This office was wonderful and from her initial consultation to her follow up Dr. Jamison's office was wonderful. The staff was all very nice and helped to calm both a nervous 7 year old and an anxious dad and while I don't remember everyone's names I do want to give thanks to Cindy. She was extremely nice and really helped my little one feel comfortable. The day of surgery went well and Dr. Jamsion even called that evening to check on her healing. Very nice and even though they're not currently in my insurance network I would absolutely consider them again.

Originally it was not a big deal to drive over there but the last two times I went, it took over an hour to go 8.1 miles due to traffic. In one case, I had to reschedule before I was over 15 minutes late even though I had called to let them know. Was able to reschedule and got in the same day. I've been a patient since sometime this summer. My wife found this practice and moved over sometime around the first of the year. Reason she moved is that we are both Seniors and have Medicare Advantage Plans with Dental Benefits. For some reason, we could never get them to bill our Insurance Company. Granted the coverage was not that much but a couple of thousand is a couple of thousand that does not come out of my pocket. Her Dentist is Dr. Allison Kelleher and she loves her and the great service she gets. I have Dr. Andy Pernell and he was the founder of this Service. When I came over, I already knew that I had some major issues related to resorption of tissue under the gums. On the initial examination, Dr. Pernell also that I had a cavity under a bridge under my upper molars. Made an appointment and came back and the bridge was removed, the cavity was filled, and a temporary bridge installed. Went back last week and got the permanent bridge installed. This was the first cavity I've had in over 10 years. I have an appointment in January to address the resorbtion issues on the lower molars. That said he referred me to Dr. Getz at North State Perio and he has examined me and we are schedules for planning and deep cleaning in December.

We also talked about my night grinding & an in office retainer was built. I had the crown done & I am so thrilled with the easy painless process. This is such a stark difference from the dentist I saw in Maryland. I had never had real dental work done before and at my prior dentist they identified I needed a crown. It was such a traumatizing experience that I was terrified when Summit advised I needed another one done. I also was given a plastic mold at the prior dentist that I had to put in hot water and try to fit myself - It never worked and it made me gag so I just stopped using it. Such a drastic difference between these offices- thank you Summit. My dentist fears are now gone.

From my very first appointment, communication from the front office has been extremely frustrating…read more I was never informed that I was considered out-of-network, and because I was very pleased with the dentist himself and the dental team, I went out of my way to obtain secondary insurance so I could continue my treatment. Unfortunately, the front desk experience has consistently been disappointing. Even after receiving treatment plans, there seemed to be very little understanding of how my insurance benefits applied. I was given a treatment plan stating that my next appointment would cost a little over $300. I was unable to make that appointment, which I am now thankful for, because when I called two days later to reschedule, I was suddenly told that previous staff had not been knowledgeable about my insurance and that the correct amount would actually be over $700. Anyone would be frustrated to find out that they had been given incorrect information, especially after making decisions based on that information. What was even more disappointing was essentially being told that it was my responsibility to understand my own insurance. While I understand that patients should know their benefits, I also expect a dental office to provide accurate information when discussing treatment costs and insurance coverage. When I expressed my frustration and explained that, because of this experience, I would not be returning, the response I received was, "I hope someone can assist you better." I responded that it shouldn't be difficult, considering I was simply asking for accurate information regarding my treatment and financial responsibility. At that point, the conversation became even more unprofessional. I was reminded that the call was being recorded, in a way that felt more like a threat than an effort to resolve the situation. I was also told how much the office had supposedly done to help me, as though expressing a legitimate concern about being given incorrect financial information was somehow disrespectful or unreasonable. That interaction completely confirmed my decision not to return. Patients should be able to express frustration and ask questions about their treatment and finances without feeling threatened, guilted, or talked down to. The dental team itself has been wonderful, and I have nothing negative to say about the dentist or the quality of care I received. Unfortunately, great clinical care doesn't make up for poor communication, inaccurate financial information, and an unprofessional front-office experience. I ultimately left feeling like my time, money, and insurance benefits had been wasted. I would rather find a practice where I can receive great dental care without feeling like the people handling my account are playing with my pockets.

I wish I could give a zero to 1/2 star. I made an appointment to see a dentist here to help me…read moredetermine if the pain in my lower right jaw was a bad back tooth or if it was TMJ/TMD. I was given Ron Davidson and told he was their TMJ "specialist". I came into this office with pre existing conditions/details about my dental history that were crucially important in assessing an overall treatment plan. He over zealously spoke of one of his "inventions" the designed to treat TMJ/TMD issues such as pain and sleep. I explained that I was just out of Invisalign treatment on my top teeth and he said his "invention/retainer" would also take care of keeping my top front teeth aligned while the bone healed around them and they became more stable. I had spent $4000 on Invisalign. For the next several months I came into this office no less than 14 times with problems due to his "retainer/invention". During this time the top tooth that has the Invisalign treatment went back to its original position rendering my $4000 spent worthless. Davidson had to make a second retainer because he never could get the first one to fit correctly, even after multiple grinding sessions of both the retainer and my teeth, which are now hollowed out and sharp to the touch of my tongue. I clearly told him that the most important thing going on in my mouth was my front teeth as they pertain to my Invisalign treatment but that was not on his mind. He seemed obsessed with the idea that he would be able to put an additional notch in his belt in favor of his invention so he could get his pat on the back. I stopped going after, 14 visits, and grinding my teeth, he s=could not get my bite right. on my last visit, I came in and told him he needed to adjust my bite because on one side of my mouth only 1 front tooth was touching the opposing lower tooth and it was actually making any TMJ I did have, WORSE! He brushed me off and continued on with his inner dialogue about how wonderful he is and how he loves to solve PUZZLES! He also gave me pricing on not 2 (as requested) but 5 upper front crowns and 1 implant crown at (excluding temporary crowns and other "potential" costs) @ $24,000. Outrageous! In the beginning of this awful experience, Davidson said he would reimburse me for the retainer ($1100-very expensive for piece of plastic that never fit). I requested reimbursement weeks ago and I have heard nothing back from anyone in the practice). I went back to the orthodontist and my periodontist to confirm what I thought about his "treatment plan". He had ruined my Invisalign result, left my front teeth unstable and hurting, and ruined my bite. My periodontist sent me to a new dentist who had to fix my bite so I could even close my mouth. I don't leave reviews often, but will if I think I can help someone else out by providing inside information about the character of the people in this dental practice. Since Davidson is a principal/owner, it is only logical that he would tell his employees how to respond and deal with problems that inevitably arise when dealing with patients. I don't blame any of his employees, but I put the blame squarely on Davidson and his self aggrandizing behavior. Reimburse me the money you owe me Davidson...
