I went there for a system tuning. I have the JL fix and the tweak 88. I paid $80 an hour shop rate. Three hours later ...The sound is horrible. I've contacted JL Audio to let them know. They referred me to another authorized dealer to fix my system. I called and spoke to the owner and asked for a refund. He did not corporate. So when my system is fixed and I have the documentation showing the issues that were resolved I will see them in court. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone!!! read more

I didn't have a stereo installed here. I don't know how they even stay in business. i did get one with all the bells and whistles installed elsewhere for about what they wanted to charge me for just purchasing he equipment at this place. Now, it wasn't that I couldn't have afforded having one installed here, but as soon as the first guy I encountered in the store began to speak to me, he dwelt on the cost, as if surely nobody could even afford such a thing. Technology, technology! Electronics seem to malfunction at the worst times, on top of certain ones seeming to have a short life span and being ridiculously expensive. Like many other people's experiences this was the case for me. Therefore I was on the hunt to diagnose an issue concerning my charger and laptop, and I found Computer Specialist. The weird thing is on yelp, and on Maps they're listed as "Computer Specialists" but their store says "Audio Specialists". Either way I called and discussed my situation with the owner and asked if I could come in so he could examine my laptop. He informed me they used to service computers, and that he is knowledgeable about them, but their business now specializes specifically catering to other electronic services now. I said I was out and about and since I was close by I thought Id stop by, and the owner said he'd take a look. When I arrived, the owner initially was calm, then when he noticed certain atypicalities his eyes bulged out of his sockets, and his voice raised and became shrill. He then looked at me like as if I were suspect. The tip of my charger was loose and it wouldn't remain in place in the DC input jack and the owner said to me loudly "This isnt supposed to be like thissss!!!!" then he said "Was this always like this???" The owner acted as if I had done something to my own laptop, or as if I was supposed to know. If I knew what the issue was I wouldn't have brought it in!!! I also noticed as the owner was examing my laptop he seemed like he was becoming more perplexed by the minute, and more stressed than I was (by contorting his facial expressions) which gave me more stress. The owner's resolve was to sell me a new charger. So he went to the back found a box , which was a universal charger. I thought .....FINALLY MY PROBLEM IS SOLVED!!! I had a glimmer of hope. So the owner opened the box and everything in the box was there EXCEPT for the charger??!! The owner said loudly "I just don't know??"".... "Someone took the charger!!!" he shook his head and rubbed his white hair then, frantically ran to his office, he came out with two used chargers covered in dust and threw them on the stool... he continued to shake his head and said "No, I cant help you these wont work either!!". Then he just gave me a cold stare, and there was a moment of silence where we both stared at each other. My thoughts were "Okaaaaay if you knew they (the dusty chargers) weren't going to work why in the world did you grab them in the first place????" I also noticed the other customers that were conducting business simultaneously as me seemed to be haggling over merchandise and paying largely with cash. Is this an auction??? As for the place and staff, I cant generalize but I will say the owner seems to be very knowledgeable about electronics and had a plausible diagnosis concerning my laptop to say the least. However, his demeanor towards me especially being a woman was more than uncomfortable, and off-putting. It very was offensive, I had to try very hard to restrain myself from acting out. Furthermore regardless of Audio Specialist no longer entailing computer repairs with their services, I have never gone to a business and seen someone open a box and have parts missing!! WOW!!! Especially the very parts you need. It's like opening a box of cereal and all that's inside are crumbs, the toy but no cereal, and its breakfast time when your hungry!!!! What kind of place is this!!!??? My thoughts are based on the owner's demeanor towards me this place is suited for male clientele with thick skin that know how to haggle, for pieces of merchandise. Because it seems they sell by the piece here. Also if those chargers were dusty and one was missing what does that say about their other merchandise??? My advice is you should probably look elsewhere. read more

They are very professional at what they do. They have a very good retail team that really knows what they are talking about and helped me every step of the way and recommended what I needed for my car and it works very well with no problems. They also sell high quality brands like JL and Pioneer. They are the cheapest and the best car audio installers around. The employees that work there are super friendly and experienced. They definitely made my experience in the car audio world a plus. I will for sure go there if I have any questions or want to have them install something in my car. Please read entire story it's long but it will definitely help you so you won't experience the rudeness I did. I had one of the worst experiences ever dealing with a retail shop. I had a installation scheduled for 5-28-19 to install a alarm/remote starter, 4-speakers and subwoofer box with amp. The manager Jake told me it would take two days for the job but I made the mistake by telling him I was going out of town that weekend. So it went from dropping it off Tuesday and it taking two days now that it may take until Thursday which is 3-days to complete if I wanted a professional job done. Well they didn't complete the job until Friday so I couldn't take the vehicle on the trip. So I complained about it taking so long and Jake just kept saying if you want it done right it takes time. I returned back from out of town and asked if someone could meet me on Sunday so I can pick my vehicle up and then agreed but wasn't happy because this wasn't a normal business day and he was spending time with his family but could meet later that day. Everything looked fine but the I later noticed that my carpet was sticking up and staples in a position that could hurt someone. The alarm was not working either. I went there today to see if they would take care of it. Jake the manager swore up and down that his installer didn't do that. Well his installer Nick came out and did admit that it wasn't put back the way it should've and he would gladly take care of it. Meanwhile manager wasn't in agreement with any customer service and I told him I wanted to speak with the owner and the owner Bruno came out to inspect my vehicle. Bruno wanted to make sure I was made happy before I leave and that everything was done correctly. I told Bruno that's all I wanted but Jake wasn't a people person and lacked customer service and was rough around the edges. Bruno's reply was yes he is. While I was talking to Bruno manager Jake comes out and hands Bruno a key and said here I quit! Bruno then leaves chasing Jake in the store. The installer said to me don't feel bad it's not you he is a person with a attitude. Twenty minutes later Bruno comes out the store and says to me thanks for him getting ready to lose his business because his manager Jake is quitting. Nick finished working on my van fixed the carpet and the alarm. I went back into the store to let the owner Bruno know that Nick did a excellent job and I'm getting ready to leave but owner Bruno stated to Nick that he would not come out to see me. Nick told me it could've been done sooner but he kept Ed getting pulled off to do other things because he is the only installer. Do yourself a favor don't do business at Audio Specialist!
