If you want to pay in advance with no refunds, don't want a recital for dance or actual play for…read moretheater arts, and have your child be taught how to vogue instead of hip hop then this is the place for you. They even have a stage and seating for an audience that was not utilized. I don't know if we got the economy version classes or this is just how they operate.

I found out that they moved their location recently into a space that actually is more theater-like inside. I've seen a production from TexArt before a few years back in their old location in a strip mall and the although that show was good, the seats in the old location was kinda uncomfortable. The current theater felt newer and also sold snacks to eat like chips, popcorn, soda, water, and various candies and treats. They didn't sell alcohol (probably bc they didn't have a liquor license) but had beer and wine that they can pour you a glass with a donation to the theater. Overall the experience was really good. The production set, choreography, acting, and flow of the whole show was well put together. I was afraid that I would fall asleep because we went to see the show right after dinner but it was very good and exciting throughout. The only thing that I didn't like about this new location is that it had limited parking so I would recommend to get there earlier. We showed up about 10 min before the show started and got one of the last parking spaces. The previous location was in a strip mall so there was plenty of parking!

I signed up one month and within a few weeks I was sitting in AMAZING seats at the Rita Rudner/Brad…read moreGarrett comedy show. I paid $75 to see Rita in Vegas a few years back! It was a great show. Since then I have been to a few AA Baseball games. I have responded too slowly to catch a few other great shows (if you don't reply almost immediately you will most likely miss the opportunity to grab the tickets). I have seen a couple pop back up the night before (but by then I have already made plans). They also repost sometimes with discounts (two big shows popped up after they were listed as "sold old"...the second time they were offered as a special deal for members at $10 each, when online the tickets were going for $45-85). I agree that there are a lot of local events (a couple college and even high school shows) but it is a fun way to get out of the house. If you come into this as a way to do something different just to get out together, do it. BUT BE FAST! I check every morning before work, at lunch and at night. I also set myself up on email alerts. It sounds like a lot but my hubby and I turn it into a game and have a blast. Better then sitting at home on a Thursday night!

There's 2 reasons they dont show you the list of events before you sign up - The one they tell you, that its a privacy issue for their ticket providers. But also 2, the fact that they have crap. Otherwise they would at least have a list of past shows you could look at (to get an idea of what to expect). But they don't even offer that before sign up. Luckily I didnt have to get the Groupon to find this out, as a friend did and told me....

One of our friends surprised us with a bee tour because he knows how much my wife loves bees. The…read morestaff was very accommodating to our schedules. It's not recommended to go on the tour when it's raining, and when it's too hot or cold outside. We had to reschedule twice due to weather but we finally made it out there and it was a lot of fun learning about bees, their importance to the world and seeing them up close. We all enjoyed the hands on experience being in the bee hits offered us! Standing in the middle of bees flying around, not angrily, and see how they work together was breathtaking. Becky, one of the staff members, scheduled our tour and led our honey taste testing. She was the sweetest lady and took the time to learn all of our names. Becky's husband, Jesus, led our bee tour and answered all of our many questions. He was very kind, knowledgeable and patient when addressing our questions. If you are looking for a fun experience you need to come out here and do the tour!!!

After all, this place is out in the country and, although not too far off of Hwy 71, it is secluded and kind of remote (probably seems more remote than it actually is). It was, however, a delightful surprise! The shop had a wide variety of bee-related items from tools and clothing for serious bee keepers to honeys and honey-sweetened candies to bee-themed household goods. So cute!! We were treated to a honey tasting, which (like wines) started with the lighter colored and flavored honey (a local honey) up to the darker honeys, then we veered off and were sampling cinnamon honey (think Red Hots + honey), coffee and chocolate flavored, and (my favorite) chili-infused honey. Cannot wait to try this drizzled over some soft cheese. I don't know how I got out with only the few items I purchased (photos below), so I'll have to go back. Many of the items would make great gifts (I'm thinking of those coffee mugs: Let it Bee; Bee Happy; and my favorite: Give Bees a Chance. Tours are also offered but must be scheduled in advance, a down side of spur-of-the-moment exploring. I'll be sure to do that next time, when I'm back to purchase gifts.
