Visiting from CT on travel assignment and was looking for a decent barber shop. I stumbled upon this place by luck, as I went to another shop down the street but they had a long wait time as only one barber was working that day. I left and went to Auburn Barber Shop and I am glad that I did. Awesome barber shop located in the heart of auburn. Nice old school feel to the place. The owner cut my hair and did a good job, also can carry on a convo as well. I'm staying in carmichael, which is about 25 min away, and it is worth it to drive up interstate 80 to go here. Highly recommended and will be returning for as long as I am in the area. read more

Been going there for at least ten years now. Great shop and friendly staff. They have the regular staff, and sometimes have part-time additional barbers. read more

This was my first time in Auburn and it's was a great experience. My friend got his hair cut here on a whim and let's just say we will be back. Liam did an amazing job. read more

Not the place to come if you're looking for straight lines and a good fade. I came in and asked for a skin fade and ended up getting a high and tight. He used the same length guard all the way around the sides of my head and there was no fade what so ever. Let alone I asked for a skin fade and there is no skin visible on the sides and back where it's supposed to be faded. The haircut was bad enough I didn't ask them to trim my beard. I went home and shaped up the mistakes as best as I could. I highly recommend going to a different barbershop where they know how to cut hair. Don't waste your time or money here!!! read more

Mid fade inch off the top 2 or 3 on the side, buzz cuts the whole way including the top, I'm almost bald now. You say an inch off top and expect a scissor trim not a buzz cut that removes 2 inches. Didn't even part the facial hair or trim it afterwards. Why did I pay? Why did he do it? Too old to be a barber? Super solid haircut, I hate it and look stupid. read more

I took my son here for a light trim & the lady basically shaved his side almost bald giving him the worst looking bowl cut ever. He was so upset !! I do not recommend this place at all. We ended up shaving his head when we got home. That's how bad it was. read more

My two boys and I went and saw Steve. He was absolutely amazing. Very personable and did a great job with the haircuts. We will definitely go back to see him again. read more

I'm a woman and I have a pixie cut, and I was given the advice to try a barber shop for maintenance instead of breaking the bank every 4 weeks in a salon. Gina cut my hair, and she did an excellent job! I showed her pictures of what I wanted (which was shorter than before) and she listened and also asked me how I liked things as she went along. They don't accept cards (which I didn't know at the time, oops!) so don't forget to bring cash. read more

I asked for a 1 all around and a skin fade, top was not a 1 at all. Unwelcoming service

Fantastic local barber shop! Cassie cut my hair and could not have been more delightful. She offered lovely conversation while I was in the chair, and I walked out feeling great about my hair. The prices are very reasonable at $16 for a cut. It's not easy to find a great value like that, considering the quality of service. I *highly* recommend this barber shop. read more

Steve and Cassie are great. Friendly, fast, personable, and always give great hair cuts. I was taking my son to a different barber shop but they would cut his hair different every single time and they would frequently not be in during advertised hours. We came here and have been coming back for the last 2+ years. My son won't let anyone else touch his hair now. read more

My husband has been going to the Auburn barber shop for some time now. I needed a haircut and discovered Cassidy works there and does both men and women's hair. She does beautiful work! Love my haircut. read more

Not from this town but I like to get a haircut the day before my work week starts and barber shop at home was closed..I am so glad I stopped in..Gina cut my hair and she did a great job but her personality and how relaxed she made me feel was truly awesome and not to mention Cassidy between the both of them I can see why it's a busy little shop..I will make sure to keep hitting this shop whenever I come thru Auburn even if it's to say hi..Thank you again for the great haircut and customer service. read more

Fine old timey barber shop; reasonable rates, competent barbers. But, they are extremely cavalier about mask requirements. No posted signs. The barber with all the tattoos marched through the shop multiple times without a mask. Most of the customers were not masked. And the place was crowded. As we are on the brink of a shutdown because of stuff like this, this is not acceptable. read more

I have been going here since I was 8 years old. Always consistent results! I would recommend to anyone who wasnts a good honest not frills haircut. read more

Auburn Barber Shop - Barbers Near Me - Auburn, California

Gina is legit. Just tell her to fix you. She knows more than you do about hair and you should just comply, you probably are not worthy. Gina will have you in stitches the whole time with her wry humor. Steve, the owner, is a cool laid back cat that gives a fine cut too. If you are reading this you probably need to fix your mop anyway so quit searching and strut on down. Just don't go around 3pm that's when I like to go and I hate a line, thank you. read more

I have returned about four times since my first visit in April. The shop is aobut 80 miles from my home. Steve (the owner) used to be in the first chair, now he is in the last chair. The cuts have all been the BEST. Steve listens to my request, which has changed as the seasons have changed. I leave with another GREAT cut. I will be returning in September for my next cut. Thanks Steve read more

AAhh Steve...Great job! Just moved to the area and had to depend on Yelp to locate a great cut. Well, I found the shop! Auburn Barber Shop. Steve cut my hair, and is the best cut I have gotten in a long time. His staff are very warm, fun and very courteous! Will be back for next cut with Steve! read more

An excellent barber shop in Auburn, second to Felicia at Kandy's Barber Shop. Three chairs and very short waiting time, usually 20 minutes at the most. read more

I started looking for a proper barber shop after a terrible experience at a chain salon. Found out about Auburn Barber Shop through a coworker and decide to give it a shot. Honestly, best freaking hair cut I have ever had. I am so used to asking for a cut, and having someone pull out some clippers and buzzzz. But the only time clippers were used here was to clean up around the ears and back of the neck. Awesome shop, will definitely go back. read more

Great place, excellent prices, good friendly service. They are used to hearing that the last place butchered your hair, I was in there after a bad Great Clips experience, the customer next to me had a similar complaint about a different place but very similar outcome. I recommend the Auburn Barber shop to any guy looking for a man's Baber shop that knows what they are doing for a reasonable price. read more

Great Barbers! John Is the gentleman that usually cuts my hair. He is one of the most professional and most detail orientated individual to pick up clippers. You cant get a hair cut with this sort of perfection anywhere else in Auburn. Thanks John for all the lines and unique cuts you have done for me over the years. read more

This is a true American Barber Shop. Three chairs, three very talented barbers that know how to cut hair the right way without all the salon frills. There is a wall full of aircraft pictures and old time barber memorabilia. Customers that arrive are friendly and great to converse with. If you want a real good haircut this is the place. read more
