I was using Austin Regional…read moreClinic and waiting months for appointments, never really able to establish a relationship with a doctor, and never able to get an rx when I was sick, meaning I was also relying on UrgentCare for strep tests or a UTI. One Medical is so amazing. Yes, you pay a membership fee, but then, YOU CAN ACTUALLY SEE A DOCTOR. Like, the day you need to. Or, you do a video chat, or send your doctor a message that they actually respond to in a timely manner. The app is also super helpful and efficienct. They have this great feature that you can get immediate help for certain things like colds, yeast infections, or ordering a lab test. You fill out the information in the app, and someone gets back to you right away, putting in the lab visit or sending the rx to your pharmacy. I really don't think I have ever had medical access that is responsive and available when I need it. Their lab is open for drop ins throughout the day, and I have never waited more than 15 minutes to be seen. It is just really excellent service. I hope it stays this way!

They stick to their schedule well, I've never waited more than 5 mins over my appointment time. They have a lab in-office, so you don't have to go to a separate place for bloodwork. The doctors are respectful and kind - I really like my regular GP, but if he isn't available I'll see one of the other doctors and they are amazing too.

I live with a variety of chronic conditions that don't play well together, and he has been with me every step of the way. And, she puts her brain to work for her patients. She's helped me immensely, takes a root cause approach, and really thinks about the entire patient when it comes to health. In my opinion, she's also a beautiful mix of traditional internal medicine and integrative medicine. She's knowledgable across the spectrum and thoughtful in her approach. She's quick to offer OTC and home remedies for ailments. But, she also politely and diplomatically tells me when I need to consider taking antibiotics. She's also efficient when it comes to treatments and their costs. She was able to swap me from 2 injectable and 1 oral med that were all pricey for BHRT to a simple birth control pill that is free with my insurance. I also have a chronic condition that was dormant and has flared back up. She's been so patient and so kind with my angsty self. I truly feel fortunate that she's my doctor. I feel like we are partners in my health! And, the whole team at Euphora is great. They are all friendly and patient-focused. It's a wonderful place to get care.

He recognizes that you may not have money to give a drug a "try" and gives samples, he remembers your name, your family and the story you told him about a rash you had 7 years ago. He has been recognized by his peers, Texas Monthly and ... me? i have been seeing Dr. Hahn since 99. i have gone thru many life and medical changes. He was there all the way, keeping track, being supportive and not just a doctor that breezes in and out. He takes the time to listen and answer all your questions and is HONEST. his staff is AMAZING. i recommend him to anyone who is looking for a doctor. don't hesitate if you are looking, make an appointment. You will NOT regret it and will also become a long time patient. /true story.

It's like you're thumbing through some old vinyl, not knowing the era or the genre...just a bit bored and curious. You see one that you have no reason to believe you'll enjoy. You bring out your old turntable....put it on..and...whoa! Dr. Hahn is professional and knowledgeable and is a damn fine Primary Care Physician. He and his staff find time to squeeze me in for my minor emergencies (scratched cornea or needing to spend my flexible spending account dollars in the last week or the year) and attend to my yearly or biannual checkups. Having a staff which makes themselves available is very important. They have an emergency line to call off-hours He tries to understand where I am coming from, both personally and genetically and offers sage direction. He told me that men of my background have a higher risk of heart disease, even though they do not often exhibit signs of obesity. I told him it was because we have smaller diameter arteries in general. He listened. He is definitely a listener, teacher and learner. And he is open. He is my wife's doctor too. When she was pregnant and suffering from hip pains, he prescribed alternate medicines including acupuncture. He didn't quite realize that a quick chiro-adjust was what she needed, but he does have a holistic approach. Which brings me to my next point. He's not god. I think the more mechanical aspects or perhaps some female-specific aspects may be a tad out his realm. That's why you also have specialists. If you're pregnant and have aches and pains, I'd actually recommend going to our midwife, Michelle, first. (http://www.yelp.com/biz/michele-fitzgerald-cpm-austin) But OVERALL, if you're looking for a primary care physician to look after your needs, Dr. Hahn is da man. Just to give you an example of one of my dodgier experiences, pre-Hahn, I recall having to get some blood work prior to marriage per an instruction sheet which originated in puritanical New England, where I was to get married. So, this good 'ole boy Texan doctor read the sheet and noted that he was to have some sort of "discussion about Marriage" with me. This caught us both by surprise. The doctor in question looked at me and said: "Don't screw around on your wife, you probably know the rest". Pretty Crude. Funny, in retrospect, but he just didn't read the moment well. Hahn is a breath of fresh air.

I recently wrote a review for my new AWESOME dentist and it had me thinking about my AWESOME…read moredoctor, Dr. Sorensen. I'm surprised there aren't any reviews of her yet - she runs a small practice but she's a big deal. My first appointment with her was last fall. I was overdue for my annual and, like any normal human being, wasn't looking forward to it. A good friend recommended her with a glowing review. My intention was to call the office, just to ask if she was accepting new patients (she only accepts 600-800 so I figured my chances of getting in were slim). Much to my surprise, Dr. Sorensen was the one to answer the phone! That impressed me enough that I scheduled an appointment for the next week. My first impression of Dr. Sorensen was excellent, and things only got better from there. She literally does everything - she is a one-woman staff, which means she does everything from checking your vitals to dealing with insurance. This approach means that you get to spend more time with her, which means that you feel like anything but just another patient. She also takes a conservative approach to medicine, so when I told her about my occasional anxiety, she recommended things like yoga instead of jumping to more invasive/expensive treatments. Best part of my experience with her? I ended up having a bit of follow-up work the next day, and was obviously concerned about the results. She got back to me the next morning to let me know all was OK and thoroughly explain everything. And the day after that, I got my pap results back. That's right...TWO DAYS after my appointment I got my pap results! I'm used to waiting a minimum of two weeks. She called as soon as she got the results because she didn't want me to worry longer than I needed to...wow. If you are looking for a doctor who uses modern technology (online scheduling, mostly paperless, etc.) but won't provide you with the typical, cold doctor's experience, I strongly recommend Dr. Sorensen.

My initial visit was very through and the Dr took as much time as was needed to understand my medical history, make suggestions, ask questions and actually sit down and have a conversation! That is impressive in todays world. Her practice is purposefully small, self-managed and her interest in medicine and people is clearly visible in how she runs her business and treats her patients. I nearly fell out of my chair when I called to schedule an appointment and Dr Sorensen answered the phone herself. Unheard of! She also makes herself available on nights and weekends to answer calls or come to the office in case urgent issues arise. I believe she truly cares about her patients and wants to manage her practice with the best technology and information available to her. She leverages technology to allow her to have the time to treat the patients, rather than using technology as a crutch to fit more patients into her day. I was thoroughly impressed with Dr. Sorensen, her sense of professionalism was first rate and she has a compassionate manner that is ideal for families looking for a Family Practice. If all small businesses could be run in the same manner Dr Sorensen is running her business, we would have a true sense of what community really means.
