make everything gorgeous and seamless so that we could focus on enjoying the day and the guests. Every time a vendor arrived, we simply pointed them to Mel, and that was that. Our bar staff stiffed us at the end of the night, disappearing during the send-off without cleaning glasses off tables.
