Went on a Tuesday afternoon and it was quite empty with only 2-3 tables. I ordered to-go via their…read morekiosk and got my order in less than ten minutes. I like using a kiosk so I didn't have to interact with the staff and could take my time browsing at options. The printed menu isn't as detailed about what each item entails. I ordered: soymilk pudding dessert, double layer milk custard with red bean, and black sesame paste. I was originally interested in the soymilk pudding dessert and the rice mochi w/ osmanthus jelly bowl but struggled figuring out their differences since the photos are blurry. When I looked through the kiosk the biggest difference is that the former has soymilk pudding, coconut milk, lotus seeds, and peach gum vs the latter has grass jelly. The rest of the components are basically the same. I think it's better to forego the grass jelly in order to get all the other more special ingredients. I'm glad I got the soymilk pudding dessert because it's my favorite of the three and what seals the deal for making me want to have it again. It contains: coconut milk, soymilk pudding, peach gum, lotus seeds, taro balls, mochi balls, osmanthus syrup, and osmanthus jelly. Overall, I like the combination of more unique ingredients and how everything was gently sweet and refreshing. They gave a big pouch of coconut milk. I only ended up adding half and was able to cover all the ingredients in the bowl. Although the star of the show is supposed to be the soymilk pudding, it was one of my least favorite components. I didn't like how raw the soymilk tasted, a bit gamey and green. Lotus seeds had slight bitterness to it too which could be avoided during the prep process. My favorite part is probably the osmanthus jelly and peach gum because of their texture and lightness on my palate. Improvements to this dish would be to have higher quality ingredients for each component which would help with a cleaner and more delicate taste. Double layer milk custard was alright. The custard part had faint almond extract flavor which makes me suspect whether they added flavoring or used almond tofu powder. At least it wasn't too sweet. The red bean topping was overly sweet, suspecting they used premade canned ones. I don't like how they used rectangular containers. Black sesame paste was too goopy for me. Even though it tasted strongly of black sesame, the flavor was quite one dimensional and not fragrant. They supposedly added peanut to it, but I don't taste it either. There were mochi balls added as toppings which I didn't expect. It was not additive.

Ordered delivery since there were so many deals and wish I didn't. The food and drinks were not…read moregood. I ordered the spaghetti with shrimp, mushrooms & bacon which came with a free assam milk tea ($16.25). The pasta dish portion was small and it literally had no flavor at all. I guess I shouldn't have expected an Asian restaurant to make good pasta. The shrimp and bacon were basically boiled and they basically added canned mushroom and used cream of mushrooms for the sauce. The drink was completely watered down. Then I ordered the fried chicken wings for $7.49. Can't go wrong there right? Nopes. It tasted terrible. 6 tiny pieces of wings which wasn't fried completely and had no flavor or seasoning whatsoever. Ordered the jasmine milk tea since there was a BOGO deal and didn't taste the jasmine whatsoever. All we tasted was the milk. Only giving 2 stars because my order came with a free order of seaweed french fries with pork floss and that was actually really good. It was flavorful and everything paired really well together. I have heard really good stuff about this place and it was a total letdown. Might go back and try the desserts in person and hope that it is a better experience. Just be warned about the food.

The good first: the pastries did taste fresh (not stale or frozen), and the chocolate éclair itself was genuinely tasty -- smooth filling, balanced sweetness, and the best item from my order. But the execution + value were disappointing, especially for the very high prices vs to prices and sizes for similar items in multiple nearby bakeries. Packaging / delivery issue: the two éclairs were put together in one box without being secured, so during transit the chocolate ganache rubbed off and smeared onto the mango éclair. For $7 per éclair, that's not acceptable -- they need to separate or secure them properly. Almond croissant: very small and had only a thin layer of almond filling with NO sliced/shaved almonds, which is not what you expect from a classic almond croissant! Raisin & custard croissant-many people think of as a "raisin + custard spiral", traditionally called Pain aux raisins (also known as an escargot). This one tasted fresh, but had no custard at all -- basically a raisin spiral without the cream component. Mango éclair: the filling was bright orange but tasted strongly acidic, extremely sour, more like citrus or an apricot/citrus gel than mango -- no real mango flavor or aroma. It didn't smell spoiled, but it was not what was expected based on the menu. Coffee: very mediocre, flavorless and arrived barely warm, definitely Do NOT recommend wasting money on that when even regular franchise coffee shops produce much better tasting coffee. Overall: freshness is there, but portion size, packaging for delivery, and flavor accuracy need improvement. I'd come back for the chocolate éclair only if they fix packaging, size vs price & quality control issues and will tighten up the recipes/descriptions.

The paninis were delicious, and the berries were fresh and sweet, but the açaí itself had clearly gone bad. It tasted fermented, like spoiled berries, and it was obvious that it was no longer fresh. Why do I travel? -To try new food. -To go somewhere I have never been before. -To see a world you cannot see from the air. -To see amazing sights. -To make new memories. Why does this matter at all to a Yelp review? Well, it does. Because thanks to my travels, restaurants and cafes like this one make me prepared and ready for what is to come. Two trips to Canada and a trip to Paris prepare you for what you could expect at a creperie that also happens to sell waffles and frozen yogurt, and a few other things, but mostly dessert. Vancouver prepped me for the waffles. Quebec and Montreal prepped me for the crepes. The US has prepped me for the frozen yogurt. All this prepped me well when I ordered a sweet crepe and got a superb symphony of sweet flavors. Fantastic and fresh banana and strawberries, a very fresh Nutella topping, and a binding agent in a crepe! Next time I will order a savory and a sweet to see how it all goes, and maybe a waffle or two for good measure. Of course this is all putting it back, back in the New York groove, which this carries so well. I will be back here, which thankfully requires little travel on my part.

The next day Friday, I went to T&D Bakery to give notice that what I had ordered was not delivered!!! I asked to speak with the bakery owner, who was not in that morning. I was promised a call back by a young woman a high end manicure. It's now Sunday and no one from T&D has called. Either no one is watching the back room bakery, or someone wanted to get rid of a 1/4 sponge cake that was sitting on the shelf somewhere with chocolate fillings, and hide it by passing it as what was ordered. A 90th Birthday one arrives once!!! Photos available to support the above review. Sad situation from T^D Bakery, truly sad......
