Despite these clear instructions just about every stick of furniture was sold. She sold items that were part of the home. An example is a brand-new shed that was attached to the garage less than 1-year-old which was sold for $400 of which she kept half of the money. Chlorine tablets for my pool were sold so the pool could not be maintained. So a warning to whoever uses this service be aware that they will sell any and everything to make a dollar despite what you request. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Of the last four purchases, one lot of plates was half counterfeit, one set of plates had flea bites that were not noted or visable in photos(perhaps happened after sale), one shipped box arrived with only one of five items intact, and my most recent--I purchased an entire lot for just one thing. It was a small easel. The fact that it didn't have a back piece to stand on was masked by leaning it against a wall in the photos. No note that it was not intact and that the broken piece did not even exist. I spent a lot of money for a box of things I didn't need and paid to ship. Plus I paid to ship an item that has zero function as the legs are missing. That's enough for me I won't be purchasing from them again.

We were lied to so many times.  if you are a woman, do not show emotion because walt cade will use that to take advantage of you.  So much happened,  so many lies that it's hard to fit in a small review, but i will do my best.... I guess we will start from the very beginning. my wife inherited her grandmas house and entire contents, which consisted of a ton of furniture, jewelry, china, and much more. she didn't want to get rid of it. However, it was just too much.  we stored as much as we could and thought we would take the rest to an auction. now i'm not an idiot i know how auctions work, and I know you are not going to get retail for it.  but what walt cade did was disgusting. If we wanted to donate our belongings, we would have given it to charity or church.  when we brought our stuff to walt cade, from the second we unloaded it him and his staff were bragging about how well the things were gonna do in auction (any other auction i think it may have). how he had such a vast clientele from his time on tv show storage wars. still reluctant, my wife asked if there was a minimum bid.  he did honestly say there was no minimum bid,  however he followed that up with some story about some lawn mowers over in the corner that didn't get high enuff bids so he wouldn't release them to the bidder... which we later found out is not true and would be illegal if he did..(just another lie)  and the reason why items that retail for hundreds and even thousands of dollars sold for less than $100 even as low as $1... again, please consider this and search outside of Walt Cade website. you will find similar reviews. after we left, we went home, and i watched my wife cry her eyes out for over 24hrs when i finally said hey walt seemed like a decent guy.(I've never been so wrong) tell him we don't want to sell. offer him some money if we can pick it up and cancel service.  We offered him $600. and seeing a woman in distress sent walt cade's greedometer through the roof.  knowing that my wife was in distress, he thought he could capitalize.  and said she could only get it back if we paid him $1k + 3 days wages for his workers.  who, by the way, had not lifted a finger at this point. knowing we didn't have the money, we had no choice but to continue with the auction(looking at legal options now) so unwillingly and against our wishes the auction continued.  but please don't give out things away, we begged. he did his whole storage wars song and dance, you have very nice stuff and it will do well you will be happy.  which is another lie because we didn't want to sell. The money didn't matter, so the only thing that would have made us happy is to get her things back like we requested.  but no walt felt lining his pockets took precedence over being a good man, a good american, and a good Texan.  and literally gave our things away.  now i know everybody thinks their stuff is worth more than it probably is... except we had it appraised before we had it moved here from california (for insurance purposes). so when i say walt cade gave our things away i mean literally.  i took what little money i had and bid on a few very important things and got back what i could.  only to find out that not only does walt get a over paid 50% off seller end, but he also takes 15% off buyer's end plus an additional dollar for each item listed.  so when he sells an item for $1 he takes half leaving us with $0.50, then he takes a dollar for listing the item which puts us having to pay him the half we would have gotten plus an additional $0.50 out of our pocket... in short, we had to pay him $0.50 to give our stuff away.... it's just sickening!!...When i went to collect the items i bid on,  i did not have enough room in my car for it all. so i asked them if i could pick the 1 box up the following day. (Mind you, i had kept calm and collected the entire time), and this scum bag refused to let me pick it up the following day.  1 box could not hold for a day...1 box... IN CLOSING AND ONE LAST TIME IF I CAN STOP ONE PERSON FROM BEING TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF BY WALT CADE WITH MY EFFORT. THAN IT WAS WORTH THE EFFORT OF POSTING THIS WARNING ON EVERY SINGLE SITE I CAN IMAGINE, INCLUDING BBB, TDLR, YAHOO, GOOGLE, ETC.... IF ANYONE FEELS THE SAME ABOUT THEIR DEALINGS WITH WALT CADE FEEL FREE TO SHARE THIS STORY ANYWHERE AND EVERYWHERE... PEOPLE DON'T DESERVE TO BE TREATED THIS WAY... ESPECIALLY A GRIEVING WOMAN...
