I stumbled upon The Gentlemen's Barbershop in Auburn and I've never looked back. I have loved the experience so much I started getting my haircut every two weeks. I get my haircut by James. He is so personable, remembers the details about what you talk about, and does some of the cleanest fades. If you have an idea, specific style, or look you're trying to achieve - this is the place. Walk-ins only. Haircut quality is usually about a 3 outta 5. Vibe is 5 outta 5. I love all the ladies there. Very down to earth and friendly. They do hustle to keep it moving, so that extra attention you'll get from a $50 barber shop cut isn't there. I get a zero mid to high fade. You get your moneys worth and it feels like your family there. I usually tip generously $10 on top of $19 for a grand total of $29. Me and my 3 boys have been coming to him for years. In addition to a great haircut, I love that he is able to accommodate my schedule, staying a little late for me on some days. Hes super responsive when I text him for an appointment and I don't have to waste a bunch of time waiting. He owned Rocklin Barbershop until recently when he lost his lease. The new location isn't far from the old one. It's nice and clean with a modern industrial look. Lots of comfy seating and 3 TVs too. I met one other barber there who was very friendly but can only speak to Barber Matt's skills. Highly recommend him.

He even asked for a different barber and the new barber also did a poor quality job. Its painfully uneven from the back and looks like a mullet hack job. Its disappointing that he spent the time & money to give to this business only for them to continually disappoint. He's a nicer person than I am, so thats why I'm leaving the review on his behalf. He'll be going to a different barbershop moving forward. I actually can't tell if they are sabotaging him im not even kidding.
