I've become a creature of habit when ordering due to my deep rooted love of the Wild Alaskan Salmon Bowl....total swoon Thank God for friend dates! We sat there enjoying our time and their space for multiple bourse. The peaceful energy absolutely kept us there longer than we anticipated. Everyone ordered something different and the sampling did not let me down. Now, I have ordered other things before I became a loyalist and they were all realllyyyy good...I just love that freakin salmon bowl lol. When getting a salad I often get the goat cheese and apple salad since I'm a fan of fruit on salad. They have a great selection of smoothies that are so fresh. When ordering you have the option to build your own bowl, salad, smoothies, etc. and it's echoed in their store set-up. This was my first time being in the physical space (and it certainly won't be my last). What a warm, calm, and inviting space to be found in the middle of downtown New Haven. It is located across the street from the Shubert, so there is easy garage parking and green parking. I love this place. The people are equally kind and helpful. Don't think twice, this is a must stop for a great quick serve meal.

The service was good but we got a Mediterranean melt (good), a spicy Thai chicken wrap (not spicy…read morein the least, had no flavor and the chicken was dry), and "homemade seasoned fries" (we were told it would take 10-15 minutes, which it did so it arrived about 10 minutes after the rest of our food, which is totally fine if you're making fresh fries; however, when the fries came out they were cold and had no seasoning, not even salt -- they were similar in shape to McDonald's fries but way worse). The place itself is kind of cute but the food is what really made me give this place a 2/5.

Came here because I needed to pick up something vegan for a work celebration with cake, and this…read morecame highly rated online! I walked in, briefly walked around the store area, which seemed plentiful with options, then went to the cafe area off to the side. There were many different baked goods on one side, with more cafeteria type food on the other side. I opted for a pistachio cupcake and a lemon cupcake. The person working quickly packaged it up for me and I was on my way. At around 4 pm on a weekday there were quite a few people there making it lively, but it wasn't a long wait. I tried the pistachio cupcake myself and texture was really great, nothing obvious it was vegan. My coworker had the lemon cupcake and loved it, said it was filled with lemon curd and a definite step up from Whole Foods vegan cupcakes. So I'll definitely be back here to grab as needed! In the future I'd love to try the meals.

In addition to being a very well stocked grocery store with plenty of organic fresh produce, a good selection of bulk nuts, beans, flour and such, and many boxed, canned and frozen offerings for the vegetarian and vegan diet, if you head to the second floor you'll find all of the herbs, vitamins, supplements and answers to your questions if you have them about such things. Head back downstairs and order a wonderful smoothie, sandwich, or something nutritious and delicious from the hot bar - all vegan or vegetarian. I love the tofu salad, the falafel, and the tempeh reuben - my favorite. After ordering turnaround and allow yourself to be tempted by one (two? of the various vegan and vegetarian desserts. I love the vegan blueberry lemon scones and the vegan Boston Cream Cake or cupcake. The smoothies are amazing! I enjoy the veggie juices, Brenda's Brew or Vulture. Atmosphere is very comfortable. Service is friendly, they do get busy so be patient - the food, drinks are worth the wait if there is one.
