Terrible Birth Experience-I was so hopeful and wanting to love this place but leaving with birth…read moretrauma and regret. After attending their birth classes and baby classes as a first time mom I was feeling confident even though things with Dr were not great (felt rushed and not listened or cared for). I was told by my Dr their staff would talk to me about birth preferences, wishes, and concerns because they may not be the one delivering the baby.... That never happened During my labor the following happened Staff was not supportive, encouraging, helpful- it was cold the interactions and they couldn't care less The Dr on call and nurses were audibly sighing and not actively speaking or assisting me during the labor There was no explanation on what and why things were being done to me - for example if not in an emergency situation why was a catheter used on me and not give me the chance/option to use a bed pan? Especially as I was unmedicated?? Why was I forced on my back when it was the one position that brought me blinding pain? No care - after being stitched up and in emotional distress not one staff member seemed to care. It was very much baby is here and move on. Which made my 2 days in hospital that much more difficult. The positive - the lactation team is beyond helpful and very caring

Now known as Froedtert South. I was there for tests this past week…read more I noticed in the lobby/waiting area all the TVs were set to CNN. The entire time I was there it was non-stop story after story bashing President Trump. I wonder who it is that makes the choice of which channel those TVs are set to? I'd like to give them a piece of my mind, shame on them for trying to influence people when they are ill... If I had a choice I'd find a channel showing something that is not upsetting/offensive to 50% of the patients & visitors of the hospital.

After seeing the X-rays and the orientation of the hardware, I didn't trust it would hold. I shared these concerns with Dr. Kohli, who assured me everything was fine. On October 24th -- less than three months into recovery -- Dr. Kohli told me to stop using the brace. I followed his instruction, but scheduled a second opinion the next day at Orthopedic Associates of Wisconsin (highly recommend). The appointment was set for October 29th. I never made it to this appointment. His "repair" failed violently just two days after the follow up with Aurora orthopedics, leaving me unable to walk. The bone had snapped, just below the hardware. Exactly where I had expressed my concern. I had to undergo another surgery on November 4th and start recovery all over again. Because I lost so much time (and thousands of dollars) with Aurora, I lost my health insurance and had to stop physical therapy for my 2nd recovery -- nearly a year later -- because I can't afford it. I filed a complaint with Aurora, (who shockingly, are allowed to investigate themselves) and found themselves clear of any wrongdoing. I appealed this decision, and was told that "less than 3 months in a brace" is standard -- but everyone I've spoken to who had similar injuries wore theirs for MUCH longer. If Aurora had admitted they weren't qualified to handle this injury, maybe I'd be working again. Maybe I'd have my life back. I'm sharing this to warn others -- because it seems that's all I can do.

Aurora... ever wanted a medical practice that gives zero fxxxks? Primary care doc doesn't remember…read moreyour name? Lose 75# and your PCP can't acknowledge because he doesn't remember you? New doctor appoints are scarce. It is wonderful (not) when you schedule months in advance only to be rescheduled by them for another couple of months because the doctor will be out of office. Sad when you explain you have not been to see this kind of doctor for too many years and the soonest they could get you in was 4 months ( thanks to Covid and moving to this state two years ago). Then you receive a letter that your doctor is going to be out of office on that date... kind enough to reschedule in 2.5 months. They do not give a rats bottom. California may be a lot of things, however, their medical groups actually care for their patients. If you have a choice of medical providers, run fast and far from Aurora. It is not just one provider, it is the mentality of Aurora. If you love being a number, constant nickel and dime invoices- Aurora is your place. AURORA is everything that is wrong with for profit healthcare. That, or I have the worst luck with the doctors that I have seen. But all of them? So if you are stuck with Aurora - avoid the MT pleasant location and Dr. Shah (doesn't care) or Dr. Hemphill (unless you don't mind 4-6 months with a reschedule so add 2 more).
