Poor communication when issues come up; in violation of state regulations. Check out the EEC website.

TSNS is an amazing preschool. When we began our preschool search, I had a picture in my mind of…read morewhat it would look like. TSNS was nothing like what I pictured. I had never heard of a Certified Nature Explore school before. I quickly realized how priceless it was to have my kids spend so much of their day outside, exploring their world and cultivating curiosity. You will not find a "cookie cutter" approach to education here. The teachers are amazing, know the children so well and are able to assist them in learning by encouraging curiosity and exploration. Play is incorporated into everything they do and the kids quickly develop a joy of learning. My boys have loved it! As parents, the community has been priceless to us. The toddler/pre-k year's are so tough...It's nice to have wonderful people to go through it with. We couldn't be happier with our choice and highly recommend TSNS.

They are so thoughtful about creating different experiences for the kids where they learn so much without realizing they are "learning." My daughter loves the amazing outdoor nature space/playground, maker space, and all the classroom activities, and her caring relationships with staff and classmates. The classrooms are bright, clean and sunny and filled with awesome materials. I also appreciate flexible scheduling options including full year and per diem afternoon and early drop off options

I really appreciate of teachers by supporting my child to enhance her language and independency as well. Thanks for the effort of them, my child was able to do the most of things when she entered the kindergarten. She is the 1st grader now, and still been talking about the great memories of the Coop. We love it.

Children's Co-op is an amazing preschool. When my daughter started in September, she had never…read morebeen left with anyone but me, her father, or her grandmother. Needless to say, I was quite nervous about leaving her for the first time ever. And as it turned out, the nervousness was needless as well. The wonderful thing about a co-op preschool is that parents take an active role in the running of it. Everyday a different parent helps out in the classroom. This provides an excellent opportunity to view your child in the classroom environment. You get to know and play with your child's classmates. You get to see the teachers in action. And your child gets the pleasure of showing you all that they do in school every day. But you don't have to worry about it being some huge time commitment. Since there are 14 - 16 kids in the class it works out to about once a month that a parent has to help out in class. And if you trade off with your partner, that means just one half day every other month you'd need to be there. Besides the co-op structure, other features I love about the Children's Coo-op: * low student/teacher ratio (in the younger class it's 14 students with 2 full-time teachers, 1 part-time teacher, and 1 parent helper), and the teachers are all wonderful * play-based curriculum - they're NAEYC accredited * great facilities - sunny rooms, fun playground * location location location - right in Newton Center, across the street from Starbucks, down the street from the T, ample free parking * flexible schedule - in addition to the normal school hours, 9 - 12 every morning (except Wednesdays for the younger class) they have early drop off and late stay day options My daughter loves school. So I love it.

We also have confidence that the Beginnings team is doing everything the right way in regards to keeping the whole community safe and healthy. The teachers are well-trained to scaffold the most important dimensions of early learning: social-emotional development and self-help skills. Pre-academic tasks are weaved through play and conversation and children are quick to adopt a growth mindset, which is one of the most necessary indicators of future success. I highly recommend Beginnings for any parent or educator looking for a truly special, unique school that will give them or their children the tools needed to thrive.
