Since moving in, we have completed multiple other A/V projects with Interactive Automation. We could not be happier. Barry Newton (the owner) and his colleague Joe Warnett are the definition of outstanding customer service. They are proactive, knowledgeable and most importantly, extremely responsive (even for the occasional after hours or weekend call). We have referred several friends to them and we would not think of using any other A/V company for any future projects. They are truly outstanding on every level.

Lastly, he also installed an outlet so we can keep everything hidden. Can't beat the value as he saved me time, effort, and peace of mind. The cost is well worth it. This was a system that I had installed myself, but needed them to install cameras on some light poles in the parking lot. I worked with Jay on this project. He came out to survey the area and find out what I wanted done. He then gave me some ideas on how to set up the cameras for better coverage. He also said he could clean up the cable runs to the cameras that I had already installed (I had lots of exposed cables). A couple of days later, I received a fair priced quote for the work. I agreed to the price and Jay gave me a date and time that he could come out and do the work. This was less than a week since my initial consult. On the day of the job, he and his guys showed up on time and immediately started work. They were very professional and got everything cleanly installed with no exposed cables. All cameras were working and pointed in the correct direction. They cleaned up everything and left. I HIGHLY recommend them.

Since things are rarely perfect, one of the best ways to know that you're dealing with a great…read morebusiness is to consider how they respond when a problem occurs. I bought some motorized window shades that had the ability to work with my home network. These would open from both the top and bottom, work on a schedule, and could be controlled by an app on my phone. The shades were quiet, blocked all light and worked perfectly - worth every penny. There was a small problem in which the manufacturer included the wrong mounting brackets with one of the shades. Steve (who I believe is the owner) contacted me by phone, got the correct brackets in right away, and showed up himself at my place to make sure everything was just right. Excellent product and excellent service.

I called Electronic Minions for help troubleshooting my home network. They responded to my email on Friday, came out for a preliminary assessment on Monday, and completed the entire job on Tuesday. Harris (the owner) is a networking guy. He knows how to go about troubleshooting home or business networks. While the chimney is on the second floor, it's accessible by climbing from the first story over the garage. Anyway, sent photos from the ground and was basically told it would be easier to replace the antenna for the $250 plus the cost of the antenna. What? I'm interested in a pair of speakers they carry so I filled out my info on their "Contact Us" page…read moreon their website. That was three months ago and I NEVER got a reply. So, I called two days ago and spoke to Kurt about the speakers and inquired about them accepting trade-in speakers. I figured they wouldn't because I purchased them a while ago from a different dealer, but figured it wouldn't hurt to ask. Kurt informed me he'd need to ask the owner and call me back. As I stated that was two days ago, and I never got a call back. I just called again and Kurt informed me that he "handed it off" to the owner and he was supposed to call me, which never happened. I guess the $7,500 (before tax) I was going to spend to simply pick up a pair of speakers means I am not worth the time it takes to make a simple phone call. Luckily Crutchfield carries the same speakers for the same price and they are quite interested in my money. I wanted to support a local brick and mortar store instead of an online behemoth, but unfortunately I cannot think of a reason to support such poor customer service.
