I have purchased almost every piece of furniture in my home from the Guest Room and will continue to do so. No gimmicky salespeople, they aim to please and are NEVER pushy. Be sure to stop in when they are having one of their floor sample sales. We have saved some $$$ this way. This is the only place near the Shenandoah Valley where I have found reasonably priced furniture with a European flair. All of their furniture is of the highest quality. The store looks very unassuming from the front. It's in a small building right off of Route 7 with an Amish buggy sitting out front. It shares its space with another furniture store with very boring pieces (mostly oak) from my parents' era.

Then Virginia was closed and we were stuck at the folks house, loaded with 50+ years of their life, in the middle of a Pandemic and Recession. J at Fair Auction Co. worked with us, explaining how to make lots, how to photo them (which they normally do), and then when the anti-travel ban was lifted, he put the estate on-line immediately. Most of the furniture was Mid Century Scandanavian. J found us our market, featured us, had a one day pick up in front of the house, while his professional staff, wearing masks, came into the house and removed sold lots as buyers arrived. We were very pleased with the financial receipt. Thank you Fair Auction Company!

I had in my mind that I would need to buy a big expensive dryer to get higher quality. We were looking at dryers that were $800 to $1000. A thousand dollars for something I hate to use! And that's before we paid for the old unit to be taken away, added warranty and whatever else could be added on. When I told Rick at Sterling Appliance that I felt like I had to buy something expensive to get quality, he explained why that wasn't correct. We ended up with a GE dryer with expanded capacity, delivered, installed and the old one taken away for under $600. We could have easily been mislead and he could have easily sold us a more expensive unit. He probably could have sold us a washer without too much effort. But he didn't. He was truthful and straightforward. He was interested in our satisfaction and not in up-selling. We stopped here because we wanted to potentially give business to a non-chain store. We ended up with a good deal, excellent product and outstanding customer service.

We walked in to see what they carried, it's been a while since i went appliance shopping and I almost walked out with a new washer/dryer set. They sell a washer/dryer in one...I knew these existed, but it was nice seeing it up front. They are having a grand opening sales and gift card rebates until the ~25th of August. One thing to note is that they do charge for the accessories, which is essentially covered by the gift card rebates and instant sales. Anyone in the market for new appliances should definitely check out this store and take advantage of the sales and gift cards. There is plenty of parking available in front of the store, also shared by neighboring stores.

Absolute Negligence, Property Damage, and Zero Accountability!!! I am not one to post negative…read morereviews ever and always try to resolve any issues with the business directly. This experience has honestly been the worst experience I have had with a business so I feel I need to share with other consumers. We purchased all new kitchen appliances from Bray & Scarff and spent approximately $8,500. From the very beginning, this experience has been a nightmare. Nearly every appliance delivered was damaged, forcing us to reject multiple deliveries and wait for replacements. This alone caused weeks of disruption and frustration. The worst issue, however, was the complete incompetence of their installer. When installing our new refrigerator, the installer failed to properly connect the water line, causing an active leak that went unnoticed for 2-3 weeks. By the time we discovered it, significant damage had already occurred to our home. Bray & Scarff sent someone to inspect the damage and acknowledged the issue, stating they would submit a claim to their insurance carrier, Travelers. That is where the accountability ended. Travelers has been unresponsive, dismissive, and obstructive. Phone calls go unanswered, and we are repeatedly told to file a claim with our own homeowners insurance instead -- despite this damage being caused by Bray & Scarff's installer. This would unfairly raise our insurance premiums and shift responsibility away from the party that caused the damage. The combination of damaged products, negligent installation, property damage, and insurance runaround is unacceptable. We trusted Bray & Scarff with a major home purchase and were met with carelessness and refusal to take responsibility when it mattered most. If you value your home, your time, or your peace of mind, do not use Bray & Scarff. We are now exploring formal complaints and legal options.
