I am starting this review by saying that I am a physician in hospice and palliative medicine with…read moreover 11 years in urgent care, emergency medicine. I sent my spouse to see him for her debilitating left knee pain and the complaints I received from her was absolutely jaw dropping and ridiculous . I went into medicine for the passion... the passion to help people, not for the money. This dr Baker is the absolute opposite of a caring physician . Let's mention that my spouse has trauma experience and level one trauma er experience. She was seen by him for approximately 2 minutes and did a terrible physical exam of her knee, she even stated my knee exams were more thorough as well as her chiropractor .. Never even read her pmh, review of systems, absolutely nothing !!! He scrolled through her mri for approximately 5 seconds ... and not even vitals were taken of the patient !!!!! He said he would prescribe a topical cream !!! Didn't explain a thing and blew her off !!! There is a REASON WHY WE SENT HER TO AN ORTHO!! A specialist ... he's a heartless excuse for a physician... egotistical md .. the typical... we will seek second opinion since she truly can't hyperextend the knee and I suspect possible partial tear of acl and couldn't even see the posterior meniscus. Please please I beg every single patient that's reading this !!!!! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE than Florida orthopedic institute and further more avoid this so called MD!!!! Dr Baker remember that ... dr Baker AVOID AVOID AVOID AND NOT TO MENTION GOT PRESCRIBED INDOMETHACIN WITHOUT EVEN READING HER PMH OR DRUG ALLERGIES ... absolute nightmare of a doctor Avoid avoid avoid. It's embarrassing and he should be embarrassed to know that a chiropractor did ten times better job of examining her knee than he did ... again a doctor that shows no compassion or empathy is not a doctor that should be prescribing medicines or laying their hands on a patient.. what's bad for him and little does he know that I'm a physician and my spouse has over 18 years of medical experience ... tish tish... he'll here from us shortly

I want to remain active (only 46 years young) and am seeking the best way to do this. Dr. Baker has suggested a plan for the long term so that I can stay active and be conservative at the same time. He offers solutions as if he is the patient (money, time and health conscious), not as if he is the Doctor looking for the next surgery experience. Both of my grandmothers lived to be well into their 90's. With Dr. Baker's help, I will too and be acting like I'm in my 70's! Of course with an amazing doctor comes and amazing staff! Nina, Rhonda, Ashley, Amy, Keisha, Josie and Alishia are professional and fun, making each visit almost like a "Field Trip". Thanks for your care and professionalism. I look forward to our journey together!

However, I had my first knee replacement with Dr. Raterman in 2020, on my left knee. I had no issues, so when he told me back then, that my right knee which rarely bothered me, was worst than my left which was the one in excruciating pain, I decide to go with the one I had most pain with. Then in 2023, I chose him again, and suffer through his personality, thinking the results would be similar to my first surgery since it was same doctor. But this surgery he did it with the assistant of a robot. To improve my recovery I went just like in the first surgery to a rehab center, spent two weeks doing physical therapy and then did outpatient physical therapy as well. I kept complaining to physical therapy, and to doctor Raterman, and his very caring nurse practitioner Dr. Wicker, that something felt different and not in a good way. I was in pain, I couldn't sleep if I laid on my right side. I finished physical therapy and it's documented of my complaint. I went home and continued my exercises for months, but the pain just wouldn't go away. Because of Raterman's attitude I started seen is nurse practitioner which sent me 2 or 3 different times to get MRIs done, the mechanical equipment would come out fine. It showed swelling even a year and half later, even two years later. They gave me different medications and nothing helped. I started loosing strength in my knee, I couldn't even lead with that leg to go up a small flight of stairs. If I was getting off the side walk I had to make sure I did it in a way I didn't bend that knee because I would be in tears. I started developing like lumps under my skin, like cyst. So, I decided in April of 2025 to put up with Raterman again and go talk to him, since he did the surgery. Like always is demeanor is so bad. When I started to inform him of what I was feeling, immediately, he cut me off, and said to me and I qoute" So I guess you think I have some miracle WD-40 to spray it and fix your knee" he said this with a straight face. I told him it was not that; but it makes no sense, two years later I am worse than I was before surgery. I've complained for two years in horrible pain. His answer was, unless you think it's that bad that it's worth me going in and destroying all that I did. He took it personally, it was about what he did and not about my pain. Like I said before the MRIs, shows swelling all the time. The mechanical part is fine, but something got hurt in there and I am paying the price. Raterman just gave me a referral for physical therapy again. He said there is nothing he can do, in a way so cold and uncaring. It shows he doesn't care, and I am still in pain and looking for a second opinion. I have called my insurance and informed them as well, they will be investigating. I know something is wrong, I feel it everyday. If you need a surgery, please don't go here, safe yourself the grief. Raterman, only cares about his ego. Good luck.

The practice made multiple mistakes from scheduling surgery to writing a correct prescription for pain killers. It took 12 calls over 3 weeks to get enough pain killers to deal with the nerve damage. Wait times were often over an hour to see Dr. Raterman. He never once called to express any concern for the damage he caused. The practice is working over capacity and Dr Raterman has too much ego to take responsibility. I can't run (or do lots of things) anymore, but you should run if you're thinking if going here!

After several visits we found the Dr to be very attentive, extremely nice and helpful to me and my husband had a good rapport with the Nurse practitioner. It wasn't until later that we discovered that the Administration for the practice is completely the contrary from the medical staff. They are cold, in-personal, And with zero customer service. Specifically his Ofc Manager, Paul. This gentleman is rude and ruthless. The ofc constantly mixed up my visit bills with my husbands visit bills and acted annoyed when we questioned it. We still continued to visit the practice until recently when we received a $1,160. Bill from LabCorp. We have BlueCross Insurance and they only use Quest as in network. We had our Lab work done at the practice and they send it to LabCorp instead of Quest. When the doctor was informed by me of this, he was surprised and apologize and told me to send the bill that they would take care of it. 7 months later and they haven't. My insurance has been involved and LabCorp is aware of the situation and out of sympathy have not send us to collections, but his Ofc Manager refuses to deal with this bill and keeps giving us the run around. I have no way to contact Dr. Manalo. We have already found a different Primary Physician and are now dealing with our attorney so they can directly take care of this situation before our credit gets negatively impacted. Be aware of this practice. It's sad that Dr. Manalo has no idea what his patients are going through with their office staff..
