ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!! Would never hire from them again! Our…read moreRV was infested with cockroaches, they do not clean their vehicles! Disgusted with the experience and lack of concern, solutions, or care given to the situation. We were unable to sleep due to cockroaches in our bed, we had them falling on us while trying to sleep. There were cockroaches crawling on us as we were driving, posing a safety huge risk. We spent our trip constantly killing cockroaches and have a tonne of photo evidence. The RV was completely inhabitable and unsanitary, Cruisin is taking absolutely zero responsibility and suggesting we brought a cockroach infestation into the RV within the first 6 hours of driving it away from the facility. Horrendous experience and customer service!

Bad Service, Cockroaches Infestation & Old Vehicles…read more Unfortunately, we had overall very bad experiences with Cruisin Motorhomes. We had to exchange our campervan twice. The first time due to a possible cockroach infestation, the second time due to an engine failure. However, the worst part was not the exchanges or damages themselves, but the extremely poor and unsympathetic on-road service, as well as the handling and compensation of the entire situation afterwards. Overall, we incurred expenses and additional costs of approximately 1,000 AUS$ due to the entire situation: - 2 days of downtime including travel time etc. (460 AUS$) - 330 AUS$ fuel costs - 166 AUS$ hotel expenses - 52 AUS$ road tolls & drain cleaner After reviewing the entire situation, we were offered compensation for half a day (115 AUS$). After several complaints and emails, the offered compensation was raised to two days (460 AUS$). Apart from the fact that it still only covers half of our additional costs, we have to deal with this several days after the rental period, and of course, we don't get back the missed vacation days. It should also be noted that all the vehicles we had were already quite old, making potential damages more likely. Overall, it is unfortunately clear that Cruisin Motorhomes prioritizes saving money at every turn rather than providing good service to its customers. Therefore, I would strongly advise against renting here and instead opt for other providers, even if it is more expensive elsewhere! Best regards, Kai

I was offered $150 refund NOT to publish this! (And sent a 'legal' document to stay silent)…read more Isn't that bribery? Hmmmm...... We expected a 'budget option' but not this bad....... The Smell Our van smelt so bad when we picked it up - like a discarded, wet, mildewy, moldy old mattress and got worse the first few days. After airing out the van and buying multiple closet camels, we discovered the source was the old water reservoir in the sink so once we drained that the smell finally disappeared. The fridge was also a smelly, moldy mess. Not only was it dirty but smelt of stale, rotten eggs and didn't work. We took out the freezer drawer so at least some cool air would flow into the fridge itself but not only did this make everything wet, it also continued to smell. Upon looking at the freezer drawer we also discovered the underside was covered in black mold. The Cockroaches On the first night we discovered the floor and cabinets covered in 3mm - 10mm cockroaches which scurried about the cabin and all over our food and belongings. After spraying everything with insect repellant they reduced, but not eliminated. The Leaks In heavy rain - not uncommon in Queensland as you may know and especially in April/May, water not only dripped from each of the upper windows that were closed, but dripped down covering shelves and belongings in water. Copious tissues were used to mop up what we could. Water was also leaking directly from the power sockets - not over them, OUT of them. We were also greeted with a puddle each in the front foot wells after overnight rain. The Exterior (Electrified when plugged in!) We affectionately named the van rusty in honour of the rust along every metal seam, every hinge and even after the barely legible number plate. The tailgate squeaked loudly on opening and the reversing mirror was brokeb, unable to be secured in the correct position and 100% useless for the intended safety measures. The exterior was generally dinted cracked and discoloured, with aged painted and decals. Every time we got into the van and accidentally touched the exposed metal on the door we got a nice, big zap - the whole van was electrified when plugged into power. OUCH! The back window, and only opening window to the main sleeping compartment of the van has seen its poor little handle glued on multiple times - the window is smeared with glue and silicone and when we went to try and open this window for some fresh air the handle almost came off in our hands. We ended up having to open this sliding window from the outside - great when it started raining in the night and we needed to exit our electrified van. The Interior Old, semi sticky adhesive marks throughout and the curtains not only smelled bad (I'm sensing a theme) but were tattered, torn and falling off the tracks constantly. Old tissues were shoved in bulkhead holes to stop rattles as well as for other possible leaks or pests and we were unsure if they had been used..... ewe. The passenger door armrest was so smashed and cracked that it pinched my skin on contact and resulted in bleeding elbow scrapes and a pretty uncomfortable ride for 10 days. We tried covering it up but the plastic was pretty sharp and would poke through. The steering column was caked with greasy filth, and dirt in and around most nooks and crannies. The front headliner fabric was stained with watermarks and more mildew was present on top of the passenger and driver side roofing. A huge watermark above the driver and even the seatbelts were covered in mould, marks and generally filthy. You can't smell these pictures thank goodness.

I was met with a representative who initially said that they'd do the audit later. I insisted she does the return audit now and she complied with some pushback. I was trying not to get into a situation of what I am now facing. At the end, she explicitly told me there were no additional fees to be expected.  I get an email an hour later with 3 images stating my car does not comply with their 17C clause (that the vehicle is not clean or tidy) and will be charging me $99 Aud. The photos consists of napkins on the seats and one plastic bag on the floor.  If I had been told that the vehicle was not returned to a satisfactory condition, I would have done what was necessary to remedy the situation.  I relied on their agent's word and feel that she lied/misled me about no additional fees. I had a rental earlier w Bargain Car Rental in Melbourne, I returned it in a similar condition, they audited the car on the spot w no pushback and had no complaints.

When I pointed this out to manager (he is white and wears shorts to work) he made racial slurs against me. So did his attending clerks. Not only did he cancel my booking and refused to rent me a car he did not even drop me back to airport but made me take a taxi costing AUD 30 to Brisbane airport. He said I could sit there till I die and he would not rent me a car.
