This company is wonderful. I found them online and had my 1962 Cleveland French horn refinished to…read morebrand new status and bought a case from them as well. I would recommend them highly. It's a beautiful instrument. They bake on the finish rather than the cheaper method, which supposedly is the better way to go And cost the same amount of money so there's no built-in obsolescence when you buy a brand new instrument they put the worst finish on those and they don't bake it normally because they want you to buy a new instrument every 10 or 20 years. Another thing to know is Auld instruments are best to purchase and get refinished, because the brass is brand new and not garbage brass like the new instruments are made. If you do have an old French horn or instrument take it and compare it with brand new ones at the store and you'll find that your old instrument sounds much better than the new ones do - it's amazing! The reason being is the brass is old and new and not recycled and made from old brass it's made from brand new brass that was never used before and recycled. It's the recycled brass. It's no good. It doesn't resonate anymore or as well as the new old brass.!!! Purchase an old instrument and have it made like new again and we sure will be very happy with that or use your old instrument yourself that you've already had for so many years!

I've been doing business with these folks for about 4 years and have always been treated very well. I've had to return, trade in, trade up - you name it - and I have never ever had a problem with not getting full credit or being charged miscellaneous fees. Special thanks to Alex and Darius that helped me today. Both were super nice and very knowledgeable.

As I entered the store to drop my kid off for music lessons, one of the employees calls out in the crowded store that I need to pay my bill for the new month. I ask her how much I owe and she tells me I have to take it up with the owner. The owner Steve Geis enters 5 min later and rudely tells me in a very loud voice with a room full of people looking on that we did not show the week before (though I told his staff and and our instructor 3 weeks prior and still paid in advance for the lesson). After explaining to him that we alerted them in advance he accuses me of lying, shows me the schedule where they wrote "no show" and pulls the instructor out my kid's lesson to challenge me. As as I talk to the instructor Steve cuts me off and starts loudly talking over me. Long story short, Steve Geis is rude, disrespectful, and has no concept of customer service. After my kid uses the lessons we paid for in advance, I will think long and hard about continuing to patronage this establishment. I would recommend that if you are looking for professionalism, customer courtesy and ownership of reputable character GO ELSEWHERE. Great business practices start at the top and trickle down to the employees... and this is certainly lacking on many fronts. There are too many other great schools out there. SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE.
