My husband and I got married two years ago and were on the same page for just about everything EXCEPT money. While we had good spending/saving habits (no debt, lived on less than we made). However, things like tracking the budget and deciding what money items were important to our household.... were a mess. I found Julia and Art of Finance from their PBS web series on YouTube, Two Cents and was thrilled to see her vivacious personality and willingness to cut through the BS wasn't just an act for the camera. My husband and I made the financial commitment to sign up for Cash Flow Coaching with Julia and Kara, and while the initial stick price left me questioning, I can say it's the best money we've spent since being married. Art of Finance gave my husband and I a shared language and sense of ownership over our budget and money. They helped to prompt questions and discussions on what we wanted OUR lifestyle and money goals to be as a newly married couple. Because of cashflow coaching, my husband (the nerdy spreadsheets guy) learned to let go of full control of our finances and we were able to work together as a better as a result. And me (the fun person who hates spreadsheets) has learned to take an ownership piece in our finances and use a budgeting software that makes us both feel informed on our money decisions. Regardless of if you're single, newly married, or have been married for years, I would HIGHLY recommend joining up with Art of Finance and making the commitment to get your budget right and stop stressing about your money. P.S. Shout out to Kara who's a tech wiz and fixed all my budget software problems. Even if we hadn't gotten any coaching, she would have been worth the cost of the course herself.

Furthermore, Philip gave us guidance that helped us get life insurance in place, which is key to our financial security. If you're feeling lost or stuck, they can help!

Dimov Tax - George Dimov, C.P.A.

They know exactly what to say to earn your trust and rank at the top of Texas CPA searches. Unfortunately, the actual service completely fell apart after they took our money. The Process & Financials: We paid an initial pre-engagement consultation fee, followed by an upfront payment of $1,285. Our tax situation was not overly complex, but it required accurate handling. The intake team responded around the clock until the engagement letter was signed. Once paid, we received two separate tax return drafts containing significant data-entry errors. Had we not caught these mistakes ourselves, they would have caused us to overpay our taxes by thousands of dollars. We paid for CPA-level expertise but received subpar data entry. Public Regulatory Records: We later discovered that on April 8, 2026, weeks before we hired this firm, the California Board of Accountancy filed a formal accusation against George Dimov and his firm (Case No. AC-2026-10). This is a matter of public record. Had this ongoing regulatory action been known or disclosed to us, we never would have signed on. Our experience mirrors the exact patterns openly discussed by other clients on Reddit and Yelp. The Disappearance: After the multiple alarming errors, we had zero trust in the firm's capabilities. We felt it was a real risk for them to prepare our taxes. We sent a formal refund demand directly to George Dimov using the exact email addresses listed on our engagement letter (and CC'ed ourselves to verify delivery). We also sent it to the team who had prepared our taxes. Following our refund request, the firm went completely silent. No response, no explanation, and no attempt to clarify why we are not entitled to a refund. Not a peep. That is not normal. To the Dimov Business Response Team: We have kept flawless records. We provided organized documents, full disclosures, and paid in full upfront. Do not attempt to reply to this review by claiming we are "not in your system," blaming a technical bug, spam, or mischaracterizing us or our tax profile. We have the signed engagement letter, the timestamps, the error-riddled drafts, the payment receipts, and the sent emails to back up every single word written here. We are hardworking Texans sharing our authentic, documented experience to help other consumers make informed decisions.

I started using Five Stone Tax Advisors to challenge my Austin property taxes (two properties, for…read moremany years) for quite a few years now, after a bruising meeting with the Travis County committee that meets with homeowners, a horrible experience. Most years, Five Stone has been successful in getting the appraised value of my home lowered - sometimes by a lot. I think the fee they charge for this is reasonable, and they seem to be efficient and very easy to deal with. Usually, we exchange only 1 or 2 messages per year. They donate a substantial portion of their profit (about a third) to local charities, and they invite their clients to choose from a list. They're a great business; highlky recommend.

They did zero work, literally zero, as soon as we signed up they literally told us to go find comparable property sales ourselves and sent a bill at the same time because they wouldn't do any work to try and protest for us thus they knew we would not find any savings. The entire reason we used them was to find the comparable and do the protest, which they didn't do either of. They should at least have a policy that if they have zero data they can use to make a case, you should not pay anything to them at all since they won't do anything. I would not use them again, I have contacted state representatives to suggest regulating this industry due to unethical companies like this one.
