A neighbor suggested Wee Care and we originally intended daycare to be only a temporary solution. But we were so amazed at the loving environment, the caliber of the childcare providers and educators and the quality of the curriculum for all age groups that we decided to move to full time, permanent care for our baby. Then we also moved our preschooler into their program full time (we moved her out of another local program and into Wee Care). It's been the best decision our family ever could have made. The school follows a curriculum that integrates art, science, music & movement, technology, creative play and social skills. Our daughter is now full time in Pre-K at Wee Care and we are so amazed at what she's learning each and every week. We feel she will be more than prepared to begin Kindergarten next year. The school also does a fantastic job creating a close knit community with events for families (a Halloween party, holiday pot luck, end of year party, etc.). There are also fun special events for the kids throughout the year. The quality of both the childcare and education at Wee Care is second to none. There is usually a wait list to get in here, and it's very clear why!!

The new principal, Mr. Rothwell, staff and teachers are dedicated caring passionate people. They do go the extra mile to foster a warm, loving, safe environment for the kids to grow, learn and develop in. We moved here and didn't know a lot about the schools. The guidance counselor, Mr. Hintz, warmly greeted us and gave us a tour and answered our questions when we were going through the school choice process. The enthusiasm around the school is contagious. Typically a word you don't want to hear about when it comes to schools. However you, your child, and your family are bound to catch it. Parents are friendly and welcoming, whether they are part of the PTO or just coming and going to and from the school. There is plenty of room with large play yards and play structures. Ample parking and a very safe drop off and pick up process. Pleasant street can be a bit busy so drive with care during school hours. Check in at the office and your bound to find more friendly faces willing to help you out. Ms. Silverman is incredible and keeps things pulled together and moving smoothly. If you need help or have questions the health educator, Ms. Kinsella, and nurse, Ms. Pratt, are also ready and willing to step in and put your child at ease. Mr. Wisneski is an outstanding person who does not only teach but brings fun, I mean fun, into the class every day. Every person I spoke to before the beginning of the year had so many wonderful things to say that it helped put my mind at ease. Given our short time at this school I don't know each and every teacher. However, they all work together for the kids and fold them all in. Everyone at Brophy has helped to make the transition smooth, fun, and easy. How can you not learn when you are having fun and excited to be there? So the down fall, if there is one, is the kids grow up and move on.

In the pre-engineering major, students study engineering for two years and have guaranteed admission to WPI and UMass Lowell for their junior and senior years. Bio, Biochem, and Nutrition students have a strong community. There is a Pre-Health Advising Club led by Dr. Shelli Waetzig for students on the pre-PA and MD tracks. The nursing major is a two-year program for people who have an associate's degree in nursing and want a bachelor's degree. According to LinkedIn, the nursing program's graduates work at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women's Hospital, and the Boston Children's Hospital.  The rest of the departments are not good. The salary for computer science graduates at Framingham State is pretty low at ~$50k. Even the professors do not send their kids here. Socially, there is nothing to do because there is a strict prohibition of alcohol even for students who are 21 and over and because most students live with their parents.

I can't say enough about this place…read more I took the full 4 day bartending course and absolutely loved it. I have to be honest that I took the class more for fun than to learn to become a professional bartender. No matter if your goal is for to learn for fun or for a job I can't imagine any place could better prepare you. They teach you in the way that makes most sense, hands on. The classroom is actually a real bar. So it makes things really feel like your working an actual bar. You start with the basics and finish with a practical test where you have to make 15 or so different drinks that the instructor orders from you out of a total of like 40 or 50 that they teach you in the class. They also teach you a lot of history and general bar knowledge which I found fascinating. The other really interesting aspect was all the first hand experiences and insights of the instructors. All the instructors were very experienced bartenders who were also great teachers. I found the stories and tips they gave to be the most valuable part of the class. So if you want to be a bartender or are just really interested in cocktail culture I would highly recommend taking a course from them.

The teachers are really attentive and at the end of the day the kids at all different ages get to interact with each other in their central area/atrium. The environment reminds me of my childhood when I got to play with cousins who are older and younger than me. All the teachers are very enthusiastic with the children's learning and I love how they always do art activities. They have plenty of room for kids to run around and plenty of toys (sensory, interactive and fun). Sometimes I pop in the middle of the day to say hi! and I see the teachers reading books to the kids (even to the babies!). They provide breakfast, snacks and drinks but you have to pack your own kid's lunch. They provide the baby wipes but you have to provide your own diapers and butt cream. BYO sunblock as well (and whatever other lotion you want them to slather on your child). They also brush your kid's teeth which is pretty cool. BYO sleeping mat/bag for toddlers but they do have cribs for the crawlers and babies. They have a long waiting list so I highly recommend getting your child's name in the list right away. This area also allows interaction between the children and other teachers, which helps to facilitate transitions between classrooms.
