However, today was first time I used their Curbside Pickup option. I placed an order online and paid for it. Next day I drove up, and called store to let them know I wanted curbside pick up. I was told to drive around back. A staff member was out in two minutes with my order. I was asked where I wanted him to put the order. I signed a paper acknowledging I received items. Then I was given my receipt and thanked for my business. Start to finish once I arrived at store was less than 6 minutes. Efficient process. I drove off to continue running errands.

UPDATE: Shout out to Store Manager (Mario) for working with me to resolve this situation…read more Good to know some people still have a heart and can apply logic despite "policy". Thanks again! ---- Original Post---- As a homeowner, my husband and I have shopped in both Lowe's and Home Depot for over 20 years. We have spent an extraordinary amount of money in both of these stores. We rarely need to make returns, but we just had a recent instance of having to return 5 bags of polymeric sand because we decided to have the job done by a contractor. I saved the receipt and my husband went to the store to return the sand. It was a VERY UNPLEASANT experience to learn that there is a 90 day window on returns (with receipt) and NO EXCEPTIONS ARE GRANTED FOR A RESELLABLE ITEM such as polymeric sand! Needless to say, we have made our LAST purchase at Lowes and I will be sharing this VERY NEGATIVE experience EVERYWHERE I can.

I think I have always bought power equipment from the big box stores. Price certainly was a factor…read morebut this year kind of changed that for me. I needed a new snow blower and order a Cub Cadet from Home Depot online. They dropped shipped the snow blower from the factory to me. It needed some assembly and after completing that assembly in an hour I realized the entire front of the snow blower was damaged by a forklift during shipping. After dealing with the not so nice folks at Home Depot I decided I was done making those kind of purchases at the big box stores. Went over to Falls Farm and Garden and bought a brand new Honda Snowblower. It definitely cost more but the quality of the actual snow blower was much better and the customer service I received was top notch from these guys. Fast forward 5 days I decided I also needed a new lawn tractor that I was trying to hold off on buying until spring. Would have gone with a John Deere that the big box stores sell but let me tell you the dealer models are so much better, I had no idea. Got a John Deere X384. Again not cheap but Falls Farm and Garden delivered it to me the same day because they knew I wanted to get some yard work done before winter. That meant a lot. Both the snow blower and lawn tractor had been filled with gas and delivery driver went over everything with me. Again they cost a bit more but the level of customer service you receive is worth it. You have gained a customer for life!
