Tong Sui is one of my favorite dessert spots in the South Bay! The coconut puddings are light,…read morerefreshing and bright. The service is usually quick as well! My birthday is August 4th, her bday is August 13 and I'm making one final public plea: please bring Coco Corn back for the month of August... or at least for our birthday weekend. We don't even need presents. We don't need cake. We just need Coco Corn. If this review reaches the right person, you have the opportunity to make two grown adults stop talking about this drink every single time we pass Tong Sui. Our friends are exhausted. Our families are concerned. I'm sure tong sui employees are weirded out how much we love this drink every time we ask. We have become known as "the crazy coco corn people" The one star isn't because the food or service is bad/it's simply to bring attention to this very serious matter in hopes the right person sees it. The moment Coco Corn becomes a permanent menu item (or at least makes a birthday comeback), I'll happily change this to five stars. Please... let this be the best birthday we can ever ask for.

We ended up going again the next day to try it. We ordered the Premium Strawberry Sulbing and the Mozzarella Injeolmi Toast. The bingsoo was delicious and not too sweet, loaded with fresh strawberries and a big cheesecake wedge. It's especially great for a hot summer day. The portion size was good to share between two people. The toast was yummy but does have a sweeter taste profile due to the honey drizzle on top. Overall a great experience! We'll definitely be coming back!

We got the red bean and the strawberry flavors - the portions were very large for a bay-area reasonable price of less than $15 item. It was my first visit and honestly, I was a bit disappointed; while there were lots of fresh fruits, I found the flavor bland and not sweet enough - which may be someone's jam? I wished it had more condensed milk to give it a more creamy flavor. The shaved ice was beautiful and fluffy - i'd say this is the main draw that may bring me back to try new flavors. There is plenty of seating inside for tables of two or even small groups. Parking can be difficult since many popular establishments are in the same strip mall so plan ahead for parking time.

My husband and I visited while waiting for a table at Flaming Ox, the restaurant next door. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted warmly by the cashier and we browsed around leisurely looking at all the different food items. This establishment is small, but there are so many different offerings: pineapple cakes (a Taiwanese staple), chili oil, tea, coffee, ice cream, and so much more. I'd really love to come back here and try out the more unique foods like their rice cakes and mung bean ice cream, but my husband and I got a notification that our table was ready so we went to eat our lunch. We returned after our meal and were greeted again. We looked at all the pineapple cakes again because my family enjoys them so much and my husband wanted to gift them a box for a Christmas present. All of the boxes are so beautifully designed and we finally settled on one. The cashier was very kind and talked to us about the iTaiwan membership and how to get the most benefits out of it. She also packaged the pineapple cakes in a cute bag for us for free! A very cozy story run by cute people. I will most definitely visit again.

That warm & cold combo is a total game changer! Don't believe me??? Try it!!! We went with a big group and tried a bit of everything: My Order: Cookies & Crème soft serve with Fruity Pebbles. My Sister: Matcha & Milk soft serve with Cocoa Pebbles. My Girl: Matcha & Milk combo with Custard filling and Graham Cracker sprinkles. We also grabbed a 5-pack of Taiyaki to try all the flavors. The Cookies & Crème and Custard were solid classics, and the Red Bean and Cheddar are must-tries if you want something different. But the standout was the Dubai Chocolate yummmmmy!!! seasonal flavor catch it while you can! Huge thanks to the crew for being patient with our order as some of us couldn't decide what they wanted as their toppings lol. This spot is a 10/10 for dessert in San Jose!

There is a park across the street so it would be a great option to eat there as well. There's three kiosk to order from which makes things more efficient when it's busy. I've been living Somisomi over the years and I love the taiyaki here the most. It's so crispy on the outside and super soft on the inside. I haven't been here in a while and saw that they have a dubai chocolate taiyaki flavor so I had to try it!! My absolute favorite is the nutella one you can't go wrong with it. I got 2 taiyaki, 1 nutella and 1 dubai chocolate to try. I wish that there was more nutella filling inside there wasn't that much this time :/ The dubai chocolate one was so disappointing. It was hard to eat and it was a lot to chew. The inside was a bit dry, I think there could be more of the pistachio creme inside. Wouldn't get the dubai chocolate taiyaki again since the other flavors are so much better.
