This sugar shack has a mix of activities for adults and kids alike with the standard fare of things to do. There's the horse ride, an animal farm and a place to have some maple taffy. The hall is rather big with 2 different eating areas providing a different "dining" experience. Lalande manages to not make it feel like a commercial experience that so many of their competitors (ex: Constantin) completely fails to achieve. The single best thing I like about this place was the ROUND table we had for our party of 10...WITH REAL SEATS YO!! They managed to turn one of the more negative pain points of the Sugar Shack experience to a positive one. Comfortable seating and able to see and socialize with friends with family. Albeit this is not the case for the entire hall, but I'll take this experience every year! Another positive item was the service we had from Manon. She was so sweet and friendly and did her job so well! This is a special thing to note as these sugar shack waitress experiences tend to feel quite wooden and forgettable. Bon travail Manon!!! There was an animator seeing local folk songs with a bunch of happy patrons dancing away with a bunch of kids burning off all that sugar as they broke it down on the dance floor. So much twerking. I will admit I was very amused after hearing the animator singing "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" to the 25th person or so after an hour. He looks palatably amused as well. As for the food, it's the standard fare you have at Sugar Shacks. Eggs, bacon, ham, bread, hot dogs, cretons, potatoes, oreilles de crisssssssssssssssssss, sugar pie, poudding CHOMAGE, flapjacks, etc. All in all, very satisfactory. Only item would be the poudding chomeur not being prepped as I normally like it. The maple taffy experience was great. A bit of a line-up but we all understand why... soooo yummy. My only negative points would be the animals. Frankly the horses stank and looked dirty. They should be taken better care of and be cleaned on a regular basis. The animal farm was small, caged off but not too small. There were chickens, ducks, pigeons, goats, sheep, alpacas and a hamburger. I'm not a fan of these small farms albeit the kids like to see them and feed them. The $1 for handful of feed is a bad deal. In conclusion, this cabane a sucre was solid experience and I'd go back. It's just 15 minutes off the island and worth the trip.

Most sugar shacks are similar in that you can eat as much ham, beans, omelette and sausages as you want, but Constantin offers soft serve ice cream and fluffy pancakes that make all the difference! You can still opt for classic sugar pie and poudding chomeur too. You can buy premade meals to go, tons of maple products, visit a little petting zoo, go on a tractor ride, and book this shack for your own events - They do weddings and receptions. The place is always packed and booming with large groups, bus tours, senior citizens and students on an outting - Come on a weekday, as it's 4$ cheaper than the weekend. The few drawbacks are the long communal tables, you can be seated elbow to elbow next to strangers, the dining room is extremely noisy and I wish they offered breakfast style roasted potatoes rather than their plain boiled potatoes. If you can suck it up for a not so comfortable experience, you will be rewarded with delicious food.

There are hundreds of places within a 1hr radius of Montreal to go apple picking, Magie de la Pomme is probably not the best in all categories but for what it does, it's a star. Firstly the donuts: get some immediately. They are like a softball of light fried dough, hot tart apple, and baking sugar. Secondly: everything else! Plenty of parking, a couple of different fun tractors you can ride on out into the fields to go picking, 2 or 3 kinds of apples to pick and, in the further field (you can walk or wait for the blue tractor,) dozens of varieties of squash. The apple orchard and gift shop area felt a little crowded - we were there on one of the last warm weekends of the fall - but we ventured out to the gourds where it was quiet, played with the baby and the squashes and the dirt and the bugs, took the last tractor back to the barn at about quarter to 5, had some apple juice in the sun, waved good bye to the goats, and hit the road happy. The is a family farm run by folk who have been in St Eustache for 6 generations and you can feel it in all the easy smiles. Enjoy!

The windows were inviting to the sun so that felt really nice.Ther staff was helpful . the sauna was not too bad it could of been better it was small may 4 people could fit in there . The pool was a bit chilly and everyone in the parking lot could see you swim. I really enjoyed my stay there.
