The hygienist I liked is no longer there. The feeling I had was that the three dentists I met don't care about the patients. They all took my questions as an insult and got defensive and talked down to me. Like I've never had my teeth cleaned before! The place looks nice, and the receptionists are great but once you're in the chair, the whole experience is not great. I had one hygienist lightly bring up politics (assuming I would agree) while she was cleaning and wanted to scream. Its frustrating that they give out cookies and starbucks gift cards as though they are oblivious that sugar causes cavities. Seems like the Dentists are here for a racket.

I have been a patient there for over 30 years. Dr Jason Greyslak is a Dentist's Dentist just like Dr. Long. It is vital that any dentist be a professional with a deep sense of perfection. His knowledge and experience run deep. I had some teeth out and he called me later at home to make sure I was ok. The staff at the Corvallis Dental Group is full-on professional. Patients do not get out of there with missed pieces of plaque during a cleaning. The front desk makes an effort to remember your name and they are experts on insurance. The dental hygienists are the best of the best. One thing that makes the visits enjoyable is that everyone there has a great sense of humor. Prior to coming to Oregon long ago I had several really bad experiences with dishonest dentists. It was so bad I had to go to the local dental association. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate the raw talent available at the Corvallis Dental Group. The only thing I don't like about writing this review is that now lots of people will want to go there and I'll have issues getting an appointment.

This has helped me understand the risks and benefits much better than I've experienced elsewhere. When it comes to an actual procedure, I am kept informed as to what's going on and what to expect next. There are no surprises...and when it comes to dental work, that's a good thing! So far, I've gone through an extraction and am in the process of getting an implant completed. No complaints at all! I've found that the assistants to be engaging, personable and competent (Alicia and Vanessa). In addition, Lisa has taken over my teeth cleaning and has done an excellent work! Sandy has done an outstanding job of keeping me informed of costs that will have to be paid out of pocket. This has helped me to better plan and utilize my Flexible Spending Account (FSA). Gone are the days of using a crystal ball or gazing at chicken's intestines to understand projected dental costs... And the folks who've helped at the front desk or on the phone (Sarah, Kong (sp?), Casey (sp?) have been efficient, personable and very competent. From a planning standpoint, I get email reminders of appointments and have found Dr. Swensen's availability to be much improved over my last provider.
