The new owner took good care in grooming our daughter's 11 year old Havanese Bichon. The studio is decent and parking right infront. Price for complete care is reasonable. I know some grooming studio would like to get to know your pet's history and set up a profile for the new client- your pet. But Austin grooming is good if you just want a job well done but not necessarily wants to become a regular. read more

This is my absolute favourite place to get my dogs groomed. You can see upon entering how much the owners love the dogs. All the necessary treatments are done step by step to reduce the amount of stress the dogs get. Once everything is done, the owners give out adorable ribbons! As soon as the groomer saw my baby, she immediately started to coo at him. Could tell that all the employees there were big dog lovers. I'm very particular about the way I want my puppy to be cut because of a horrid haircut he had a few months back. She got every aspect that I asked for down to a T. When we came back, he was running around in the play pen area, which was very spacious and unlike some other groomers who put the dogs into little cages when they're finished with them. The shampoo that they had used on my baby was amazing and the scent lasted a few days. (which reminds me that I have to call to ask what it was they used on him.) They also gave him a hair bow as well as a beautiful new bell collar. Will be returning for sure. read more

DO NOT use this place! I wish someone had told me before I did. My puppy ended up at the emergency weekend vet with horrible clipper burns and an infection from unsterile clippers. The vet was in shock to see how badly his skin was. Two needles and two medications and a cone for at least 10 days. When I went to pick him up, he was in distress, and shaking. I went to hold him while she finished but had to stop her after he yelped in pain from the roughness on a tail knot. I hate to imagine how he was treated when I wasn't there. Fine for nail trimmings, but I will never go back and will ensure that I warn as many people as possible. FYI I called JJ on Friday after the appointment and she was dismissive as she was today when I called to tell her about the vet. If you do decide to go ahead, I wouldn't leave your pet there alone. My favourite place to take my dogs! The owners are so nice, and do an amazing job! My dogs always smell good and look great after their appointment. I also love how accommodating they are with appointments. Majority of the time, they're able to book my dogs in within a day or two. An added bonus are the cute little bows she makes! She'll attach a bow to your dog's collar, as a cute finishing touch. Prices are also fair (around $55-60 for a small dog). I've paid much more at other groomers, who do not provide as great of a service. Highly recommend Austin Dog Grooming! You can tell that the owners really love what they do, and prioritize giving great service. read more

We have been taking our small dog here (around 10 lbs) for years now. The owners are very loving and we have no doubt that our dog is treated with the utmost love and care. Not only that, the grooming is always well done and we are never disappointed with the cut. They always give a bow tie or a bandana at the end of the groom so they look super cute for a photo op. The price is very reasonable for the job that is done. I highly recommending bringing your dog here! They only accept small dogs however. read more

I had my Yorkie cross, Zelda, groomed here today. As soon as we walked in I noticed how clean the building was and how happy the dogs playing in the open play-area looked. The two groomers seemed to really work as a team and I felt totally comfortable leaving Zelda with them. When I came back Zelda looked absolutely adorable! Well my experience was horrible! The lady said on the phone that she could do scissor cut on my dog not shave so when i got there i also asked if she could use scissors to trim around the eyes and face because my dog is scared of the clipper noise.so she started brushing out my dog and just yanking the shit out of her hair! My dog was yelping and crying i said your hurting her,she feels pain!! And the lady says ya! Like whats ya mean!?Then she takes the clipper and starts cutting out the dirty part in the corner of the eye and i was like wtf! I told her to use scissors!This is why im here watching i said shes scared of it! then she says this dog is not suitable she wont sit still, you can leave! This is a small operation hidden away in an older strip mall. They only take small dogs and they do a fantastic job! They are warm and friendly my dog has had some of his best grooms here. I am so happy I found them and my anxious little guy is always calm and well behaved with them. read more
