Couldn't have asked for a better experience with ZWay. We had changing headcount & time requests and they were very accommodating. Super friendly driver (Kyle) as well as staff at both the top and bottom of the float to help out my group of 16. It was 100+ degrees and the bus had AC and a huge speaker we could connect to for the ride from Austin. Will certainly be booking again with ZWay, they make it as seamless as possible to have an awesome day on the river! read more

So we booked our trip almost two years ago and Covid changed our plans. However the people at ZWay couldn't have been more accommodating. They allowed us to push our trip out a couple of times so we could get from Maryland back out to Texas and it was worth the wait. Shane was amazing as our driver and honestly the 3 hour float was a perfect Mother's Day present for me. The four of us had a great time. Having done other tubing adventures I can say this was in our top list for sure. Worth the money for a relaxing day on the water! read more

I went a week ago for a bachelor party. At first I was scared this trip wouldn't turn out well because I was quoted one price for a pick up and then given another. They honored the much lower price and our pick up was on time. We booked a private pick up from our Airbnb all the way on lake Travis which saved us time and money because we didn't have to commute into Austin. Loriel was our driver, we had our own shuttle bus and she was really fun, easy going and awesome. She gave us some advice about the river and didn't even complain when we were about an hour later than expected on pick up due to....some diving to try to find a missing iPhone RIP. Side note, water proof pouches DO NOT float! I have gone with other tubing companies in Austin and there are only two differences. The other company charged more for "guides" to float with you. The guides were helpful at some points when we got stuck but other than that Both were fun, same river, Same everything. Would def float with them again. read more

I never spent $80 to float the river before, but this was an awesome experience with the group I went with. The guys setup a bachelor party for one of our friends and floating the river was one of our things to do while in Austin. It's perfect for the amount of people in our group as we had 13. Everything went smoothly and breezy. We arrived at the meet up location which was given in an email. You can get stuff at the local grocery store that the bus is parked outside of. They offered things to rent and purchase such as a cooler, dry box, and some more. The bus had AC and Bluetooth for music. We are able to drink aboard! Pop those cans when you're ready. It was a 45 minute ride down to the starting point of the San Marcos River. We could pick out whichever float they had available. Grab the one with a cup holder and make sure there are no leaks. They had a station with compressed air so you could re-air up the floats if needed. I added some more just to make it a bit firmer. Once everyone was situated we walked down to the river and jumped in. The float was about 3 1/2 to 4 hours long. Once we reached the end, you'll see Don's flag and they text you around the time for pick up of which bus arrived. Ride back to our meetup was a bit more than 45 minutes due to traffic, but it was worth it! The water was cold and it gets deep and shallow real quick. Remember to sit on top of the float as dragging your feet/legs along the bottom or walking isn't fun. Reminder for things to bring: - WATER! stay hydrated friends - Cooler for water and other drinks - Sunscreen (Don't get burn't) - Music (Bump some music for the time) - Hat (Some shade as it can be really hot) read more

First off, Mary and Michael are top notch. They are professional, organized, and direct while doing everything they can to ensure guests have the best time possible. From the moment you are picked up to the moment you are dropped off, everything is taken care of. You don't have to think of anything, where to go, when to stop, what to bring, they guide you through it all. You just follow them, get in the river, and enjoy yourself. They even provide coolers and ice (literally all you bring is yourself and your drinks) The price is worth every penny and maintains the quality of this higher-end experience. I would recommend this tour to anyone from individuals who want to get out for the day, to parties, work outings, etc. NOTE: This activity consists of literally hundreds of very very very drunk people on the river among other things, take note before bringing your children. read more

Me and my group were visiting Austin for a bachelor party. We signed up for a floating trip through Austin Tubing Trips and would absolutely do it again. We paid extra for the private transportation since we were staying about 40 min away from downtown by Lake Travis. Kody was our host/guide for the day and was very communicative the morning of, prompt, and just an all around great guy. His energy got us pumped for the trip and made the experience what it was. I'd ask for him again in the future! read more

Made a reservation that I subsequently had to cancel due to a friend's medical issue. The reservation was only for 3 of us so we didn't want to leave her alone while on our trip. Canceled several days before the reservation. Called and texted multiple times about getting a refund. Spoke to several people who said they'd "get back to me." Finally got a text almost 2 weeks later saying they wouldn't refund anything. Meanwhile the confirmation email says they will refund 50% if done before 48hrs prior. Extremely poor customer service and shady business practice. Be wary before booking or dealing with this company read more

Great company and such a fun experience!!! Thanks to Mary and Michael!!!! Party in the woods. Bus was clean and nice. People were awesome. Highly recommend read more

Michael is the best tour guide!!!! It's a really fun activity but there are no signs on the river letting you know how far you are from the end. The river is pretty dirty and brown but it's fun!!! A must try when you visit austin. Better to just bring a foldable cooler and then rent a cooler tube than renting the entire set up imo read more

Great tubing trip! This was our first time in Austin and on a Texas river float. They did not disappoint!! Charter bus was brand new, clean and the AC felt amazing. Drop off spot was easy (don't forget to grab a black tube, with a bottom, for your cooler!). Exit spot was a bit hectic but they had enough staff to help if you just ask. We bought the cooler package (included soft cooler, ice and extra tube)...our booze was pretty warm halfway through the float, so might be worth it to just bring your own. It was a blast!! TOTALLY WORTH IT!! read more

Great time tubing on the river and our guide was great. Truly saved one of our drunk members when they lost their tube. Only thing I recommend is bringing some rope of your own to tie your tubes together. All they give you is string thinner than yarn that rips easily. read more

Such a great experience! The team was so nice and attentive. They made sure all of us were there before they left for the river and returned. Highly recommend Austin Tubing Trips. read more

This place is great. Excellent customer service (had to reschedule the entire event). Not to mention trying to plan and execute an event where 99% of the attendees are drunk IS the equivalent of herding cats. Our driver Dave was punctual and super laid back. It was a very successful birthday celebration. Super relaxing and fun. 11/10 would recommend this place. read more

My friends and I planned a trip with Austin Tubing Trips and they were fantastic to work with! I had a couple people that either kept changing their mind about whether or not they wanted to go, so I really appreciate the company for working with me and my group to accommodate us once my friends (finally!) decided to commit, ha. Once we arrived, the check-in process was easy and they quickly provided us with the cooler we rented from them in advance. The total public tour was big enough that we took a giant charter bus, which was perfect because it had a bathroom on it & they included trash bags spaced out along the chairs as well to help keep it clean. Part of our group was coming from San Antonio, so they were going to meet us at the launch point & the tour was really helpful in providing guidance for where they should meet us. We were able to meet up with them down the way & had a blast the rest of the time. Once the float was over, they got us back to Austin safely too. One thing I would say is, if you're taking the Public option, bring some rope or twine or something to tie everyone's tubes together! We forgot to bring some & thought it would be provided, but we ended up using random bits we found as we went or just held on! (Not sure if that applies to Private option or not) Overall, we had a blast & would definitely recommend, as we'll probably be going again! read more

Went with a group of 17 people and would have to say Austin Tubing Trips was extremely accommodating and did everything they could to ensure we had the best trip. They moved our time slightly day of in order to ensure we were floating during the ideal weather conditions, and luckily it was perfect, missing the rain just slightly. We also weren't able to buy beer before and they picked it up for us and had it ready when we got to the river. Would definitely recommend for large groups. read more

Mary was fantastic! The driver was not good. Ran a red light and almost crushed a car. Overall value was solid

What an amazing experience! We received a message the day before as a reminder and heads up that we need to purchase alcohol before our pick up. Kyle showed up on time to pick up myself and my friends for our day at the River and was fantastic the whole ride. Gave us all the info we needed and was right there when we ended our trip. Was a fanatic trip would highly recommend and do again. read more

We had such a great day on our wine tour with Richard! A group of 8 ladies that he put up with for the day! He was extremely accommodating and really wanted to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. He tolerated our jokes, laughs and terrible singing while in the van. He helped pack our coolers, offered to take as many pictures as we wanted and we couldn't have asked for more! Definitely go with Richard! read more

Wow I had such a great time! Thanks to Dustan and his team. Dustan dropped us off and took us home and was very friendly and informative. The ride back was fun and we met cool people on the bus and played music and sang together. Also the tubs were great and we also rented a ice chest tube. I recommend getting that and rope to tie all tubes together. read more

Gil is seriously the best driver and tubing guide that we could have gotten! He's informative, courteous, and here for YOU! He gave us the option to be our own DJs but did phenomenal with his musical choice! He was a safe driver and was waiting for us when we reached the end of the river! If you aren't going with Austin Tubing trips and riding with Gil then you are doing it wrong! read more

We used Austin Tubing trips for a bachelorette party and I highly recommend them! They took care of transporting us to and from Austin, the tubes, the coolers/ice, etc. Our driver Beau was awesome and very helpful in getting our friends' phone back when she lost it in the river (and was later recovered.) Another big plus... they were able to offer a private tour for our group of 12 and we were allowed to drink in the van. Also would have been able to switch to a beer or wine tour had weather been bad. Definitely recommend this company! read more

I highly recommend this company if you are looking to have an easy, relaxing float around the river. Loriel was our driver and she was really fun! I love that the company was able to pick us up from our AirBnb and provided the cooler and ice for us to use. I can't say enough good things about Austin Tubing Trips and RICHARD! He was there ready to pick us up right on time and just made the entire trip so wonderful! Dustin is the man. I'd recommend this anytime. Here for a bachelor party and had a great time. Picked us up, gave us great advice. Thanks!

Went tubing on my bachelor party - absolutely a must-do. It was the perfect amount of time and great to be in the water on a hot day. Our driver Dustin is the man!! The pick up and drop off from our AirBnb is incredibly clutch, and Dustin crushed it with the tunes. The cooler tubes held a surprising amount of beer which definitely came in handy. read more

Zwaytours is where it's at when it comes to doing a river float in Austin. We got the 15-18 seater bus and had the amazing Richard as our driver! Had a great time tubing this past Saturday for a friends birthday. Coming from California, this was definitely the highlight of our trip to Austin. They offered water boxes, so our phones and other personal belongs didn't get wet. We kept the party flowing with extra coolers provided by Austin Tubing. They know how to party and plan a trip! Thank you Austin Tubing for a memorable trip. read more

Tubing experience was awesome! Nice charter bus with delivering to and from site. However, retrieving tubes and set up on the water was very confusing. Suggest you bring rope to connect tubes if with a large party. Be mindful of travel time down the river and where to exit at the end (also very confusing). We were first timers but I would highly recommend. read more

Didn't think I would have to leave a review but strictly to warn others to avoid our unfortunate situation, I am left no choice. Having tried another tubing service I had a baseline of expectations. As much as I thought I wanted a fancier tour bus rather than an old school bus, the vibe was very sterile (maybe good for families). The tour guide told us multiple times to leave our valuables on the bus and he would responsible for returning them to us if we missed the bus back. On my previous float, our tour guide joined the group on the float (we didn't all stick together but had a few opportunities to reorganize to ensure everyone was relatively together). This tour guide didn't join and had no way of contacting anyone. Of around 35-40 people on the bus, I had a group of 6, a relatively significant portion of the overall group. Fast forward to 5:34 (4 minutes after we were told to be back to the bus), the tour guide is there exclusively to let us know that the bus left without us and didn't have the curtesy to wait even 5 minutes for our group (i'm not exaggerating) . Taking this a step further, he didn't do anything with our valuables, so the majority of us were left without a phone, wallet, and most of us didn't even have a shirt or shoes as it was all on the bus. Thankfully two of us had our phones so we walked around the parking lot until we could find service to call ubers (the drivers weren't very happy) and also had to call the bus driver and have him wait at the drop off for about 45 minutes so we could get our stuff (we tipped him for his time). I tried reaching out to the company the following week and was met with empty promises of a follow-up and have not heard back. My suggestion: Don't use these guys, either find another service or if you don't want to risk being left stranded, just pack a few ubers - it is cheaper than taking a bus. Everyone from Austin Tubing Trips was friendly and I personally had no problem with anyone, however the lack of professionalism and basic consideration for a missing group on the bus way very, very lame and ended up costing us an extra $20-30 each to get home and recover our stuff. read more

We went as a group of 10 for as part of a bachelorette party. The day-of experience was easily 5-Stars. Beau was our driver on the day of our trip --- he was amazing! He was super friendly, punctual, and extremely helpful with loading our coolers. He gave us full control of the music (and volume of the music) during the drive. After we got to the river, he helped us carry the coolers to the river and pack them into tubes. He even took our shoes back to the van so we didn't have to keep track of them while we floated. When we got to the end of our float, he was ready for us with our shoes and helped us carry everything back to the van. I had some difficulty / frustration getting ahold of the company (via email, phone call, and text message) prior to our trip to make updates / confirm our reservation which brings down my overall rating. read more
