Hubby and I went here a cpl weeks ago and the older gentleman and young lady were very nice. I…read morefound a piece I really liked and when the young lady suggested selling and putting towards any item or layaway, I thought, cool! I have tons of pieces I can get rid of since it would be easier to sell them and put towards something than to repair them all. I got all my pieces together, well most and begged hubby to take me back today (Juneteenth) and when I tell you I'll NEVER go back!!! The older lady came to help and from the beginning I just wanted to walk back out! She was so nasty to the point of frustration. I held my tongue bc I just kept remembering my previous experience but no matter how calm and cool I was, she just kept responding with aggression and nastiness. Even after I sold my pieces and said I'm not done you'll be taking 1/2 of this back, she was just nasty. I finally just decided not to get the piece I liked and left. That lady was enough to make me never want to return.

I often buy firearms online and then they are shipped to various local FFL (Federal Firearms…read moreLicense) dealers to finish the lawful "transfer" of the item to the purchaser. I had purchased a small .22 rifle from a company called Midway and they recommended Lightning Pawn as the FFL to have the item shipped to in order to finish the paperwork and transfer the item. Well, NEVER AGAIN. I received confirmation from the seller that the item had been received bt the FFL and was ready for pickup. When I got there the staff at Lightning Pawn were Rude, Condescending and Argumentative. They then informed me that the item wasn't ready and that I didn't know how the process worked. I have MANY firearms that I have have transferred through FFLs. I am very familiar with the process and the paperwork. Lightning Pawn was HORRIBLE!

The pawn shop is very dirty, with overpriced inventory and after a brief encounter I detected questionable business practices. I would definitely be very careful if you decide to do business with this place. Based off Jim's demeanor, lack of respect for potential customers. I would not trust him or his pricing for anything in their inventory. I do not recommend.

Let me preface this review by saying you should never have to pawn your stuff for cash. However, if…read moreyou do, DO NOT DO IT WITH THIS PAWN SHOP!! They are unprofessional and they do not care about your belongings. My boyfriend pawned his Beats by Dre headphones there quite a while ago. The plan was to get the headphones back in a couple of weeks because we were in a tight spot. So we got back to the shop a couple of days later than we meant to and they charged us for that. And on top of that they opened the store 43 minutes later than the posted time on the door!! THEY WERE ALL JUST STANDING THERE INSIDE THE STORE!!! We did get the headphones back, but they weren't in the great condition we had left them. It was very obvious someone attempted to use them on a setting that was too small for their big fat head and split (cracked) the headphones right in the middle of the top!! When my boyfriend complained about the condition of the headphones, they told him that he signed a waiver of acknowledgement that the store assumes no responsibility for the condition of any of your belongings!! He can't even use them anymore!!! BOTTOM LINE: NEVER EVER come to this store!!

If the manager, Jeff, whom I purchased the gun from wasn't such a great guy and I wasn't so interested in the gun I would've walked away in a heartbeat. Damn near still did.
