I'd put it right up there with someone scratching their nails down a chalkboard (insert *chills*). Well, fear no more and enter The Dental Associates at Pitman. I love everything about this place! The front office staff is warm, friendly and always greets me with a smile. The dental hygienists and dentists are wonderful! Doesn't really matter who you get because they're all caring, experienced professionals with impressive credentials to boot, but I've got to shout out to my hygienist Cathy. She is personable, thorough and very gentle to the touch. I've also had the pleasure of meeting and consulting with two of four dentists on staff, Dr. Choi and Dr. MacFeeters. Both further exemplify the many qualities I look for in an exceptional dentist and dental office. The facility itself it also quite nice. It's clean with adequate waiting space, their equipment is state-of-the-art and they use cutting edge techniques to ensure you're getting the best care and treatment possible. After one of my remaining wisdom teeth became infected after cracking and developing a hole (a week…read morebefore my appointment to get it extracted, of course), I found myself in the kind of pain that keeps you from sleeping or eating, and of course it's a Friday, and my regular dentist is closed. I would've given my 401k, maybe a kidney, to anyone who would yank this tooth. I'm calling anyone I can find to see if any office has Saturday hours to see if someone can help me. I have two kids, and two C-sections were a walk in the park compared to the pain in this cursed tooth. Well, Cross Keys Dental was the only dentist with Saturday hours, and I somehow got a 9 AM appointment (through 1-800-DENTIST, which was amazing--highly recommend the service). I call to leave a message to ask if they can even consider extracting a wisdom tooth so I don't show up in vain. After a practically sleepless night, Dr. Kurudi himself calls at 7:30 Saturday morning to ask a few questions and promises to take a look and extract it that day if at all possible. I nearly cry with gratitude. I arrive trying not to show that I'm shaking with pain and exhaustion, can barely fill out the paperwork, but the staff was very nice. I at least got to watch the TV in the waiting room as I prayed silently for the tooth to stop throbbing. Long story short (too late, lol), I have long roots and they are too close to the nerve for anyone but an oral surgeon to do an extraction. Lucky me, right? But Dr. Kurudi and his staff were so nice, and tried so hard to help, when no one else would, and he even shaved the top of the tooth down so it wouldn't be as painful to bite down. They also referred me to two oral surgeons, one of whom I did see and she is also great, so I'm keeping her name for future wisdom tooth fun. I truly appreciated every effort they made for someone who wasn't even a patient, and I'd recommend this office to anyone needing a kind, compassionate dentist. When you have a fear of doctors, and especially if you're having issues, having someone understand and try to help is like a gift. It makes it so much easier to deal with going to the dentist. So if you're on the fence, reading this trying to decide where to go, call this office. They are rare in having Saturday hours (let's face it, teeth don't care if it's the weekend if something goes wrong) and they are truly compassionate. Absolutely 5 stars.

Two months ago, my wife made an appointment for herself at Corsi, after we newly moved into the…read morearea. At the time of scheduling, she had them verify that they took our insurance, Philadelphia Federation of Teachers through United Concordia. They said yes. She then asked them if they accepted children....yup, starting at 3 years old. "Same insurance?" Yup. So far, so good. About a week later, my wife found a different dentist that had something sooner, so she booked with them and called Corsi to see if *I* could take her appointment slot. (Again, we are new to the area, so we both need new dentists.) "Same insurance?" Again, "yup." Again, no problem. Fast forward to TODAY (6/22), when I get, AS MY FIRST COMMUNICATION FROM CORSI EVER, a text message asking me to confirm my appointment next week. I reply and confirm at 9am. At 12:08 pm, and I get a voicemail that I have been removed from their calendar, because they do not accept my insurance; an insurance that they THREE TIMES said they accepted, and that was verified with our provider. They also said to me, and I quote, "...we've been trying to call you, and you do not respond to any of our phone calls." Again, I had NEVER received a call from them, and the only thing I DID receive from them, a text to confirm, I responded to immediately, 3 hours before this phone call. I call the office, and get a woman that wasn't rude, but certainly wasn't pleasant, and she explains that whomever told us that they took our insurance was wrong, and to come in would be $99. Fair enough, but the accusation that I was deliberately ignoring their phone calls, and the fact that you dropped me a week away from my appointment, after telling me TWO MONTHS AGO that you took my insurance, just left a bad taste in my mouth. A mouth that will now have to wait another 2 months to find another dentist. We've heard rumors that dental offices are not keen on accepting clients with our, admittedly not great, dental insurance, and this interaction smacks of someone with better insurance asking for an appointment, and me and my less desirable insurance getting the bump. While it's certainly possible to incorrectly think you take a certain insurance, it's a lot harder to understand when that information is checked, and passes muster, THRICE. Also, saying "we've been trying to reach you," is fine, saying "you don't return our calls" is not. I have NEVER received a CALL from Corsi, let alone a voicemail asking me to call back. I even thought that maybe they were calling my WIFE, since she was the original appointment, but she said she has no calls or voicemails either.

I initially…read morechoose Dr Eslami because using nitrous was an option for procedures(an out of pocket cost I'm happy to pay) I drove over an hour to his office. During the initial visit he did everything himself-including X-rays and cleaning. He was incredibly kind, checking in every 30 seconds or so-or if he saw a flinch to say "You ok?" Throughout the entire process. Meanwhile, his assistants are in the room, understanding how uncomfortable I was saying things like "Good job." "Almost done" I'll be seeing him several more times and I know that each time I go, I'll be in good hands in a very non judgemental and compassionate environment. Also, it's a small intimate office as opposed to some of the "processing" dental facilities I've been to. Both times, I was taken in EARLY for a visit. Cannot recommend enough.
