We immediatley reported it stolen…read more Come to find out today, after 5 days that Carnes Motor Company had our truck picked up, literally in the middle of the storm leaving us with no way to evacuate if our home was to have flooded. Insurance was up to date and payment wasn't due for another week. Apparently because they were unable to verify that insurance had been payed on Friday they decided to take truck on Saturday. They are now requiring a $400 repo fee and truck payment is due tomorrow. Again, insurance was up to date and we are not behind on payment so there was no reason to have our vehicle taken and then have to pay repo fees? This doesn't make sense. While the rest of Houston is reaching out to those affected by the storm, Carnes Motor Co. is taking all they can from hard working citizens. Just wanted to post an update...After posting the original post here, all of a sudden the manager had a "change of heart" and decided to waive the repo fee. However when asked if there would be any compensation for the 5-6 days the truck was in their possesion the answer was a quick, "no, we're already giving you a break on the repo fee". Now keep in mind the entire situation should never have happened to begin with and to top it off once we got the truck noticed that the floorboard on both sides of the vehicle was wet. Had it stayed in our driveway that would not have happened. Worst of all is having to have dealt with all this mess even before our very first payment on the truck was due, which happens to be today.

In the past when we have shopped around for vehicles, the salesmen always made us feel pressured, but this experience was different. Mina was exceptionally helpful in helping us find the car that was the right fit and never tried to push us beyond our budget or to make a decision that we weren't ready to make. He was very patient with us... literally spending full on DAYS with us over the course of a few weeks in order that we would find the right vehicle. We are so happy with our new vehicle and extra grateful for the positive experience that Mina provided us with!

    AutoNation came picked up my truck to do an oil change and tire rotation just usual stuff. They…read morepicked up my truck at 9:00 a.m. and I never heard from them again the rest of the day. When it got close to 6:00 p.m., their service department closing time, I tried calling the department and got an answering machine. I left a message and didn't get a return. Called back and tried to request service. Of course they answer expecting more business. The person I talked to said I need to speak to my service advisor and that they would contact them and have them contact me. I never got contacted. The next morning I was sure that they would be calling me first thing in the morning but I still had to call them. The person I talked to said they called a couple of times yesterday and left text and got no response from me. I have no missed calls and no missed text on my phone and I guarantee the person that said that is a liar. Be glad to give you his phone number if you want to prove he did. Be glad to post it right here.

Suspicious trial lawyer that I am, I may have had preconceptions. I met the owner, Hussam Allo, at the cleanest, nicest looking establishment in the area and noticed upon entry some pretty nice cars on the lot. The vehicle in question was amazingly clean and confirmed to be mechanically tight by a couple of my mechanic friends, with the exception of sloppy front end, which I later learned and confirmed Hussam corrected at substantial effort and expense. The deal later concluded with a successful sale at a fair price on a fairly exotic specialty vehicle. Hussam had no problem with the car going to my friend's shop, produced CarFax docs, repair records, geographical and flood history that was confirmed. A man of his word, he operates with his wife, a clean and reputable auto brokering business that I would recommend for consideration. One more tip-of-the-hat to the small business man making' it and providing a valuable service in the community.

But the way they spin it is wild. They hype it up like the "high-quality inspection" magically brings the value back to normal. They talk fast, use fancy dealership words, and try to make you believe the car is worth clean-title money just because it looks good. But here's the truth: A bad title is a bad title. Flood. Rebuilt. Mileage rolled back. Once that's on the history, it's staying there forever. You'll never get your money back. You'll never resell it for what you think it's worth. And you'll always be stuck explaining that title issue to the next person -- if you can even find a buyer. These cars look amazing -- I'll give them that. They shine like brand-new, and that's what almost gets you. In the heat of the moment, with all that shine and excitement, it's easy to forget what you're really buying. But let's be honest: Pretty garbage is still garbage. Some of these cars have water damage you can't see. Some have rebuilt titles from who-knows-what. And the worst of all -- rolled-back mileage. That right there is an automatic NO. Unless you just got money to throw away, I'm telling everyone: Stay away. Go look if you want. Admire the beauty from a distance. But don't pull out your wallet. The salespeople are inexperienced, talk in circles, and try to distract you with shiny paint and smooth phrases -- but when it comes down to honesty, straight answers, and real value? Bottom line: NO. You've been warned.

Tommy was my Sales Associate, and he did a great job assisting me with this vehicle. Tommy took his time and allowed me to see the entire vehicle from under the hood of this G Wagon to the underneath! He answered all my questions and whichever ones he could not answer at that moment, he quickly went to find out from the Sales Manager. Upon taking a fun and quick ride in this awesome Mercedes, we headed inside to talk numbers. Although I did not purchase this G Wagon from Tommy at America's Xtreme Auto, I left feeling very satisfied that they would have my back in the event of the next purchase.
