On my initial visit last December, I had a great experience with a masseuse named Amy. Upon scheduling that appointment a few days ago, I was surprised that the same Amy was not who I expected. It was a different woman. When I asked her what happened to the other "Amy" she looked confused and told me she was the only one. Maybe her name was Emily, but seems like she's no longer available when looking through the list of available masseuses. If this is the case then the turnover rate is not good. Best to get contact info from your favorite masseuse in case they do leave the business. Anyhow, like I said, I feel like the issue never went away and I still have lingering shoulder blade pain. I did noticed that the masseuse did not use elbow technique which I find to be more effective technique to use. The knot is still in my back and is killing me as I'm writing up this review. I think I will try a different masseuse. From what I hear, Mia is probably the better one and has more 5 star reviews than anyone else. The reason I didn't choose her was because she had no availabilities on that same day I went so I chose the latter. I went with the 90 minute deep tissue with hot stone treatment. The additional $20 hot stones felt great but it just didn't address the pain in my back. I ended up flying back to CA and visited my go-to Thai massage and they were able to remove the knot causing the pain.

We showed up to find out that they only had one person available, and the other employee was off that day, so we could get two massages, but they would be one at time. The woman (Katie) was apologetic, but my friend ended up having to go somewhere else so we didn't have to each wait a hour for the other. The massage was fine, the benefit of Thai Massage places used to be that the were cheaper than a typical corporate massage place and you could get in pretty quickly if you didn't plan ahead, but the prices have climbed across the board and this was $70 for a hour. Katie was friendly, but I can't imagine coming back unless I'm in a pinch and can't find a different place.

I understand the need for cancellation policies, but there should always be room for compassion and common sense--especially in emergencies. To be penalized during one of the scariest moments of my life feels cold and deeply unfair. I won't be returning and I hope no one else has to go through something similar. As far the service, I continued to try to work with Alyssa by clearly communicating what type of simple lashes I wanted, and by bringing in photos. Time after time she got it wrong and seemed to give me her version of what she wanted for me. I continued to go in hopes that we could eventually get on the same page and build an understanding of what I was wanting.
