This is my first time using this location to park. I did it due to the heat and rain potential…read morewhile I was away. My ONLY issue was this...I got there and I had a reservation. The lady told me to park in aisle 9. I went down all of aisle 9 to find ONE spot open. I have a midsized truck, nothing too big. But I couldn't get it parked. There was not enough room for me to do a nine point turn and get parked without blocking the other two cars next to me. I wasn't sure what to do. So, I went to a different aisle where I finally got enough room to get in a space. It wasn't perfect but I would do. The shuttle driver picked me up and said, "I have been looking for you why aren't you in aisle 9?" I had to explain in front of a bus full of people how I couldn't get my truck parked. LOL. Not a big deal as far as I was concerned. From that point forward it was money well spent. Driver was very courteous. I got dropped at the terminal quickly. Return trip, shuttle was there as soon as I walked outside the terminal. I got dropped straight to my back bumper. Didn't have to walk in the heat up and down aisles trying to remember where I parked. Suitcase was removed by the driver. I wish I had cash to tip, but I just don't carry it anymore. Got in my cool vehicle and headed straight out. Now that I have used The Parking Spot I will be recommending it to everyone.

The van was full and when the driver spoke, we could not hear him. He did one stop in premium parking then continued. When we entered the regular covered parking, one passenger spoke up and said they were also in premium parking. The driver stopped and then got snippy and said they should have given him their ticket. When they said they did, he looked in the trash can and found their ticket. He claimed he said their spot, but we did not hear him do so. In fact, other drivers usually stop at the spot, stand up and say clearly the number of the spot. This driver did not do so. After going around to the missed premium spot, my stop was the next one. Again, he did not stand up and say the number, but we knew it was ours. As my daughter and I only had backpacks, we did not need his help on leaving. But as my daughter was carefully stepping down to the ground level, the driver closed the door on her arm. No apology and she barely got out of the way before he drove off. I have been using The Parking Spot since its opening for both business and pleasure travel. This incident and the fact that it is extremely difficult to get to The Parking Spot now, will cause me to look elsewhere. An Email to management did not result in a satisfactory solution.

They have a lot of shopping, dining and entertainment spots. Saw an ice rink as well. There are both street and garage parkings available. It was busy when we visited around a Saturday afternoon. They had several big stores such as Dillard's, DSW. Barnes & Noble, Dicks, and Old Navy. There are many other branded and local small stores too such as Roots KC, Torrid, VS, AE, Sephora and more. Among dining spots I was surprised to see a Mochinut store. There were also Buffalo Wild Wings, Cold Store, Ihop, Outback, Red Robin, Subway, Smokehouse BBQ, among the well known brands. We spent some good family time here shopping and dining. All the places we stopped by had friendly service. Priced varied depending on store types. The area seemed safe and clean. Overall a really good place to visit outside of KC downtown area.

I love Weston. It's a charming little midwestern town with some fun shops, great eats, wineries,…read moreB&Bs, and it makes for a great little getaway from KC. We've been going here since we were kids picking apples at the long-shuttered "Vaughn's Apple Orchard." Rest easy, there are several other places to pick such as the Red Barn Farm and others that a Yelp search will take you to. Also love that there's the Holladay Distillery up here, the Weston Irish Fest in the fall, and just the overall sense of adventure of heading up and into the rolling hills that surround the area. It's not as lively in the wintertime, but they do have Snow Creek nearby which is pretty fun. I'm not much of a skiier but they do have snow-tubing that is a blast.

The first thing I noticed was that coming from the lower parking lot that the sidewalks were still in bad repair since my previous visit in 2020. As we worked our way to Pyrtle's I noticed that the sidewalks were in worse repair with severely raised sections, broken with large holes, etc. For the money this town brings in, tax money made, it's obvious the city officials are only interested in collecting that money, but not in the safety of their visitors, who by the way are frequently older and have mobility issues. It was the first time there for the person I brought and they were unimpressed. In window browsing we heard others commenting in the same way, to include that they also weren't coming back. Drifted down to Parkville and wow what a difference. We shopped and ate there.
