If you have a child in band, orchestra or are in need of anything related to music including lessons, look no further. I've been doing business with these folks for about 4 years and have always been treated very well. I've had to return, trade in, trade up - you name it - and I have never ever had a problem with not getting full credit or being charged miscellaneous fees. I never write reviews but feel compelled to leave this because of the horrible treatment that I received at Whole Note Music Store and school. As I entered the store to drop my kid off for music lessons, one of the employees calls out in the crowded store that I need to pay my bill for the new month. I ask her how much I owe and she tells me I have to take it up with the owner. The owner Steve Geis enters 5 min later and rudely tells me in a very loud voice with a room full of people looking on that we did not show the week before (though I told his staff and and our instructor 3 weeks prior and still paid in advance for the lesson). After explaining to him that we alerted them in advance he accuses me of lying, shows me the schedule where they wrote "no show" and pulls the instructor out my kid's lesson to challenge me. As as I talk to the instructor Steve cuts me off and starts loudly talking over me. Long story short, Steve Geis is rude, disrespectful, and has no concept of customer service. After my kid uses the lessons we paid for in advance, I will think long and hard about continuing to patronage this establishment. I would recommend that if you are looking for professionalism, customer courtesy and ownership of reputable character GO ELSEWHERE. Great business practices start at the top and trickle down to the employees... and this is certainly lacking on many fronts. There are too many other great schools out there. I was a regular going customer but after today's phone call to the store manager I was simply asking if they had a product and he was very short with me and I still had another question and he just cut me off and ran me off the phone before I could ask it and then he hung up the phone. read more

this place is pretty mediocre. They are easily the most expensive on their strings and accessories. I wasnt impressed with the customer service of the owner when i was there. Why get into a people business if you're going to be rude to people. There are other music stores in the vicinity with better pricing and good attitudes of customer service. read more

I rented a clarinet for my child at Whole Note using their rent to buy program. It is quite a distance from Newnan but we'd heard good things about this particular band instrument store. Over one summer she decided she wanted to move out of band to peruse other activities. So we turned the clarinet back in. Then, just a few months later, she decided she did want to go back in band. So we went back to Whole Note and explained our dilemma. To our pleasant surprise, Whole note was able to get us an upgraded clarinet. And here's the best part - our rent for the other clarinet was credited towards the new one in the rent to buy program. Eventually, we paid off the clarinet so now it is ours! All the staff seem to genuinely care about the students and know their band needs. The owner took special care to explain the instrument to my daughter and I also observed him offering these same instructions to other customers children when picking up instruments. read more
