Registration troubles... We bought our late model used General last winter from AEP and were pleaed with the service and price. Upon pick up we noticed the expired sticker on the machine. AEP assured me they would replace the sticker for me but after many tries and false promised we still have not received the sticker. Now I am off to the DMVto pay another $100 for replacement reg and I am not happy. It's a shame to let some paperwork interfere with an otherwise pleasant experience but as we know, reg is a big thing. Ben S. read more

I am currently having a prolonged service experience at Auburn Powersports for my Polaris snowmobiles, and unfortunately, it is far from satisfactory. Despite booking the appointment well in advance (2 weeks to the next open service date), I have faced ongoing communication delays and multiple issues with the service provided. My sleds were dropped off per my appointment and were not looked at for over 3 full weeks despite numerous calls to the shop requesting status, and parts order updates. It is now February and we still do not have any resolution to the issues that have been exacerbated by a lack of professionalism and attention to detail. The first post-service ride uncovered significant problems directly related to the service provided, including a disturbing sound in one sled and loose engine components in another. These were issues that were related to and caused by work done by the shop that had clearly not undergone a critical step in the quality control process. The snowmobiles should have never been returned to me in the condition they were. I had to bring the sleds back for a second visit, where more issues were identified, related to the original work done. Unfortunately, the mechanics only addressed the issues we the riders pointed out, rather than doing a full inspection on the sled and work completed in order to truly troubleshoot what was going on. My biggest concern is the ongoing problem with one of the snowmobiles. Loose and misaligned components from the initial work have caused additional damage and wear on the system. Despite an attempt by Auburn Powersports to correct the errors of the initial service, a subsequent ride revealed a worsening sound and further wear leading to the presence of metal shavings, raising questions about the thoroughness of the initial service. I asked the team at Auburn Powersports several times if the sled had been repaired as this was its second visit to the shop in as many months and they assured me that it was taken care of. I later found out there was a discrepancy in the confidence in the work from several members of the team. The communication from the Auburn Powersports team has been frustrating and lacking. I am constantly having to call the shop and drive this issue to resolution. Clear explanations of the issues and the steps taken to address them are not being provided, leaving me in the dark about the status of my sled. We are now in the middle of the winter riding season and going into the 3rd month of issues. The cumulative impact of these issues has left me with a lack of confidence in the quality of service provided. I believe in supporting local businesses, and my decision to choose Auburn Powersports was made with that intention. However, the current circumstances have left me regretting this choice. I will continue to contact the shop and drive this to resolution and hope to receive the quality of service expected from a local specialty shop like Auburn Powersports. I will update this review once resolution and complete repair has occurred. I hope this detailed feedback prompts a thorough review of Auburn's service processes and improvements for myself and future customers. UPDATE: The owner, Jeff, once back from vacation, handled the manner professionally and took care of us as the customer. I paid for a new driveshaft and Auburn Powersports supplied the remaining parts at no cost, which included bearings, upper and lower drive sprockets, backer plate, and new quick-drive belt. We worked together on a reasonable agreement for the labor to install the parts, and after (2) rides I can confidently say - the sled is back together and operational. read more

The appointment was set for July 23 to drop it off . It has been 3 weeks and not ONE courtesy phone call or anything ... so my BF calls today finally. Fed up ( He is patient and tolerant since he's in the auto repair business ) . He spoke to the actual owner . This guy has no reason for the lack of communication and then proceeds to tell us that it hasn't even been looked at . "We're busy" he says . Wow! I would have given 0 stars if it let me . Unbelievable lack of courtesy of service . Must be nice to have so much business you don't care about the actual customer . Wanted to pick up a new snowmobile. Called and left a voicemail during business hours. No one called back. Called again and left another message the following day, no one called back. Called again the following day and a guy answered and said the one listed on their webpage was sold, so I asked what else he had in stock, he said he would take my number and call me back, so I gave it to him... never heard back. Called again two days later and got message asking me to leave a voicemail. Purchased a snowmobile today at another dealer, and it went smoothly. Two years ago I had the same experience trying to buy a dirt bike. Really unprofessional and no one will ever call you back. I went in a couple of weeks ago to get a mini bike true the wheel and tighten the spokes. I asked them how much and how long, he said it would $65+ and they were busy so it would be several weeks out, so he inspected it said it was not bent and went in the back got a wrench and showed me how we could do it at home. Wow. Never thought I'd be posting a 1 star review here. My previous review documents a great experience.... I was sold a cheap tire and had it put on by a friendly person. What I did not know is they sold me a front tire rated for only 500 pounds... AS A REAR TIRE. How dangerous is this? Incredibly dangerous for the bike I was riding which was 500 pounds without my 225lbs on it. The tire shredded after only about 1000 miles because IT WAS NOT A REAR TIRE that I thought I was buying. I wish I could give zero stars. I was working late, driving to another service call in my company vehicle (box van). As I was getting in the freeway at 65 miles an hour with a car in front of me. A lifted blue truck with this company's vinyls all over it (assuming the owner) intentionally tried to run me off the road in an attempt to squeeze between me and the car that was in front of me. I understand that it is hard to see around my truck but this was in a single lane freeway merge! I have been driving a for over 15 years with constant cutters and no complaints, but this is different. I really thought I was going to lose control and wreck my company truck at 8:30 pm because it is so impossible to be behind me for five more seconds. This is definitely related to their business because they are flying this company's flag while driving like this. I have NEVER called to complain about driving or wrote a review to complain. (check to confirm) These are the people that you are doing business with! These people have no concern for your safety, that you have a family to go home to. You want to let them under your hood???? Tracy in service took great care of me. The amp in my one year old General XP4 went out and so did the display on the head unit. The display issue turned out to be a fuse and Tracy helped me get the amp covered under warranty (I picked up the labor since it was technically out of warranty). They also got my tailgate working properly again (it wouldn't latch on one side). Great service and my General is back to 100%. I bought the General from them a year ago and I've had five interactions with them since then: two scheduled services, two repairs, and a purchase and install of an aftermarket windshield. So far it's been all good. I know they had some delays due to employees out, covid, etc. (who didn't?) but they kept me informed when there were delays. read more

In all my years of doing business with any type of industry this is the absolute worst customer service I've ever received in my life. I purchased two brand new 2020 snowmobile's and a sled deck from them in December 2019.(so that's a chunk of change) when the registrations arrived one of them was listed as a 2019 which the Vin confirms it's a 2020 it was only a typo I have been waiting for one year and seven months for them to re-issue my registration.They will not return my calls texts or otherwise. Which also caused me not to receive the rebate I was supposed to get from purchasing a 2020 the owner said he would make it right and push it through no matter what ultimately he tried to give me a piddly store credit as if I ever wanna step foot in that place again. So if I try to sell the snowmobile the registration states it is 2019 there's definitely a big difference in value. According to DMV and the lienholder the only person that can fix this is the dealer. But since they already got paid they don't give two sh#ts read more

Avoid at all cost!!!  The service is a complete joke. Horrible customer service (after they get your cash) they seldom answer their phone, tell you they'll call you back, and no return calls if you leave a message (unless, your message is about purchasing and new vehicle).   I purchased a brand new 2020 Beta and had some very minor issues with it (carb leak and oil leak). I'm told the common issue with the carb is the float bowl level is set too high at the factory and to bring it right in to get it fixed. Next day I dropped it off, and picked it up a few days later after they "fixed" both issues.  While unloading the bike at home, gas started pouring out of the carb again. I loaded the bike back up and dropped it back off for them to fix.....again.  Two weeks go by, haven't heard a word from them, so I go in (because they seldom answer their service phone) and I'm told when the float bowl level is at the correct height it still leaks, tells me its a "Beta issue" and ensures me "the engineers at Beta are working on it."  Two more weeks go by, no phone calls, no contact with me at all, so again I have to go in and told there's no carb fix in sight, but Beta been working on it for the last week. So I email Beta to see what's going on. Tim at  Beta HQ (the Beta contact person for Auburn Extreme Powersports) tells me there are no issues.  It's a simple float bowl adjustment and that he hasn't had any contact from anyone in that shop regarding this issue (side note: for two week the shops has told they are in contact with Beta) Tim says he'll contact them after the weekend and try to get this resolved.  So I called other Beta dealers, none of them have had an issue adjusting the float bowl level. I immediately call the shop and they again tell me that they JUST talked to the Beta rep yesterday and they (Beta) are still working on the issue. Auburn Extreme Power Sports kept this lie going until they discovered I was talking to Tim at Beta as well. I was done with them and just wanted to pick up my bike and take it to Motoxotica to have it fixed. So I called and told them I'm on my way to pick up my bike.  They said it's not ready. I said I don't care, put the parts in a bag.  He continued to try to convince me not to pick up the bike. When I told him I'm on my way regardless, he said hold on a second.  He comes back a few minutes later a tells me "I have some bad news" some parts have been stolen off your bike and we don't have the parts to replace them. WTH???  Apparently, the shop was broken into and the Trail Tech computer was stolen and (of course) it's on "back order" from Beta.  No cut wires every connection neatly unplugged.  What a considerate and knowledgeable thief.  Thank you. A week goes by and I HAVE to go in to the shop to find out when the computer will arrive.  The guy at the counter tells me " What??? we have your computer right here and shows it to me. "  Now I'm really confused.  The owner comes over and tells me, "we found it in the bushes."  Thieves must've dropped it.  Ok, whatever just get it on the bike. Funny thing is when I got the bike back it had a brand new computer on it??? So confused. Wheres my original computer? They finally got the computer on and the oil leak fixed and when I got home I rode it around the block and oil was still leaking. So I call them, and  they actually answered the phone, and I told them the oil was still leaking. The guy who answered the phone said "hold on" and shouted over to the mechanic and asked him if he fixed it.  When he asked I heard the mechanic say, I put sealants on it, what else does he want me to do?  How about fix the leak? It was also missing the battery strap, which they said "you really don't need that anyway. Wires were not zip tied. Loose bolts.  Really horrible work. So they said bring it back in.  No way, not falling for that again.  I took the cover off and discovered the cover was cracked. It was a small crack but with a close inspection it was easy to see.  With a little pressure on the crack the mounting tab broke off.  So I told them just order me a new cover under warranty, which they did. Two weeks later, no calls from them. So I call, no answer.  Call again no answer. I go in.  The parts on back order, should be here in a week.  I walk out and get in the car and call Motoxotica, a Beta dealer an hour and a half away. He tells me, I can  get it to you in two days, which he did.  When I got the part form Motoxotica I called Auburn extreme to cancel the order for the cover.  The guy tells me, "it's been here for a week."  WTH???  Lol.  They threw Beta under the bus more times than I can recall and when they couldn't it was a COVID issue. I was honestly waiting for them to blame Trump for the next thing they couldn't fix.  I've told this story a dozen times on rides or sitting around the campfire.  Inevitably, someone says they've also  had a bad experience with Auburn Extreme Powersports. read more

I have been using Auburn Powersports for the last couple years in servicing my ATVs. The service department has done a wonderful job in the periodic maintenance and repairs needed. I have never felt that I have been overcharged or had any suggested repair that was not necessary. I have the utmost confidence in Sean in the way he runs the service department. I purchased a new Polaris ATV a year ago and did a lot of shopping prior to purchasing it from Auburn Powersports. Not only was the dealer close to home, but gave me the best price of the dealers I researched within hundred miles. No pressure sales, just a good clean honest deal; and that's what I like. Got a weird vibe. I walked in towards the parts counter, and walked up to the first gentleman I saw. I said "I'm looking for some Honda bolts", the first thing out of his mouth was "we're not a Honda dealer". Ok, I get that, but many bolts are universal, I guess it was my bad for throwing "Honda" out there. I probably should have just said "I'm looking for some metric bolts". Then he proceeds to show me a Honda track pack of misc Honda bolts. Ok, so I guess they do have Honda bolts. I told him that they only had 1 of the bolts I needed in that pack and I'd rather not buy 40 bolts (or however many) just for the 1 I need. I assume they have a s*** load of misc bolts in the back, it looks like they are a service dealership. Not sure why he wasn't eager to at least try and figure out if he had a bolt or 2 laying around that might work for me. Then there was another gentleman that was behind the counter. I think he overheard the issue I was dealing with. Once the first guy walked off, he kind of took over and was very personable and seemed like he genuinely wanted to help. He probably didn't feel he could go in back and start looking at bolts for me though after the other guy blew me off. I get that. He's the reason for the 2 extra stars. I'm still deciding if this place is worth "buying local", which I try to do for businesses that actually want my business. Edit to add - Went back in this week to purchase coolant. If I could post zero stars for this business I would. I went in on 12.14.17 and purchased a part as a Christmas gift. I explained to the parts person that it was a xmas gift and was assured they would order it and ship if out and we would receive it by xmas. Called today 12.22.17 to inquire about a tracking number so I could see where the package was. The first parts person was nice but for some reason transferred the call to amother person named Mike. Mike was extremely unhelpful and very rude. He would not or could not give me a tracking number as he stated the employee that shipped the order was not in. I asked to speak with the owner. Jeff ,who identified himself as the owner....although as rude as he was I really hoped he lied and just said he was the owner... told me they shipped the part via the mail system and could not give me a tracking number, He stated "he wasn't responsible for the mail system and after all since it was Christmas what did I expect" I stated I "expected" to have the part by xmas as that is what I was promised by his employee. I expected it would have been shipped by UPS or Fed Ex and that a shipping/tracking number would be provided as this is what most professional businesses do. I did not "expect" it would be shipped by the postal service as there would not have been any guarantee of delivery. Had I known they were just dropping it in a mailbox I would have driven there and picked it up. I would not have paid to have something shipped (not mailed) to me and my family member would have their gift under the xmas tree. After expressing my expectations and frustration to Jeff (supposed owner) he stated he didn't have to speak with me any longer and hung up on me. I have never ever experienced the rude, condensending attitude from any retailer, let alone a small community business owner, as I did from both Mike and Jeff. Todays treatment reminded me of why I went to Reno Polaris last year for the purchase of my $30k+ Turbo razor. We were treated poorly then also by the staff at Auburn Polaris. We were ignored and when we asked to be helped with a purchase we might be making they acted like they were doing us a favor. Last time I checked when in a service business you probably should be glad to have a customer in your showroom or place of business. If you like poor service and lack of caring then go to this business....if you want to be treated like your dollar means something then go elsewhere. It is amazing to me that this place is still in business and I promise I will drive an extra 20 miles before ever stepping foot in this place again. It sucks when you bring a set of wheels in on a Wednesday for a simple tube swap and they say it will be dome by the end of the day. Next day I called and they weren't done. No big deal don't need them till saturday. Saturday comes around and I roll into the shop figuring they are definitely done. They told me there have been busy and come back later. So a 1 hour same day Job turned into a 4 day Job. I know I'm not spending a lot of money with them today, but I have dumped money into their shop previously. I won't be going back. Thank for all the help guys! Spent a week at King of Hammers and decided I needed a new toy! When I visited Auburn Extreme, I hooked up with Jeff who could not have been more helpful! They had all three colors for the model I was looking for which no one else had! Picked out the new white color and purchased it with no issues. As far as there service and parts, well.... I would give them 5 stars also!!! Broke the rear axle on my third ride. On the way home we stopped in, didn't think it would be covered under the Polaris warranty. I called Auburn Extreme Powersports with a very specific request for a certain brand and model of tire. The sales staff took me name and said they would call me "right back" with a price. The staff called me back, called me the wrong name even after being corrected, over 4 hours later and quoted me a price that seemed much too low. I confirmed with them that these were the specific tires I asked for and he said no but these are similar "and will be fine". I race side by sides and a similar tire will not be fine. I told the salesman no and that I need the specific tire I asked for. He said he'd call me "right back" again. The next day at 3:00 in the afternoon, I received a call from the salesman, again called me the wrong name and gave me the exact same price as before. He tried to sell me on a "similar" tire again and told me they would be "fine". I made a $4000 tire purchase elsewhere. I try hard to keep my money local but will no longer deal with the arrogance/incompetence of Auburn extreme. read more

I purchase a new XP 1000 LE from this dealer and before I could get it off the trailer it threw a code. I took it back to them and they said it was a 20 minute fix. 38 days later and 13 promised delivery dates I still have no XP. I have since cancelled the purchase from this rude and obnoxious dealership owner and purchased another one from a different dealer. Written by my husband: They need to work on their customer service skills. BIG TIME. They spend their time talking to people they find of great importance rather than acknowledge their actual customers. They have this attitude that you know nothing and really have a special way of making you feel like an idiot. We tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and had them work on our RZR. They have worked on it a couple of times for warranty work and since we bought it there and it's local, we figured we would have them fix our carrier bearing. Well, first they told us it was going to be $200 total. Then when they came to pick it up ( this was after 3 attempts to get on the calendar) there was an added $75 for pick up and delivery, they have NEVER charged us a fee for that and certainly didn't mention it. Then 4 days later they called and said it was done and the total was $375. They said because it was a 4 seater. This is false, the original paper work for the job even says 4 seater. When I said I wouldn't pay that he hung up on me and didn't call me back. Tuesday when they reopened I called them and we settled on the original price of $200 but had to pay the $75 delivery fee. I just wanted my RZR back at this point. Now fast forward to the weekend and I took it apart to see the work they did and found wires they ripped out not replaced, bent metal pieces that shouldn't be as well as huge scratches in my plastics. Now the worst part is the carrier bearing is on crooked, one bolt has a washer and the other doesn't and that's all I can see that is fucked up without completely taking it all apart. It's complete unsafe to drive and I have a trip in two weeks. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. They are rude, they do poor work, and who knows maybe they messed up the install because I refused to pay that extra $100 and didn't think I was smart enough to see it. Either way they completely messed up my RZR, I will not have them touch it ever again and you shouldn't either... Update!!!! Unprofessional and their customer service sucks! We stopped in this pass Saturday , they had a few people inside talking with staff, so we just kinda walked around abit and checked out what they had on the showroom floor (if you want to call it that , had stuff shoved,stacked and piled up everywhere) Not seeing a 900 Trail I waited till what looked like a couple of the staff were done with a family (mom, dad and two little kids) . I got past them and stood at the I guess parts counter and finally one of the three standing behind the counter asked if he could help us, I asked if they had any 900 Trails in stock ? The guy asked another staff guy if they did. He clicked on the comp and said they did have a year 15 then said wait no they didn't but thought they had a 16 out back. He went back in a office and came back out with a booklet and said the factory is having a $500 rebate but it was a dealer participation and that he could do $250 off ? Then he proceeds to ask for my info so he could book an OTD price on it. I said we'd like to look at one first . So he walks out behind the counter and as he did that I called for my wife to come on outback with us. She had gotten tired of standing there waiting and went to look at the t-shirt etc racks in the next room. She comes up behind us but the guy stopped and started talking with a guy and his ?? apparently he was buying a 1000 XP off the floor and started asking the guy all kinds of questions Meanwhile we are now both standing and waiting for him! He continues the conversation with the guy and starts asking him if he was going to go up to the Sierra's for some ride they would be doing the following day. So now I'm a little disgruntled to say the least, we stood there a couple more minutes and I finally had had enough and said F" it so we started walking towards the front door. Just as we got to the door I guess he realized we were walking out. So he yells "Hey do you want to look at the 900 Trail or not"? I turned as we were walking out the door biting my tongue and only said "apparently your too busy kissing the guys ass" Yeah so were weren't buying the big dollar 1000 XP BUT they lost a sell and much more because of this employee's piss-poor customer service attitude. read more

So i ordered some part from this place a few times and it seems that the 3 day wait always becomes two weeks , the last time it was the iwners son who placed my order for a couple parts and i was told it would be here wednrsday or Thursday so i call wed. And am told from someone it wont be here for abother 5-7 business days . So i tell him with frustation that i will look for the part somewhere else but to keep the order goin and then i hung up on him . I dont trust trust the guy so i came in thursday [today]and wanting to see if it was com8ng , come to find out the guy from the phone cancelled the order .... he said because i hung up on him he took it as i didnt want the order even though i said i still needed it . So i ended up talking to the owner today and he admitted it was his son who is new and did not know , sure accidents happen but you cannot just cancel on people and nit expect them to say something, i asked them to remove my info and i will let others k ow . The manager claimed he tried to reason with me but all he did was defend his son and employess which i applaud but then ask about my shop and what was the name so that he can write a bad review about me ... lol these people are very vindictive and but seems to fit the area very well . I wont be using these guys anymore i will just take the long journey and go to a place in sac where you expect to be treated like crap .so folks i will not recommend this place unless you enjoy being lied to and treated like crap. If the manager were to pay to get my parts faster or even offer anything i would have never placed this rant . Disappointing is the least I can say in regards to this business. I've been shopping for UTV's for weeks, all brands. Finally on Friday (6/14/19) i come across this dealership, it advertised on the web a 4 seat Polaris 570, with roof, windshield, rear panel, headache rack & side bed extenders INSTALLED for $11,999.00. I send an email that I am interested in this unit if still available. I hear nothing, I call on Tuesday (6/18/19) and "Mike" answers the phone, is this unit still available? "yes", it has the Winshied, roof, headache rack, side bed ext & rear panel? "yes", $11,999.00 ? "yes" do you deliver? "Yes, let me transfer you to my sales manager" ok. Lady picks up the phone, I ask the same questions and this is what I get "It doesn't have the headache rack or the side bed eats or the rear panel, I sold those items, I also sold the windshield, someone needed it. Plus that price did not include the installation or the windshield/Roof. I explained that your website clearly states, the following items installed are included in the price, they tried to jack up the price thousands! They said it was a mistake (took along time to use that excuse, even though I was just told yes by the prior person and the website!! BAIT & SWITCH. Don't support businesses like this. For being the ONLY name brand dealer type motorcycle shop in the entire town these guys are ridiculous. I have another type of motorcycle so I'll give them that but the don't have ANYTHING in stock..EVER! I even called for oil today, like motorcycle engine oil..
