The shop is cute, and as someone really into crystals as well, just a wee bit dangerous with all the gorgeous specimens they have! It was a very quick process for the picture, and the shop was very quiet which gives you space to calm yourself and reflect on the intention you're setting. If this seems confusing, I wanted to find out what color I was at this time in my life, and what I was working towards. That very clearly came out in my result! And the reading was very spot on. I came here with a friend as I knew she is very into astrology and the like so I got us both aura photos + readings here as a graduation gift for her. Parking in Chinatown can definitely be tricky; there is $5 all day parking across the street and further down a bit in a parking garage which is nice if you're going to spend a few hours in summer and don't want your car to be incredibly hot when you return. There are some metered parkings within a few blocks but you'll have to walk over for these. I recommend making an appointment in advance (although they do take walk-ins) and they will send you an e-mail with their exact shop locations and directions inside which was helpful for me. We did both our aura readings with Danny who was very kind and polite and we felt took his time with us. Danny's reading of our auras felt SO insanely spot on it was actually mind boggling. My friend and I kept looking at each other and nodding when he would describe one of us because it was always super correct. The photo itself is a very short process and I do recommend trying to calm down and focus on your life at the moment to get a more accurate read. I was a little anxious/excited and didn't do this and while I do have goals I am working toward, I did not get the manifestation bubbles in my aura which I think I may have gotten if I was looking more inward? I know the price tag of $50 is a bit much but I think it's a fun experience that you absolutely wouldn't be doing often and could be a fun gift or treat for yourself. read more

This was a fun experience. They took the time after the photo to explain what the different colors and shapes mean, and offer you the chance to ask questions, which is great. Taking a star off because I arrived right on time for my appointment but wasn't let inside for 15 minutes. I'd have let myself inside if the door hadn't been deadbolted shut, and if there hadn't been a sign asking me to wait outside until I was let in. That put me in a funky mood and I didn't look too happy in my photo, which for $55 is a little disappointing. Good experience otherwise. read more

The practitioner really phoned it in. We got two readings ($120? It was a gift so we don't know exactly the cost but that's what the website says.) The process was to go inside the PhotoBooth and get your photo taken by the machine and then the colors are read to tell you your aura and it's meaning. We were in there a total of Maybe 15 minutes. They did the "reading" for both of us at once and kinda just seemed bored by the process. They ended by saying that the aura was temporary and that it can change at any time so it didn't really mean anything. If it was at the state fair and cost $5 each I'd say it's worth a go, but at the cost and for no real info it felt gimmicky and non-genuine. And since the info we got wasn't very clear, even the photo we get to take home wasn't very special. Honestly I'd suggest spending your money elsewhere and if you want a reading I'm sure there are Loads more mediums who would spend the time with you and make you feel special and worth your time. read more

I have tried aura photography several times first in New York at Magic Jewelry and Radiant Human. I have really wanted to try Auragami based off of their stellar reviews which come to find out is just a bunch of their friends giving them 5 stars (I have a friend of a friend that filled me in on this). I usually go to a couple places here in LA but was intrigued by the reviews. The place is nice, the photo is fine but it feels more like for show and less like healing and knowledge, if that makes any sense. I would not recommend, if any of that is important to you. Make a reservation online for an appointment and make sure to arrive 5 min early as they direct! It's a very quick process where they let you in (you or your group only) and explain the process. They have you sit on a bench and put the sensors on your lap and place one hand on each. Take the photo and keep your hand on the sensors and then it's developed! They walk this through your reading and give you your Polaroid in a cute folder that includes details of the what they different colors mean. Service from email correspondence to in person was great, I love that you still wear a face mask and it's one party at a time, and the vibes were immaculate! Such a fun experience! Make sure to visit Auragami's website on Wednesday mornings when the appointments for the following weeks open up. There are lots of offerings but we went with the $50/pp aura photography session. At the time we went, Covid protocols were still in place. So, we stood outside and waited for our appointment time. When we were greeted, we went into the area to take the aura photo. To take the photo, you place your hands on an aura reader, hold still, and wait for your photo. Highly recommend booking an appointment with Auragami! The booking is $55 and I was able to get photographed with my little dog. Our photo showed that our aura colors together are: Red, Pink and Violet. Fivel and I were happy and the studio place is clean, organized, neat and has a good vibe inside. The studio is right in front of the Bruce Lee statue! And there is a small parking lot in front of Auragami and lots of street parking! Once your done with the photo shoot! This place is rad! 10/10 I definitely recommend. I forgot the young lady's name but she was super sweet to my mom and I. I loved the esthetic and the whole design and vibe. Her plants are beautiful too! If you're into auras and new age stuff I recommend you set an appt days if not weeks in advance since they book up quite quickly. There's a parking lot I've always used and leave my car when I go to Chinatown. It's on College near Hill street behind the Shell station. You can easily walk from there to Auragami. I forget the price but I've never had an issue with the attendant or the parking lot. It's always the same guy. As it was the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, the area wasn't too crowded. Perfect. Their shop is right next to the Bruce Lee statue, so definitely not hard to missed. For $40, you get your aura photograph and a reading. For further information, you can check back on the site. I'm sad that I didn't catch the name of the lady that took our photo and aura reading as she was great. If you are a curious, spiritual, into polaroid photography, auras, colors, or readings individual -- you won't be sorry you checked Auragami out. I've always wanted to get my aura photographed but never had the right time to go in for an appointment. One weekend, while I was at The Row with a friend we both decided it would be fun to do before she left California. We were a walk-in appointment -- they had a session in about an hour so we wandered the shops until then. They have seating areas in the front if you wanted to chill there... read a book, pick an angel card word from a jar, etc. We decided to do one together -- we went into the room where we sat down facing the camera, we each had our own hand sensor which captured both of our auras and we both had different colors that surrounded our bodies in the polaroid. When she began to explain what our colors meant, she was literally talking to us as if she knew us and how we were based off our colors, but they were so exact to how we were. I'm not sure if this special reading was more spot on in how we were as individuals, but it was spot on in terms of how we were as individuals when we were together (if that makes sense). *side note: we were old co-workers whose desks were right next to each other and definitely understood each other and got along even though we had different personalities -- all of this was brought up by the woman who did our reading and it was crazy how spot on she was -- I was legit kind of freaking out, but in a really good way. I really want to go back and get my own aura read and to see if the colors might have changed. I would say timing for this is difficult for weekdays unless you're in the area since they do close kind of early -- be sure to make an appointment ahead of time so you don't wind up traveling and possibly not have a time slot when you walk-in. It was a Friday night in downtown Long Beach, I got a text earlier that day from a friend about a flyer block party with tons of vendor's. What caught my eye the most was someone doing energy reading by a magical camera :) Got to the place in the evening, it was a pack pop shop with ton of hipsters. It was free beer just for visiting and you know what I was thinking at this point lol. Got the beer and was looking around for Auragami.LA banners but couldn't find it. Felt a little disappointed at this time cause maybe they left. Some girl by the line looked at me and ask who I was looking for, I told her and she smile and pointed across the street. Got to the booth and gave my name. I waited to be seen, curiosity got the best of me at this time, so I took a glimpse a couple times inside the tent while someone else was in there. Felt like a little kid doing that haha. Finally the booth lady said I was up, I enter wondering who this wizard girl was. To my surprise she was way younger then me, looked around her 27 or 28 with a nice smile. She introduced herself as Belle, told me to relax and look at the camera. Flash flash and my picture was ready. EMOTIONAL, PHYSICAL, MENTAL energy is what described my aura. There's more to it but somethings are best left unsaid. You'll have to experience it yourself to know what I mean... All in all it was a magical experience, you get a card with your picture in the end explaining the colors that's around you. While waiting, we walked around to get some food and it was fun outdoor "street fair" with plenty of food, drinks or accessories around . The photographer 'Belle' and the receptionist lady were very friendly & fun. It took about less than a minute to prep taking picture with hand sensor . That camera codes the energy readings into frequencies that correspond with certain colors and translates them onto Polaroid photograph to give us visual color of our energy. After finished taking picture, Belle (the photographer) called each of us to give us the picture and explained what was the meaning of our color. been seeing a lot of videos about this place on tik tok and i've been waiting to book an appointment for awhile now, so i'm so glad i was able to finally get in! my boyfriend and i booked back to back appointments so that we could get our own photos done and the person who helped us (i forgot to catch her name) read what our auras meant and she was pretty much spot on describing how we perceive ourselves personally and externally. it's interesting to see the colors and what each color means! i had asked the woman who helped us if people usually come multiple times to get this done, and she said yes which was really cool to hear. since we got ours done today, it's kind of like our end of the year photos and if we plan to do it again we can always compare how much we've changed over time. the experience was really short but sweet. i highly recommend, and to also stop by the other shops that are nearby! read more
