My husband and I are basically part of the furniture here at this point because we eat at Plum's several times a week, and honestly, we wouldn't have it any other way. Sandwiches that hit the spot, ice cream that feels like a hug, and specials that keep things exciting without ever getting too fancy for their boots. And can we talk about the *Plum's Team* for a second? They're the real MVPs. Always welcoming, always smiling, and somehow they remember exactly how you like your sandwich, your sides, and probably even your dog's name if you you told them. Is it gourmet? No. It's better. It's *hometown heart* on a plate, and we love every bite. Highly recommend giving them a visit -- just save us a seat!

We were in Savannah for my cousin's bachelor party, and there were eight of us. Every meal, a different cousin got to pick where we ate. One afternoon, someone suggested Oakie's because it was close to Tybee Beach. The only thing I had asked all weekend was, "Let's make it a sit-down restaurant." As we pulled into the parking lot, I immediately realized this was a deli--walk up to the counter, order your food, and either take it to go or grab one of the small café-style tables. My cousin walked in first, I followed behind him, and he turned around and looked at me. I just shook my head and said, "Nope... there's nowhere for eight of us to sit. Let's go somewhere else." While everyone debated where to go next, one of my cousins said, "We're wasting time. Let's just grab food here and eat wherever." Best. Decision. We. Made. The. Entire. Trip. I ordered the Turkey Supreme, and while we waited we watched a steady stream of locals and visitors coming in and out. Eventually we all found places to sit and just decided to eat there. Three of us took our first bite, looked at each other, and almost at the same time said, "We're coming back here for breakfast tomorrow before we head home." And that's exactly what we did. We ate here twice in less than 24 hours and couldn't stop talking about how incredible the food was. Fresh ingredients, perfectly made sandwiches, generous portions, and everything was packed with flavor. Sometimes the simplest places end up serving the best food. Go anywhere else, ask for light ice, and the cup is full. Also, just FYI, they don't have pup cups. I won't be going back and will definitely stick to my usual Tybean coffee.

The manager was more than just nice - she was warm, friendly, patient, and kind. She was BUSY. Phone calls, long line, deliveries, and she handled them with ease and without a drop of sweat. She was kind to every person she spoke to, including her staff, and I love that leadership. The women who brought out our food and snagged our dishes were also kind, funny, and they just knew how to best make that restaurant sing. People smiled at them because they've come here 100 times, and each time they were treated with kindness and familiarity. The FOOD. We got the Philly sandwich on a great gluten free bun and the Power Bowl with shrimp. Both were WONDERFUL! The Philly y'all. ALL DAY.
