Theater itself was very intimate and allowed for a good seat anywhere in the house. I was in the second row and absolutely loved the intimacy with the cast. The show start time was set for 7:30 however didn't actually start until about 7:40. The cast was amazing and I believed all of their characters. The stage props were also cleverly made to transport you to different rooms of the house. Such clever use of the space! I was engaged until the end of the show and surprised how fast the time went. Highly recommend seeing before it closes on Oct 11.

Imagine your 15 year old daughter saying they found a job, making good money, scantily clothed and provocatively dancing for adults. Sign me up, right?!? But hey, for the "arts," let's encourage it. *Parents beware.* There is a serious lack of judgement by this organization and some of the performance had to be bordering on criminal. The performances captured the vulnerability and loneliness at the heart of the show. The themes of connection, mental health, and the need to be seen feel incredibly relevant. It's not always an easy watch, but it's meaningful and worth it. I felt every character and it truly had me breaking into tears. Getting tickets at "will call" was easy. The Libby had lots of seating. Tables and chairs, and small lounge couches. There was a young women singing on a small stage with a guitar. Played a few songs that we all knew. And charmed us with her own original song. Beautiful voice. There is a small bar in the back. I did get a small cocktail and a box of popcorn. The auditorium room had wonderful seats. It looks like row K is the best seat because they have like a small bar like table in front of you. The chairs don't have cupholders. So you end up having to hold everything or place on the floor. No one obstruct your view from the stage. Every seat is a good seat. Parking is easy. I paid $15.00 and found parking easily. I was also a little early for the show. I just started following ZACH on IG to see up coming shows. If you want to see this show, they did say they are extending to May. I hope you come see the show and support the local theater.

I went in, knowing nothing about the production and gained lots of knowledge as to the events behind it. On September 11, 2001, Gander International Airport in Newfoundland, Canada took in 38 commercial flights numbering almost 7000 passengers in response to the 911 bombings & the US closing its airspace. The a tiny town of Gander welcomed them with open arms and fed them, provided housing and clothes over the course of 4 days. It's a heartwarming story and leaves hope for the best of humanity and connection. The cast and protection were great. Adding to that is Celtic bluegrass music and an infectious enthusiasm. I highly recommend it. Running through September 27th. 1 hour 40 minute production, no intermission.

Today I got the opportunity to visit the Austin Independent School District (AISD) performing arts…read morecenter for the first time. The building is huge and aesthetically pleasing. There is also a large parking garage nearby (free parking). AISD student art work is prominently displayed throughout the building. I was at the performing arts center for a Alvin Alley dance workshop. This dance group travels throughout the world featuring modern dance, ballet and Afro beat movements. During middle and high school years we got the opportunity to see the Alvin Alley dancers every year. Their performance was elegant, rhymic and exquisitely executed. I remember being in awe of their toned bodies and breathtaking athletic and graceful moves. I remember also thinking how beautiful their ballet moves. Today's Rhythm and Movement workshop was engaging, authentic and very enjoyable. I loved that the workshop was diverse - ages 6 to 70+ years old, from all walks of life and different ethnicities. The theater complex is conveniently situated at the edge of the Mueller development. Parking is covered, close, convenient, and FREE. Productions here are reasonably priced with tickets typically in the $10-15 per person range. Concessions are often run by boosters; while limited in their offerings, water is not $6 a bottle like it is at UT productions. The space is modern and attractive. In terms of comfort, I found the Black Box theater to be the less welcoming of the two. Seats are difficult to access in the risers, and I do not have mobility issues. The seats themselves are comfortable however. In sharp contrast, the main theater is very accommodating and comfortable. If accessibility is it all an issue I would check to see which theater your production is in before you buy the tickets. Highly recommended.
