They went above and beyond and delivered the flowers the same day. Additionally, in very short notice they were able to change the delivery address upon my request. The person I spoke with was delightful. I explained to her what type of flowers I was looking for over the phone and when I got the picture I couldn't be happier with the results. My friend loved the flowers as well. I really like that they send you a copy of the delivery confirmation as well as a picture of the flowers. Great service all around! I met her months before my wedding at the Coonamessett Inn on 8/2/14 and discussed the idea of blush roses, hydrangeas, and lots of lavender accents for my wedding. I really thought that she got my vision. We decided on "distressed" pedestals for the centerpieces with hydrangeas, open blush roses, and lavendar accents. She sent me a picture of a pedestal which she said would look "really great" at the Coonamessett Inn and I could not of agreed more. The picture of the distressed pedestal was exactly what I had envisioned. I was SO DISAPPOINTED at what I got. The pedestal was bright white which did not match my ivory linens and most importantly, it looked nothing liket he distressed pedestal that she promised. The flowers only had one or two blush open roses, mostly blue hydrangeas, and no lavendar :(. The centerpieces looked like a complete after thought and not put together by a professional florist. In fairness, my bouquet of open David Austen Roses were gorgeous and the bridesmaids bouquets with hydrangeas and accents of lavendar were also gorgous. She also did a great job with the ceremony - it looked beautiful and romantic as promised.

In wedding world that is practically tomorrow. Especially on Nantucket where travel an be difficult, and outside vendors aren't as easily swayed to get to the island. A summer or fall wedding would seem out of the picture with a 7 or 8 month lead, but thanks to Nantucket Island Events, I was able create the exact wedding that my Fiancé and I wanted and wouldn't have even dreamt about and I will say they absolutely delivered. I met Maureen while booking my venue as she is in charge of booking all events at The Galley. I had always dreamed of having for my big day there with a tent wedding since I was in my teens. After speaking with Maureen and Maggie regarding the venue, I knew I wanted to hire them as a full on wedding planning team. I had ever heard from friends that now live in Boston that Maggie and Maureen were, "the best of the best." Just knowing that they are able to communicate with my family and give them every piece of information that they would need to know was a huge weight off my shoulder. With the help of Nantucket Island Events, my Fiancé and I were able to have not only our perfect wedding, but it was beyond what I could have even imagined.
