The Matt Wilson Band is a piano-driven band with Matt at the helm as pianist, lead singer, showman, and entertainer. Matt and his agent Greg Williams were a pleasure to work with from the onset - friendly, professional, and responsive. The contract was straightforward and Matt and his band obliged our white dinner jacket attire by attending a jacket fitting and came to the venue suited up and ready to dazzle our guests. They provided us with an extensive song list prior to the wedding and even learned/performed several of our favorite songs. My husband and I learned a Viennese Waltz routine for our first dance. We sent Matt an edited version of the song and danced our first dance to his gorgeous rendition of "Can't Help Falling In Love." Matt's talent for classic and contemporary music belongs on much bigger stages and we are grateful he shared his talent with us. Our guests danced the night away and could not have been more complimentary about the music. My cousin loved the band so much he hired them for his own wedding a few weeks later. They transitioned through the night seamlessly and went above and beyond to make the night perfect.

They played a huge variety of artists/songs, but some of my faves were Michael Jackson songs, Beastie Boys, Stevie Wonder, Outkast, and Black Eyed Peas. Each and every girl was convinced that the real Cinderella had popped in to share time with them. It was an amazing experience for my daughter and one none of those nine girls will forget.

The theatre shares their space connected to a bingo hall (which was 100% SMOKING indoors) and was all about the size of a mini grocery store inside. The waiting area was much like a Pinterest DIY project (but I loved it). The staff friendly. The theatre area - not so great. A variety of mismatched, folding metal chairs to sit on; no air circulation (cue the cigarette smoke from next door); and no stage. What can I really expect though for two tickets that costed only $15? The setting: Just a pile of dirt, shovels, enough shoes to keep the homeless satisfied for the next five years.... AND THE PERFORMERS GIVING IT THEIR ALL. Each cast member had a particular "something" about them that I really enjoyed. Noted especially in the main three: the Irish girl, the Native American, and the Black female. I'm unsure from the program hand-out who is who... but these were the ones that I took to the most. While the seating was a bit uncomfy, the atmosphere hot and smoky, and not knowing what the heck was going on for the first 20 minutes of the show (at least), I'd still come for another performance.

If you want to have a truly genuine experience of how your soul might have danced within your skin by taking a trip to a much earlier time, all you have to do is close your eyes and prick up your ears... this suspension of disbelief comes with the greatest of ease. And coming from an athiest you should "believe" me when I say this. :) This is music you might think you have heard, but you likely have not unless you've already been to a performance of the Texas Early Music Project.
