The food was good as usual, however some of the dishes that came to our table arrived cold and had to sent back to the kitchen. Service was solid and attentive. The restaurant was busy, but the environment was good and very conducive to conversation at our table. Would I return? Yes. read more

This is a great restaurant. The first time I came across it was by chance. We were driving back to the UK from the French Alps and we needed to stop for dinner, so we headed into Macon and parked the car, then walked along the river looking at restaurants. This one seemed lively and had availability, and when we went inside we were greeted with a friendly smile and served promptly. And the food was delicious. So good in fact, that on the way home the following year after a similar trip, we specifically made the detour to come here. And we were again greeted with the same excellent service and the same delicious food. So next year we will come back here. There's no need to try anywhere else! read more

So happy we found this place! They have numerous wines on tap for you to try. The gentleman working…read morewas very sweet and helpful. I know jack smack about French wines but enjoyed speaking with him to learn anything I could. He gave us a card to account for our tab. You insert the card and select what size pour you'd like. I almost tried them all but we wanted to get back to our riverboat in time for lunch. I would of gone back again if we stayed in town longer. If you enjoy wine or want to try locals wines from Macon then I recommend visiting. Besides having local wines they have others throughout France and I even spotted canvasback from Washington state, USA! my favorites were the chardonnays and I thought I hated Chardonnay! We bought 5 bottles to carry back home to Florida with us. Of course we had to get Pouilly fuisse! Enjoy!!

A truly excellent meal: scenery, service, creativity and quality. We were biking along the Saone…read moreand stopped here for a leisurely lunch with a view. There were no empty tables but they quickly set something up for our group and we were soon seated facing the river. The server switched to English readily to translate and answer all our questions. The set menu with fish was light and flavorful and came with a creative array of vegetables to start. The lamb entree was perfect, some of the best food I've ever had. The recommended wine pairings added positively to the experience. The chef came by and took time to chat with us and make sure we were fully enjoying ourselves. He seemed to know quite a few of the other diners, even those who were from towns over an hour away. Definitely worth a trip, highly recommended!
