I went to the open house of the Austin Opera, something I've been missing since moving from Houston. I got to talk to people that work there and meeting the founders and architects that created this place. They had a lot of activities for kids as Austin is known for being kid and pet friendly. They also had performers every hour to give us a short peek of what's coming. Everyone was so welcoming and helpful, I was frustrated that the tickets for their first show ever "ofrenda" were sold out and Daniel (staff member) told me that they opened up more tickets the night before. I bought my bestie and myself tickets right away, I'm excited to enjoy the premiere in October.
Their ticket system also does not allow you to select specific seating as the seat chart is not uploaded to their system yet, I was assured that this will come soon. So excited to expand the cultural scene in Austin! read more
